    Amazing service. Wasn't able to schedule an appointment but rather came in as a walk in and with in an hour and a half maybe 2, tops. My oil change and tire rotation was done. Very surprised and very much appreciative of this amazing service.

  • Another Home Run

    I have been using Honda cars of McKinney for almost 20 years and have received great service. I trust them 100% to fix what needs to be fixed and to do an excellent job while doing it. And I have only been disappointed one time when they could not fix a break problem on my 2006 civic and I had to trade it in for a 2008 civic. They have great employees working there who are friendly, personable, and knowledgeable.

    Service consultant Ron Tranka explained in detail the maintenance that was required. He also let me know what could wait and what needed to be taken care of right away. Based on discussions with Ron, it made sense to take care of everything. I have been taking my cars to him for years and he always makes sure nothing is missed once the care is finished. I can't say enough about the service department in general. Great place to get your car worked on and maintained.

    The service department is why I continue to go to Honda Cars of McKinney. They provide excellent quality service and always go above and beyond to ensure that the customer is satisfied. I previously had a Ford that I had the Honda service department work on because the fird dealer was unable to fix my issue after 3 visits. I now own only Honda vehicles due to the service department. Great service and fair prices.

  • An unexpectedly good experience.

    I usually avoid dealerships, but I’m new in town. I had three problems that would cause me to fail inspection. It was easy to make an appointment, they explained things well, and I didn’t feel as if they were trying to sell me more work than what I really needed. And they provided a Lyft to take me home and pick me up the very next day. Quick work, no add-ons. Thanks, Keil. (My only concern is that not all the employees were wearing masks.)

  • Sales Review

    I bought the car from Honda Cars of Mckinney, when i bought the car they offered me 2.9 APR. Since i am getting low APR even thow increased my Car price i bought the car. After 3 weeks of car delivery they called me and saying that my loan is not approved and asked me look finance by my self. When i went to finance by myself with bank i got 6% APR which will increase my total payments. But when i asked to reduce the car price with the dealer, since my interest rate is gone up, they said they will not reduce. Please be aware of this sales manager and also aware of their finance guy. I never recommend this dealer to buy a car.

    We've been using Honda Cars of Mckinney for our vehicles (sales and service) for the past 15 years. Always in the past, we have had a good relationship with the folks and management in the service department. I could always count on my wife taking her car in for service and being treated with respect and honesty--no high pressure sales tactics, no fake stories about things wrong with her car. I'm educated as an engineer and know just about everything there is to know about the various subsystems of an automobile; I just don't have time to change oil and do repairs. In the past, Mckinney has done all of our maintenance and several substantial repairs for us--all of which very good experiences. I have referred numerous friends to them and bragged on their honesty and integrity. However, for the past two years, things have been changing. We have experienced an increasing number stories about things 'wrong'. In the most recent visit, my wife reports the service technicians bringing dirty air filters and other components into the waiting room to pressure some of the senior folks into more services. In that same visit, my wife was told that she needed several thousand dollars worth of repairs immediately. They scared her so bad that she called me to say she was afraid to drive the vehicle off the lot. When she got home, I reviewed the service report and inspected the vehicle. And I most certainly classify all of the items they 'warned' her about as preventative maintenance items at best--most of which were unnecessary or were not necessary yet. It is clear to me that Honda Cars of Mckinney has had a change in philosophy; either that, or they are near bankruptcy and are taking desperate measures to make payroll, etc. I recommend other long term customers who are experiencing this to search elsewhere. I know we will. regards.
  • Dishonest

    This happened a while back so I dont know how they are now but you only burn me once. Wife had bought a van from them and bought a high dollar extended warrinty. That covered everything but things designed to wear out brakes tires and so on. AC stoped working and when we took it to them was told it was going to cost a little over a thousand to fix. Told them we had the warrinty and they looked it up and said that this was not covered. I fussed and said it was so. They told us to bring the contract in and of coures we couldnt find it. We payed for the repairs and went on. 9 months later we find the contract and guess what IT WAS COVERED. Went back in with the contract and receipts . They agreed that we were correct and that all work was covered but it was too late to correct at that time. So they more are less said so sad too bad and so long dont come back because we dont care.

    The people I have dealt with at the service center are very helpful but the person responsible for fixing my car did a terrible job! I was told my car was ready so I drove an hour to the dealership to find that their version of ready was different than mine. There was tape still on my trim because it wasn't done setting long enough yet and there was a dent still in my car from the hail damage they were fixing. Not only that, but when I got all the way home I saw that there were scratches down the side of my car that were not there before I took it in and there was grease/oil stains all over my tan interior!! When I went to open my trunk some pieces fell off on the inside of it and the same with the hood insulator?!?!?! I have been to a lot of body shops and service centers and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had!!
  • Service writers not well informed

    On a couple of visits for out-of-warranty isues I found the dealership not customer friendly or responsive. Specifically, on a door lock issue, the writer came back with a 'fix' that basically was to replace the entire masterdoor switch ($350 parts & Labor). However, the writer continued to then say this was just a "starting point" to see if issue would resolve with NO guarantee. This was AFTER paying a $59 "Diagnostic Fee". Not havig a very fuzzy feeling about where this might end, I found another source to replace the master door switch (with same new part # from Honda). Surprise! That did NOT fix the problem. Now, I'm seeking another place to diagnose and fix as I will NOT give my money to THIS dealer.

    I took my wife's Pilot for a timing belt change. They wanted to charge 2 hrs of labor just to replace the tensioners, which they have to remove anyway for a timing belt change. On another occasion, they charged me 1 full hour of labor for something that took 15 minutes ( I waited).
  • $40 worth of Nitrogen to replace the air in the tires on my wife's Accord!

    My wife took her 2008 Accord to Honda Cars of McKinney for it's first oil change. She mentioned to the service advisor that there was a light displayed on the instrument panel. It turns out that it was the low-pressure warning light for the tires. The service advisor gave her a hard sell on filling the tires with Nitrogen to reduce the possibility of this happening in the future. So instead of just checking the tires and adding air, she was sold a $40 procedure to replace all of the air in all the tires with Nitrogen. What a scam! This is the first time in 20 years of owning Honda cars and having them serviced by Honda delaerships that I feel that my wife was taken advantage of. So much for getting factory authorized service from a reputable dealership. I can only guess what the markup on this is and what incentives are given to the service advisors to push this "snake oil" onto customers who are not technical enough to see through it.
