    WARNING FROM BBB: CURRENT ALERTS FOR THIS BUSINESS Pattern of Complaint: Since July 2022, the BBB of Greater Houston & South Texas has received several complaints and customer reviews on Humble Hyundai that exhibit the following patterns. According to the consumer’s disputes, it is being alleged that Humble Hyundai will negotiate pricing but once the consumer arrives at the dealership the price is higher than agreed upon. Also, per consumer’s disputes, it is being alleged that the dealership is including add-ons during the financing phase without prior knowledge. Some consumers are reporting that they are unsuccessful in reaching the finance department to cancel warranties. Per one consumer's complaint, they were told it is a requirement to have the extra warranty ($1897) in order to purchase the car. When they checked the paperwork, the add-ons were voluntary and not mandatory. They feel the company is utilizing deceptive practices to force consumers to buy extras. Do not buy or deal with these dealerships before reading the reviews on the BBB and on-line. Be forewarned that several customers report that they are manipulated in giving the dealerships a high rating in exchange for a free service. If the reviewer does not across the board give high marks, the offer for the free service is reneged. So be wary of any high marks. The three dealerships are owned by Paul Peebles. The General Manager at Humble Hyundai is John Kay and the Fixed Ops Director at the three dealerships is Tim Shipe. Rather than honor my safety recall appointment of three weeks, I was told that I needed to return because the part was not available and that customers need to come in first to have their VIN number and odometer photographed before the recall part can be ordered. Total BS. They then give you a 21-point inspection list of REQUIRED IMMEDIATE ATTENTION items: brake flush 169.95; fuel injection cleaning service 179.95; engine coolant 159.95; transmission fluid change 331.37; and most incredibly, an alignment of 119.95 for tire damage and abnormal wear [for 4 one-month old tires with alignment done at time of purchase]. $1,040.64 worth of unnecessary repairs. I was then put on a DO NOT SERVICE list because I became upset when I was lied to and made to waste my time and work.

    I brought the car I recently bought in to get the inspection so I can get the license plates. Jessica checked me in, I thought it would be a quick event however, I sat in the waiting room 3 hours with no word, before I went and told them I had an appointment in 15 minutes I needed to get to so I needed my car back. Its at that point Jessica tells me they can't get my car to pass inspection and asks if they can give me a loaner car so I can get to my appointment. I agreed, she said they would detail and clean my car for all my trouble, and I left thinking I would get my car back the next day, on Friday. I waited with no call and with no word till It was Tues 5 DAYS! I called to check on my car since I still had not heard a word from the dealership! Jessica says they got the part in and would "try" to have it done tomorrow, Wednesday. I was angry at how long this is taking and no one bothered to call and tell me what was going on. So I asked her, please CALL me and let me know, keep me posted! She apologized and assured me she would do that. Wednesday came and went, no call, Thursday came and went, still no call, Friday afternoon still no call!! Angry, I had my secretary call and tell them I'm coming to get my car NOW done or not! Oh its done, they tell her. ITS DONE? GGGRRRRR Of course NOBODY called. And when I picked up my car do you think it was detailed..... NOPE! Not one thing that girl said to me was the truth! NOT one thing! This place used to be great for service till they hired her!! And on a side note that brand new car they lent me has something wrong with it, when your in the car 30 minutes you begin to taste something in your mouth and nose. Its like a oil taste, or something. After about an hour especially with the AC running the headache will start pounding in both temples. After about an hour and a half you have to get out of the car! Maybe I'm allergic to some chemical they use in new cars and maybe not. I did have other people in the car and never said a word about this and yet they started commenting about the funny taste they suddenly had in there mouth. One person blamed it on their breakfast. It's not your breakfast I explained, its this car.

    This experience was much better than on previous visits. They did all the work faster than they quoted and the service manager taking care of me was very nice. So much better than the one they had several years ago. He seemed to genuinely care about his job and my satisfaction.

    Mark was very helpful. I left some items in the waiting room. I called him and asked him to please get the items. Upon returning, he not only got the items but gave them to me without me having to get out of the car. Mark has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. No matter what I need he always takes the time to be helpful. Another time, I was having trouble with my blue tooth phone system. And again, he took time from his busy schedule to be helpful and fix the problem. Thank you Mark for all you do! As well, he makes sure that services rendered are well done and with accurate timing.

    Easy to make appt. with, courteous on phone, work took several hours and was provided a loaner car, was given an update call, work was finished exactly when expected. Very happy with job. I love my 2013 Santa Fe!!!!

    I recently had my 2011 Sonata serviced here. First, they were considerably more economical than another dealer closer to my job. Secondly, Mark and the rest of the service staff were pleasant as well as professional. It is refreshing to know that customer service still exists!
