Bad Customer Service
by barhosh on 10/18/2008I had an appointment to test drive a 335i coupe. The sales person was not prepared and he forgot to call me to let me know that the car was sold the day before. I had to drive over an hour to get there! When I asked him for help on a… different car, he didn't seem interested in offering me anything and said that if I don't buy the car someone else will!....Don't waste your time driving all the way over there.Excellent!

He was able to find the right car for me and I was in and out within an hour. The whole experience was great which is a refreshing… change from previous car buying experiences. My sales advisor was very knowledgeable about the car's features, was able to… answer all of my questions, keep me up to date on the delivery process and fulfill my requests during the sales process. Also, the support didn't stop after buying the car. I received periodic follow-ups checking on how the car is performing and if I had any questions. All in all, Austin did a job well done.Great Experience

I actually go out of my way to use this dealership because of terrible sales experience with Momentum West....salesman there had the nerve to write me a nasty email… after I didn't purchase a car there. Back to BMW North, TJ Rennie was my salesman both times. He is excellent, very experienced and had good suggestions during the buying process. The first car I purchase was a 2 year old used 550i, I called and negotiated a price over the phone with TJ and came and closed that same day. I was expecting some kind of change to the deal or lots of upsells...etc. No, it was straight forward and not a hassle. I just recently traded the 550i in for a nearly brand new 2013 650i. Again, another great experience with TJ. Just a few thoughts in general in purchasing a BMW car. Service at the dealership ANY dealership is a bit of a pain. Typically loaner cars are not available on short notice. I recommend that if you want a BMW and are concerned about service, you consider finding a mechanic and body shop to handle small things that don't require going to the dealership. If you are going to the dealership for brake jobs, oil changes, alignments, and other non-dealership necessary service you might be annoyed. Secondly, you should do your homework and research your own financing options, know what car you are interested in and the differences in options/pricing, and be aware of how popular/rare certain models are. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the sales experience that sounds like uneducated buyers. Some models are more available and thus have more flexibility in pricing. Also if you cannot qualify for financing with your own bank then consider that your in a weaker negotiating position than someone who can. So in general, the more you pre-plan and prepare for buying the car the better the experience will be and likley the better you will be able to negotiate.Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Two years ago, I walked in and test drove an X5 and was astounded by the friendliness of the staff. The sales representative was Benny Bui. He was friendly and not… pushy at all. I had indicated that I had just begun shopping and it would be a while before I made a decision. Two years later, I went back to the dealership, asked for Benny, and completed my purchase. This time, my wife test drove the vehicle also and we were hooked. Benny was very patient with us as was the Sales Manager and Finance Manager. The facilities are IMMACULATE and look new. This is a great place to buy a luxury performance vehicle without the worry of having to fend off pushy sales people.Thank you for your honest review!
