Horrible Experience after Harvey
by JQCanyonGate on 09/17/2017Abraham Godinez, stay away from this salesman who doesn't care for anything but making a buck from you. As many others in our community both our cars were totaled along with our house and possessions. Along with dealing with everything… else we've been researching car options while our insurance claims are processed. Finally after a long day dealing with our home we decide to visit Mac Haik to see four vehicles I had picked out from their online inventory of new cars. I had been researching all week long. I came in with my wife and children since I wanted this to be a positive experience for all. We were greeted at the door by this salesman, Abraham Godinez. He directed us to his working area where we sat down. I was very sincere by starting the conversation saying we were still waiting for our claim checks and will not be closing a deal right then and there. I also specified that I was expecting the funds this weekend. When I showed him the screen grabs with both explorers he stopped me to asked again how many cars I wanted to see. When he heard four, two explorers and two expeditions, his response was that I needed to narrow my list down because he was too busy. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. To be honest, I lost it. On top of that the floor was empty, it really wasn't busy at all. I took my family and left, put them in the car and then decided to come back to simply ask this gentleman's name. When I did he tried to defuse the situation by saying he now was willing to show me the cars. Offer I didn't care to accept. When I asked his name he simply said Abraham and when I asked his last name he asked me if I was a cop. At that point I turned and left. This was my first visit to a dealer after Harvey and I hope this is not the type of treatment I will encounter on what clearly appears to be a sellers market in Houston because of the flooding. In hindsight my error may have been to tell him I wasn't ready for a deal right there and then. However I'm glad the true colors came out at this point of the process rather than after more time was wasted. I admit that lately with everything going on and having to deal with FEMA, Insurance companies, etc my fuse may be a bit short. However after I do all the leg work and come to show my family the possibilities of our new family car I do expect better treatment. Maybe those that say I should go to Dallas and buy my car there are right. I would stay away from this guy, he showed he only cares to make a buck.Mr.

by lauchlanair on 05/27/2017The whole process went very well during the purchase. Everyone was very friendly and polite. As far as the service department goes time will tell. The only problem I had was after the purchase was made I needed to bring the truck back to… the dealership to install some additional equipment I had purchased. It seems that different departments sell different things and none of them communicate with each other. Translation, I will have to drive back to the dealership again and leave my truck for another day while the other department can do what they need to because no one talks to each other. I would still recommend this Mac Haik Ford highly as I said. I was able to purchase the truck at a price I was good with and let's face it that's the important part.Great service , helpful salesman

Fast easy truck purchase
by Brit123 on 07/24/2016I had the best truck buying experience with Mac Haik Ford in Houston. Our sales guy worked with us over the phone because we lived 2 hours away. He helped us negotiate price and trade in value. When we got there a week later everything was… worked out and all we had to do was sign the papers. I think it was a fair deal for both parties. He was very easy to work with, answered all of my questions, and was extremely knowledgeable & professional. There… were even a few after-market things I wanted to do with my truck and Ravi followed up immediately to make an appointment, called to keep me informed while the work was being done, and was involved with the modifications the entire time. After test driving the car came the negotiations phase where the sales manager - Lee MerLoo was outright rude and arrogant. The way he treated us during the negotiation was… unacceptable. Salesman's job is to listen to his customers and give them a welcoming feeling even if they dont meet on the price. If the sales guy doesn't have this basic trait, he should better be doing something else or get some training. I wouldn't be coming to this dealership or any MacHaik showroom for that matter.True professionals make great people.

I was there maybe an hour and he was able to find a lender and a beautiful affordable for me. I went back today to complete the paperwork with Barry… Graves. It was one of the easiest auto purchases I've ever experienced. Friendly and hassle-free service. They were great and I would gladly refer my friends and family. by jneum77 on 04/05/2016Alladin was great, very receptive, and responsive to my question and request. Finance, I always feel as thought I should shower after leaving their office. The process the is employed to get a customer to by the extended warranties is miss… leading. Bundling the total cost into a monthly payment to make it look as though the price is cheaper is miss leading and deceptive. Tell the customer what the total cost is and accept what the customers decision is about the purchase. I may have purchased more but I was not will to spend anymore time in his office.
