by andrewb on 04/08/2019I traded a full sized truck for a new Outback - this was my first Subaru ever it was a very big change for me but I needed something smaller and AWD as well. My salesperson Ben, took a large amount of time showing me three different cars… (crosstrek-great but to small for me, Forester- to hard to get ahold of and a new design this year so price is premium and has engine stop start which I HATE) before getting to the Outback. Ben was patient and took a great deal of care to explain, test drive and demo each car with no pressure or any of that to help me get to the car that fit my needs best. The sales manager and salesperson also took the time to explain leasing vs purchasing and the costs that go along with both; I chose to purchase this time. After selecting a car, the actual purchasing experience was a little better than most dealers -we did have the usual haggling over trade value, price and other details but we did get to a place that made me happy; it just took some time. The dealer is fair but like anywhere, it is best to know what you want and the real value of your trade. I financed through my credit union so I cannot speak about the finance department but the sales side was great - better than most dealers. One thing I will say is the after purchase follow up is outstanding; I have been contacted no less than 4 times by various people to make sure I had no questions or issues; and they employ a person full time to address any issues after the sale and explain the features of the car so if you have any issues with how things work as you get acquainted with your new car, you have someone to ask, I am very impressed with that! When it comes time to replace this car, if I decide on another Subaru I will return to Huffines. I do not have any experience with service department yet but this dealer does seem to care about its customers so I am hoping for the best there as well.Amazing

by MarkSki on 12/13/2016I placed a hold on a Forester on the 11/11 and filled out Credit App to hold car. The car was to arrive later in the month and I would purchase between 12/8 and 12/13. On the 13th I was told the car wass ready. Went down to purchase and… after looking at the VIN the car was not the car we agreed to. Did not even have the same options. We where pushed to purchase the car and they would add the option later. Now that might have been okay but to attempt to sell a different vehicle trying to pass it off as what we agreeded is just wrong. Sales manager came in and said some to the affect that "this is just business". Made no attempt to reslove the issue attitude was totally "take of leave it". Well we left it. Hard to believe that in this day and age (repetuable??) car dealers would treat customers this way. In the four week period I made contact several times with the dealership. I took 3 trips from Fort Worth to Denton only to be slapped in the face and insulted thinking they could sell me a lesser vehicle for the price of a more expensive model. The worst part is the lying and attempting to commit fraud, instead of being forthright and hones. Makes one wonder about the follow up service. All I can say is keep your records including your VIN number to be able to validate your purchase. I have retained all the emails and text messages so they had no wiggle room. I am back at square one.Best buying experience EVER!

I can not say enough positive things about my experience with Huffines and Mike in… particular. I had the best experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. Mike was responsive, professional, low-pressure and completely honest and candid in all our dealings. The deal we agreed via telephone conversations and email exchanges was EXACTLY what was presented to me upon my arrival at the dealership. Thank you so much for making this process so pleasant and painless. I unreservedly recommend Huffines Subaru Denton, and Mike Bresnahan in particular.Beware of Huffines!
by mrandell1 on 01/13/2010We traveled to Huffines dealership in Lewisville from Austin, Tx (7 hour round trip) to purchase a Subaru we had discussed and received signed documents related to price and APR of the loan. Once we got there, James Sailors (our sales guy)… told us the APR was actually 3% higher than stated. Of course we walked and made the 3.5 hour journey back to Austin. We could have sued but for what? a couple thousand on a car we've yet to purchase? You have to trust someone your beginning a financial relationship with and the whole time I felt a little icky. If you buy here, the trick will come up sooner or later. APR. Purchase Price. Length of loan. It's a [violative content deleted] over there.Never again
by yoda11 on 10/11/2013updated 06/12/2025You should consider buying or having your car serviced at another establishment. I was sold a car from Huffines Subaru with an obvious defect. I was told it could be fixed no problem. While waiting for the part to come in I noticed the car… running funny and requested that it be looked at while the dash is replaced. When I got my new car back it was wanting to stall and the check engine light was now coming on. They were closed so I left a message. I never got a call back. I then noticed that when they washed the car that whatever they used to clean the car had put small scratches all over the car from front to back thus ruining the paint job. Our 1st "New" family car was defective and now damaged. When I finally spoke to someone after having to call up to the dealership again, they were not able to resolve my issue. I asked that the GM please call me and am still waiting 2 days later. This was our first family vehicle purchase and it has been a nightmare. If you purchase here you will be an afterthought after you have driven off the lot. I highly recommend that you take your hard earned money to another business that will appreciate it and you! Huffines was unwilling to make things right for us.Great New Outback

There was no pressure from sales, they were honest with us, took… time to really help us find what we wanted, and then gave us time to think about it without feeling rushed to make a decision. I dealt extensively with Dale R. for the information and pricing on the car and he gave me all of the information upfront, it never changed and the car he said he had in stock, he… had it with the stated options. I also dealt with Edwin H. who is the Sales Manager and again just like Dale straightforward, no gimmicks, no tricks it was a truly great buying experience. The other thing worth noting is how fast they are to get everything processed. I went and test drove the car which with the conversations that I initiated afterwards took about 1 hour, then I left came back and it took them only 1 hour to sell me the car, do the financing and get me in the car and out of the door. Would recommend these guys and would buy again.Best Service Ever

When I walked… into Huffines I was going in buying a car for the first time and within minutes I knew what car what I wanted and we had things started. Brett, my sales guy, was very time efficent, friendly, and funny. (If you ever go to buy a car ask for him and make sure he does the gangham style for you) I plan on refering everyone I know to Huffines Kia not only do I love everything about my car, I love everything about the dealership and what they have to offer. Go! Trust me they will blow your mind!Very friendly dealership. No pressure.
by etienne66 on 10/15/2013updated 06/12/2025I had been looking at the Subaru Impreza ever since I found it on Consumer Reports and saw that it was much higher rated than the Chevrolet Equinox that I was looking at, it also had better fuel economy and had 4-wheel drive. My 2000 Camaro… broke down again a few days ago. It is 13 years old and I admit that I did not do all of the maintenance that I should have, so I can't really blame Chevy for that part. But considering the repairs would cost more than the car was worth, it was time to break down and get that Impreza I was looking at. I found the car I wanted on Edmunds.com. Unfortunately it wasn't available within the time-frame that I needed it. I was able to use Edmunds Android Application to find what cars were in stock at Huffines and the salesman, Mike B., was able to answer my questions and point me to a car that would be suitable for my needs. He gave me a very good offer from the start that was well below the MSRP and in the range I was expecting. I did spend quite a bit of time at the dealership on Saturday, so I was glad I brought a book. But that's to be expected when that's probably the busiest day of the week for sales. Mike was very knowledgeable about Subaru and he was able to answer all of my questions.
