  • Sale Pending, but so far very satisfied

    5 out of 5 starsby Todd_Gifford on 08/04/2017

Used USAA car buying service to find dealers who had the Ford Expedition Limited EL in my color choice to tow my new Airstream. Heard back from three dealers. Landmark had what I wanted in XLT, Limited and Platinum. Internet guy was busy with another customer so Tom Rayner helped out with my onsite vehicle comparison and test drive. Tom was very knowledgeable, helpful and made the first impression a very good one. I'm going to return tomorrow evening with my wife to hopefully wrap up the deal. I'm writing the review in advance because I expect to be very satisfied and I doubt I would come back to this site later to write it. Tom deserves a shout out.

  • Excellent car purchasing experience!

    5 out of 5 starsby jeannav01 on 06/01/2017

Overall, an excellent experience! Our sales person Bill Huff was incredibly easy to work with and found exactly the vehicle I was looking for. This was our third vehicle purchase from Landmark in the last 15 years and I have recommended Landmark to anybody I know who's interested in purchasing a vehicle. We purchased another Ford at a different dealership and the experience almost made me want to not purchase from Ford again but this time around Landmark has definitely won me for life. Bill was extremely knowledgeable, I asked questions and he answered me and then some. I felt very well treated and respected. We will likely be in the market for another Ford (my husband needs to replace his Focus) and Landmark will definitely get our business again.

  • Kari Locke is one great Internet Sales manager @ Landmark Ford

    5 out of 5 starsby michaelr8 on 07/06/2016

I just got my 2016 F 150 Lariat at Landmark Ford in Tigard, Oregon. Kari Locke is the Internet sales manager there and she is great. She knows her vehicles and offers great advice on the different options and financing choices, not to mention rebates too. I got a great price and a great truck thanks to Kari and Ford of course. I recommend both and Landmark Ford for your next vehicle purchase.

  • Great car-buying experience

Jeff is awesome! Great car-buying experience, and he's a total car guy. We shared stories, and he made car buying FUN! If you want to buy a car, there's no one else I would buy from. Please come meet Jeff Sleight. You won't be disappointed.

  • Wonderful buying experience

5 out of 5 starsby PortlandCarey on 09/19/2015

James, our salesperson, was very knowledgeable and personable - not pushy at all. The negotiation process was great - only three back and forths, and we got the low price we wanted. Everybody at the dealership we dealt with were friendly and happy to have us as customers. James and Carrie, on separate occasions, assisted us in operating the navigation system and other electronics on the car. The dealership had an adequate supply of hybrids and Energi Fusions. All in all, we would highly recommend this dealership and both James and Carrie. And the dealership is conveniently located off of I-5, just south of Portland, OR.

  • Great customer service!

5 out of 5 starsby knepperb on 10/03/2014

After an awful weekend of shopping local dealerships, I tried my luck on Edmunds. I was inundated with emails and phone calls from area dealers showing me close to what I wanted, but not exactly. That is, until Charlie emailed me. He sent me what I'd requested, but after a couple of emails back and forth, he realized that I was settling and gave me a call. Without me even having to ask, he was searching the regional database for the model with the exact features I wanted in my first color choice. I drove to Landmark that afternoon to check out a similar vehicle in the wrong color, just to make sure it was THE car I wanted. I decided yes, so we went inside to talk numbers. There was no handoff game, no sharky sales tactics whatsoever. Charlie found extra rebates for me, and with my Edmunds price being right at invoice, there was no haggling needed. He didn't even shove Ford financing down my throat since I'd already qualified through my bank. I had my out-the-door price, in my terms, with my interest rate. We shook on it, and he began the dealer trade process. The car was available next day. Charlie walked me through all the new technology to make sure I had a clear understanding how to use it, and scheduled me for a follow-up session after two weeks. The paper signing process was pretty quick, and although the finance guy was on the upsell train, he didn't push very hard. This was an easy and stress free car buying experience. I definitely recommend Charlie and Landmark Ford!

Tom and Charlie at Landmark Ford were great to work with. I worked primarily with Tom and he made the entire car buying process very easy.
  • Great Buying Experience Again

5 out of 5 starsby dmcgirr on 06/01/2008

This is the 2nd used vehicle I've bought from them and would recomend them to anyone . Its nice to go to a dealership and not have someone chasing you down and hounding you to buy a car. I had a friend go in and was very happy with they dealership.. Both vehicles that I bought were program cars and my next car will probably be one also. Thanks John Francis and Tom Sauvain
  • Fantastic Experience! What a relief!!

As a woman in my 30's, I always dread going to a car lot in search of a new car. My expereience with Landmark Ford was a nice change from my usual experiences. From the moment I stepped onto the lot, until I drove off in my new Focus, was was treated with respect and never felt like I was being talked into anything I didn't want. The sales staff, as well as the managment were very helpful during my car buying experience. I am sure this car will last me a long time, but when it is time to get a new car, I will definately be returning to Landmark Ford. Thanks you guys!! Katie
  • I love Landmark Ford!

My wife and I recently bought our fifth car from Landmark Ford. From our first Ford Escort to our most recent purchase -- our Fusion, we have had consistently great service from start to finish. My wife and I recently moved to Seattle and we have shopped other dealers in the area. We have not found a single dealer that even comes close to the service and attention we get at Landmark Ford. Regardless of living in Seattle, we still take our business down to Tigard because we know we will be taken care of-- whether buying a new or used cars (we have experience with both) or getting major service done on our cars. We tried getting a tune up at a dealership here and were very unsatisfied and wondered if they actually did half of the things they were supposed to. We never had that experience at Landmark. One thing that sets Landmark apart from the others is that they really do care about customer satisfaction. I know many dealers say that, but, again, I have been to many dealers and that is really not the case. Landmark is different. It feels like a family-run business and I see the same faces in the sales and service department as I did when we bought our first Escort. That is how I know it is a good business as they take care of their employees who take care of their customers. My wife and I very much appreciate how we have never felt pressured into a sale and the salespeople were also very patient and accomodating for us. We ALWAYS drove away feeling like we got a good value and we have no hesitations in referring our family and friends to Landmark.
  • Felt like I was held hostage

Went to price cars. They really didn't have a car that fit my needs. They took me to the lot with a golf cart. We looked for a car that I will looking for. None was found. I hopped back on the cart thinking that they were going back to my car, but we went to the other side of the building to another lot that didn't have any cars that I would be interested in. He kept asking me what is the most I could spend. I saw a car in the first lot that was close to what I wanted, but loaded with a bunch of options that I didn't need and was too exspensive. He said that he would talk to the sales manager to see if he would sell it at the reduced price. We went to the show room. I waited to a while and then he return. He said that the manager said I had to test drive the car first. I said that I was waiting for a price quote and that I have already driven one of those cars. He repeated his demand that I had to drive the car. I told him that I was not interested in driving the car and that I wasn't interested in buying a car from him. He ignored me and said he would check with his manager about the price. I left for my car. He chased me down and yelled at me that I should not cop such an attitude. He also told me that I had wasted his time. I told him to move away from my door so I could shut the door, and he didn't move until he finished yelling at me. I had been to 6 dealerships over the weekend and some of the places played games, but I have never been treated so bad. They act like you owe them something for coming in to see their cars. I will never set foot in that place again.
    • If this occured as written it is a very poorly handled by what appears to be an unprofessional salesperson. Unfortunately the situation was not brought to the attention of management as they have no knowledge of it and would have taken immediate action. Some customers are much harder to work with than others, especially if they are scared and have an attitude. As this customer had been to six other dealerships he could have acquired an attitude that an inexperienced salesperson could not deal with. It sounds like the salesperson tried but failed when he may not have properly explained the situation to the sales manager and then had a verbal arguement with this customer. This is certainly not how we train salespersons to handle customers. Salespersons are humans and if they are mistreated they can react. Obviously it is best for all to just walk away from that situation rather than react. There are two sides to every story, unfortunately we do not know who was involved and their side of the story. If it happened as written we truely appologize as that is not how we do business. We would encourage this customer to contact a manager immediately if he felt he was mistreated by any business employee. If this customer reads this and can give us more information as to who was involved and when we would appreciate it and deal with the issue if that salesperson is still employed by us.

  • Beware Beware of Landmark Ford

    1.6 out of 5 starsby pinkbear47 on 09/04/2007

1-25-07 I purchased a 2006 Eddie B. Explorer with 15,000mi exterior looked like mint condition. I was assured the car was a Landmark employee car and came strait from the Ford factory in USA to landmark. 7-3-07 my son washed the Explorer with scouring pad yellow/green ones. I paid landmark 3500.00 to fix the damage my son caused, but instead they uncovered damage that was hidden before I bought the car. I was told by the body shop manager after many heated discussions of the quality of there work after 3 weeks the car will never look like it did when you bought it. So I was conned into trading it in because the damage couldn't be fixed. I paid 29.00 to Carfax the Eddie B. Explorer after the trade-in and found out it came from Canada to Wa. auctioned in Indiana sold back in Wa. and brought into Oregon. Seems fishy to me. Canada is where all the uncovered damage came from. I was out an out lied to about where the car came from and who drove it. I got riped off on the trade-in because I have stage 4 breast cancer and in chronic pain and made to wait from 7:30pm to 11:00pm a few days later the car was on the used car lot for over 9,000 dollars more and looking like mint condition again the owner proudly said they have the best detailers in the business and cost 400.00 per car. I assume that's why all there used cares look brand new. BEWARE whats lurking underneath? My husband was told do not have your wife call here, shes not credible. Because I take pain medication for my bone cancer. My other review is on what happened next on the 2007 ford 500sel landmark sold me on 7-25-07 I test drove a 2007 500 limited and was told that was what I was buying. I
    • Just read Pink Bear’s comments regarding Landmark Ford and was shocked. My husband and I have purchased several vehicles from them over the years and have always had an entirely different experience. There may be some car dealers that deserve scorn, but Landmark Ford certainly isn’t one of them. At Landmark we’ve always been treated with respect, honesty and fairness. Several of our friends have also purchased vehicles from them (on our recommendation) and in each case they were very pleased with the experience. In fact my 94 year old grandfather recently purchased a used Taurus from Landmark and commented: “they were straight with me”. We’ve always considered him to be a good, and obviously experienced, judge of character. Website reviews, blogs, etc. are important, but I wish people wouldn’t try to tarnish the names of reputable businesses just because they don’t get their way. Re-reading Pink Bear’s entries, it’s difficult to follow all of her complaints, but it seems to have started when her son used a Brillo pad to wash her SUV. Perhaps her anger is misdirected? • Landmark Ford has been in business for over 28 years because of great customer satisfaction. Currently we are the largest Ford dealer in the Northwest and one of the most respected. This customer is a first and presents a complex and bizarre situation. We can't swear as to what the salesperson told them when they bought the used Explorer but we do not have employee cars or demos on our used car lot so it is hard to believe that is simply what he said. We purchased the vehicle at a Ford Motor company auction, it had been originally used in Canada and brought to the Seattle auction by Ford, not Indiana. Customer claims there was a title wash, not true, Ford uses a title facility in Indiana to create US titles for units brought into the US from Canada. The path clearly shows on CARFAX. The customer's son damaged (or vandalized we are not sure) 2 of their vehicles and their insurance company paid us $3,347.67 to repair and the customer had to pay $120 deductable. There was a problem with a sublet glass company that the insurance company required us to use. The customer was not happy so we fianlly got the insurance company to let us use a different sublet gleas company. After the repair was complete the customer dedmanded that we fix more that was not covered by the insurance company. There were rock chips in the hood that had been touched up at some point during the vehicles life and the insurance company would not pay to fix those. The body shop manager told her a true statement that it would never look like it did when you bought it and she did not like that. We could make it look good, but not perfect to her OEM standards. The customer demanded that we pay her $3500 she said she paid. She actually paid $120 and we offered to give her that as a good will credit as we can not wave insurance deductables. The customer claims she was taken advantage of because of her illness. Her husband was involved in this at every stage. Most of her statements are distorted or untrue. She admitted to taking strong pain medication which seems to interfere with the facts as we recall. At one point the husband told me they were really satisfied, I believe it was the next day she wrote this poor review and another to follow which I am also replying to. We made several efforts to satisfy this customer, but in the end I got the impression she wanted to try to blackmail us into ????

The sales team there understood the incentives Ford offered and helped me take advantage of them. They then went through the usual service packages pitch, but didn't push them too hard. Finally, they helped set up all of the electronics (bluetooth, etc.) on the new car. Also some points to Edmunds for the price, it was better than the Costco price.

Just brought home our new 2013 Ford Flex Limited that we bought online at Landmark Ford. Charlie W., our internet point of sale contact made it the best new car purchase experience we have ever had, (and we have bought 8 new vehicles in the last 30 years, 2 previous cars online). Charlie was extremely conscious of our wants and needs, stuck to his word and spent a lot of time at the point of sale helping us learn how to use all the bells and whistles on our new vehicle (and there are a bunch!). No stress, no surprises, no problems....that's how I like my new car purchases to go. Thanks Charlie and thank you Landmark Ford!

Landmark Ford went out of their way to provide exceptional service. They addressed every one of my needs in a friendly manner, and I never got the impression that I was being difficult with them. I had shopped around with several dealerships before I made my purchase, and what sold me on Landmark Ford was how they treated me as a valued customer. Highly recommended, especially working with Tom R. Great guy and easy to work with. A+

We chose Landmark Ford to test drive a Fiesta and a Focus for the wife. We ended up doing a purchase for a 2012 F-150 Platinum Edition. CJ McNulty was totally awesome as a sales person and in the future when the wife is ready to trade we will be seeing him again. We both felt as though there was no pressure to buy and he was there for us. Diane Pohl was the internet contact person and she was very responsive to the inquiries we made. She contacted us the nest business day and presented us with some options. Tom Rayner was the other person we dealt with and we were also satisfied with his level of commitment getting us the truck we wanted. The finance person Dan Sorden worked very hard to get us the best rate and we were pleased with his level of expertise as well. Overall this was a positive experience and we will use Landmark Ford again in the future.
    • Congratulations on your new F-150! We look forward to having you and your wife as lifetime customers. CJ, Diane,Tom and the staff at Landmark Ford do their very best to keep you coming back time and time again. We invite you to join us on Facebook and Twitter to take advantage of specials and promotions we offer. Sincerely, Jim Corliss - Owner Office: 503.639.1131

Some say it isn't possible to buy a new car using only the internet and email. But Charlie W. at Landmark made it happen for me - from quote to delivery. No hype, no hassle, no sales pitches - just great service and excellent follow-up in ordering exactly the car I wanted from Ford. Thank you, Charlie and Landmark for a great buying experience!

They are one of the best dealerships I have ever dealt with. The staff are excellent and committed to providing superior customer service. Thanks to all that helped me get into my new mustang.

Arrived at the dealership. Vehicles were all priced with substantial dealer markup over msrp. Immediate turn off. Salesman was real white shoes, white belt type. I voiced my displeasure at the added markups in a poor economy and was told "would you like to share your thoughts with our manager"? I said this is enough to make my decision to never again visit this dealership. I've owned over 45 new vehicles, and will not tolerate being treated like a fool.
