Poor Dealership, Sales and Service
by terradon on 04/02/2008We bought a Hyundai Elantra from Beaverton Hyundai. At the end of the buying, they changed the interest rate to a higher rate without telling us that they did it from the agreement that we made, which we found out at the signing of the… contract. Our agreement was that we would get Alloy Rims with the car instead of the plastic ones. This also wasn't listed in the contract when we went to sign it and we had to have them add this. We went to our appointment to have our tires put on, there were no tires for us and they informed us that they didn't know when they were going to get tires and what did we want them to do about it. Secondly, the tags were to be covered by them and they told me that they were at the front desk waiting. There were no tags or plates waiting as the lady had told me the day before. I would not buy with them. They don't follow through on their obligations once the money has crossed hands.good service and followup
by loisnjones on 02/02/2013updated 06/03/2025Great service and followup, asked all the right questions to keep me on track for which vehicles fit my needs.Bait and switch
by DOSADI on 02/20/2013updated 06/03/2025I went to a dealership and they gave me the Costco price on a Hyundai velosterturbo, but they did not have a fully loaded one. I called the Beaverton Hyundai dealership and the sales person said that they had a fully loaded veloster turbo… and they would call me with a price quote. The next day I was given a quote. I went to the dealership because they gave me a great price on a fully loaded veloster turbo. When I got there they took my keys and license and took me to see the car. When we got to it it was not a fully loaded veloster turbo when I pointed this out. The sales person said that the manager had given. Her the quote on the wrong car. I told her that the Costco price was lower. We went back inside and she said that I wanted 11500 for my car, but that 10500 had been offered but she would get me the 11500. At this point I asked for my keys back. Suddenly I had 2 managers asking me what the problem was. I explained the situation. They told me they would get me a sun roof at cost. So I bought the car. I will not go into all the other things that went wrong including not getting either the Costco price or the veterns discount (because I could not find my dd 214 even though I had veterns plates a veterns medical card etc.) this was by far one of the worst car buying experiences I have ever had. I was given by Costco a 50.00gift card to be used at the dealership. I will not use it.Beaverton Hyundai strives for 100% customer satisfaction. We are sorry for the misunderstanding on your price quote, the vehicle quoted was the same model that the other dealer had provided to you. The military rebate requires certain paperwork, unfortunately that is controlled by Hyundai Motor America, not the dealership, so we were unable to redeem that for you. Sometimes the best deal is no deal for the customer and the dealer, sounds like yours falls into that category. It was not our intention to cause any confusion or frustration, we have already addressed our staff on how to avoid this type of thing from happening in the future based on the results of your Hyundai Motor America survey that was recently submitted. The Costco pricing was honored, however, it is important you are made aware of that. Thank you. -Ryan Rummerfield, General Manager

by rickpettry on 02/24/2014updated 06/03/2025years ago I took my wife to Beaverton Hyundai to look at a pre-owend Elantra. There car were a little over priced I made an offer on one of there cars and the salesman told me that if I could buy it for that price then I should go to… another dealer. They had plenty of customers. We drove across town and Not only did we get the same car for A $1000.00 less it had less milage on it last year we wanted to buy a used truck for hauling and camping, we found a truck that fit our needs at another dealership, I made an offer on it and it was accepted. but later we the dealership found out this truck had a lot of issues. I still wanted the truck and was willing to make repairs on it myself. the Dealership told me they could not sale the truck to me it had to many problems. So they sold the truck to the auto auction. I traced the truck to Beaverton Hyundai. we drove over to the lot where we met the salesman John W. true story. any way's we talk about the issues with the truck he told me they only fixed the raidiator, I made a fare offer but Mr. W. told me he could get top dollars for this truck anyway. He then told me that this truck wasn't suited for me and he would find the perfect truck for me. I am a idiot. of course he never called so I called him and made another offer on the truck but he wasn't interested. I asked him what he thought was fare he told me he would call me back but never did. they apparently found some one to pay top dollars for this truck. OK the other dealer ship sold this truck because they couldn't stand behind it. Mr. W. also told us that they bauy a lot of there used car's and trucks from the auto action. Most dealers sell the cars and trucks they don't want to the auto auction and those cars go to the dealers you see in the papers with really great deals. The Dealers you really don't want to buy form.. anyway that my review....Not a fan
by catcar4 on 01/05/2013updated 06/03/2025I researched online which cars I was interested in and went to Beaverton to test drive the Hyundai. They were pleasant to talk with, but it was all about how much I was willing to pay. I was not at that point yet. After mulling over the… model and the options, the next day I submitted a request for an online quote. They never responded via e-mail, but I must have received at least 5 or more calls (in 24 hours) from different sales people and I never got an actual quote. Needless to say, we did not buy from them.Excellent Service
by julenavs on 03/12/2013updated 06/03/2025I am satisfied with my recent purchased of car at Hyundai Beaverton, sales representative and the manager are very accomodating and friendly.Excellent service.Made good on their promise
by Terri_Lloyd on 12/17/2012updated 06/03/2025I went to 3 Hyndai dealership prior to this one. None would get me the vechile I wanted. Long story short, these folks found the car I wanted. I went there to make the deal just to find out that the car I wanted had been sold. They were… honestly embarrassed and the next day found the unit I wanted, made arrangments to have it shipped in and still for the price quoted. Not such a stellar beginning, but a great ending. They even brought the paperwork to us rather than having to drive 1 hour back. Nice staff, no pressure. I will shop here again.Terrible Hyundai Dealership
by bahrdani on 12/05/2011updated 06/03/2025This has to be one of the worst Hyundai dealerships I've ever been to. The service people seem more intent on selling overpriced parts rather than service. My wife and I bought a Santa Fe from this dealer and found the dealer to be pretty… shady. They attempted to change the price of the car at the last minute, so be very careful when dealing with them. As for the service, after having the car for only 4000 miles, one of the tires went flat. We took the car back to the service center but they spent a day looking for a leak and not able to find it. They refilled the tire and put it back on the car, but by the next morning, it was going flat again. My wife took the car back in and they "found" a shard of stone in the sidewall and proceeded to tell her that they would not cover this kind of damage and she would need to buy a new tire. Now, I would never buy a tire from a dealership, but since I was sleeping (working night shift) they hard sold the tire to my wife, at more than a 20% markup from other stores in the area. Upon confronting them about this, the most they would even consider doing was giving me a couple free oil changes. The service manager showed no interest for my business and in fact, at the end of the conversation thanked me for my money. Obviously, this is all they care about at Hyundai Beaverton. You will not find any service at this place of business, avoid it at all costs.Great Service!! I bought my first Hyundai
by mikey80h on 03/06/2013updated 06/03/2025I thought that the customer service was awesome here! They made me feel like I was the only customer in the room. I think 5 employees said hello to me with a smile to make me feel welcome. I didn't think once that they were just going for… my wallet. I've been to many dealerships and this was probably the first time where I thought they were truly trying to help me make the best buying decision. I thought they were honest and very proffesional.Second Purchase Here
by MagnaV65 on 05/07/2013updated 06/03/2025Traded-in a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring SE for a 2013 Hyundai Tucson Limited AWD. Had originally preferred the Tucson in 2010, but did not want to spend the additional money over the Elantra. Certainly wish I had - the Tucson satisfies my… needs for the indefinite future!elantra
by bj63 on 03/12/2013updated 06/03/2025Pleasant experience. People helpful and friendly.
Interesting, I had the same thing happen to me. They changed the terms of the loan without informing me. Personally, I think they are committing fraud and possibly other crimes. Someone needs to look into this as they are probably doing it to other customers as well.
