Great Car buying Experience!

He even got us soda and pizza while we waited : ) The sales Manager and finance guys were friendly and took… great care of us. The dealership's Bank was able to match my Credit Union's low interest rate and they were able to get my deal done on a Saturday afternoon. Greatest people ever!

The Purchase of a new (to us) vehical

We went got there later after my husband got off work with our 3 kids he made sure the kids where… comfortable after are long ride there. He was friendly and honest. Joe Miller and the service team is amazing!
by TheBlands on 09/04/2019My husbands truck had recently been into Bob Caldwell for service. Shortly after, the truck presented another issue. We took it back into them to have it checked and realized it was something completely different. The total cost for the… service was going to cost approximately $4,300, which we didn't have. Joe Miller asked if we had bought an extended warranty when we purchased the truck. We went home and found that we had. We took the information back for Joe to review and he felt the items that needed fixed were covered by our warranty. He came out to the lobby area, sat down with us and explained everything that was going on. Discussed our options, etc and what we were facing if the warranty company wouldn't approve the claim. Joe worked directly with the warranty company on our behalf to submit the claim, answer all their questions, took pictures of the damaged parts (at the request of the warranty company) and sent them all the necessary information. We didn't have to do a thing. The warranty company tried to say that part of the labor that was required wasn't going to be covered. Joe called the warranty company back a couple of times, asked to be put in contact with a supervisor, and argued the fact that it should be covered, and got it covered. They also realized another part needed replaced that wasn't covered under warranty, and since the trucks engine was already pulled apart to fix the items under warranty, they went ahead and fixed the additional item, which saved us the cost of the additional labor. Therefore, saving us several hundred dollars. Joe also made sure to stay in constant contact with me and gave me updates as to the status. This was an almost 2 week process and I was informed of every move along the way. We can't say enough about Joe and his crew there at Bob Caldwell. Without his thoroughness, willingness to "fight" for us, and his attention to detail, we would've been out money that we didn't have to begin with. For all of my future service needs, I will definitely return to Bob Caldwell and work with Joe directly. He's the man! Thank you Joe and to all the crew in the service department. by RandyG on 08/01/2019Five years age our son got a great deal from Bob Caldwell on a Ram 1500. When our former lease was up we decided to give them a shot. We were treated very well and were happy with a lease on a Ram 1500 as well. In June, we had two vehicles… that were leases and needed to be turned in. We re-leased a Grand Cherokee and a Wrangler through Bob Caldwell. We negotiated the terms and felt that we had been treated fairly again. One month later we were being contacted by Chrysler Capital in reference to an outstanding balnce on both the vehicles that were turned in. We were told that everything would be taken care of when we turned them over to the Dealer (Bob Caldwell). There was one month remaining on the previous leases. The past due balance with Chrysler Cap totaled about $1800. This included a $395 Disposition fee that is charged if you don't release a Chrysler product. We did. We leased two Chrysler vehicles. I made several attempts to contact the sales person and the response was "I'll check on that. I'm just in sales, I'm not a numbers guy". Or it was, "Sometimes that takes 30 days to show up. It will be alright". The calls continued from Chrysler Cap. On 7/30/19 I tried again to get an answer from Bob Caldwell. I started with the sales person. He promised he would talk to the finance person. No one called me back. After several more calls I spoke with a finance person. The reply was "I don't see anything on here that said we would make the final payments. Let me talk with my manager". No call back. I called again, sent to voicemail. a couple of hours later I received a call from a finance manager. He said stay by your phone, the sales person would be calling. He called to inform us that Bob Caldwell was not responsible for making the final payments. When I asked about the $395 we were charged for not releasing he said the finance mgr had never heard of anything like that. I was able to get that taken off myself with Chrysler Cap. Bottom line is we paid the outstanding balance to Chrysler and Bob Caldwell lost a life long customer.Lack of service! Poor!
by Jennifer on 07/28/2019I downsized into a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a 2007 Sequoia, made a purchase, had a great experience up until I called the next morning to let the finance manager and the sales person Jason know that this vehicle would not work for… me-too compact and I feel closed in, less than 12 hours later. I was told there was no return policy, I was even willing to be placed into another vehicle that worked for me and was turned away. No calls back or willingness to help me find a better SUV. Carmax has 5 days, Dennis Hyundai has 7, most dealerships will take take of the customer and that is what service is really about, before and after the sale. I went to Bob Caldwell, because I enjoyed the experience I had, I really felt like they would take care of me. I feel I was treated unfairly the payoff wasn't sent yet and I know the paperwork was still sitting there, I was told it was electronically sent but 6 days later, the bank has not set up my new account yet and old bank still not paid off. I really feel they should work with me and make this right. Never heard of this. Poor service and I bet if I was a male this wouldn't have happendExcellent service

by FrankWalker on 07/08/2019Bought a 2107 dodge ram truck on 05/08/2019.Was not any owners manuals in truck.Was told by Michael Willis (salesman) that he would get them for me. Didn't receive them so called him he said he had shipped them to me. Waited a week but did… not receive them so called him again and was told he would send them again. Waited another week and called Xavier Esposito (sales manager) and was told he would check check into it. Received call from Michael Willis and he said he would text me a tracking number but never received it or manuals. Will call Dodge customer service next.
In 1950, Ruth Ann Caldwell encouraged her husband Bob to follow his dreams. Later that year, Bob opened a small car lot in Columbus on High Street with the slogan "Where High Street Bends, Your Car Worries End." After 16 years of success selling quality used vehicles Bob Caldwell was approached by Chrysler to open a franchise on Morse Rd. He did so in November 1967 and Bob Caldwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram was born.
Fast forward to today and we have celebrated our 50th year of operation, still family owned and operated by Bob's three daughters and we have welcomed the 3rd Generation with Justin Harmon as the General Manager. We have grown to over 115 employees and we are thankful for every year that we get to serve the City of Columbus, State of Ohio and all our surrounding neighbors.
