Being less than satisfied with the local area Chevrolet sales tactics, I got online and… connected with Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet in North Carolina (NC) to explore opportunities. I was contacted by Andy Snyder, City Chevrolet Sales Manager and following a 15-minute phone discussion, which never felt like a driven sales call, Andy targeted-in on the exact truck my wife and I wanted to test drive and arranged the truck movement from their South Carolina location to NC. Leading up to my 5 1/2-hour drive, Chesapeake VA to Charlotte NC, to test drive this truck, Gralyn, Sales Representative, extended this wonderful City Chevrolet sales experience by updating me with notifications on this truck's arrival from their South Carolina location. Gralyn provided my wife and I with a truck arrival video, and set up my test drive arrival date and time that included a comprehensive demonstration of all truck features, and the setting-up of the Chevrolet app on my iPhone upon purchase. Takeaways, " Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet Delivered “My Best Vehicle Purchase Experience Ever." I drove 5 1/2 hours from VA to NC to avoid the local Chevrolet Dealership. Andy Snyder’s genuine character, "Earned my TRUST" over a phone call. Moreover, in the days leading up to my first test drive, Gralyn's customer care, knowledge of this truck's features, and patience to explain each feature sealed this purchase with my signature. 2024 Colorado LT
by Gant D on 02/05/2025I bought a 2024 Colorado LT this weekend from City Chevrolet and couldn’t have been more pleased with my car buying experience for my first purchase. I came from a dealership down the road where I told them the one truck on their lot I was… interested in and they told me they could talk in 2-3 hours. I’m not in sales but that seems like cardinal sin #1. The exact opposite happened at City Chevrolet. I parked on the lot, Collin greeted me, helped me narrow down my options, then pulled the truck up front for us to look at and take a drive. I think it goes a long way having someone relatively young on staff to make sure first time purchasers like myself aren’t pushed off by more jaded salesmen. Collin understood my scenario not having pulled credit reports before and got the team together to have a single conversation about price and financing so the process was as simple as possible and I could leave that day with my new truck. I even accidentally left some jumper cables in my trade-in and Collin was able to secure them and get them back to me the next business day. Once again, could not have been happier with my experience with Collin and the rest of the team at City Chevrolet!Gant--Thank you for your comments. Traverse Service (known chevy issue parking indicator)
by BradStar on 09/30/2024Attempted to schedule appt weeks earlier, was told a technician would need to call me back; however days went by with no call back. I called again, was put on schedule, however for the wrong service. On a third time, I was told again, a… technician would call me back - finally this time, a call back occured same day. The issue is to have a faulty sensor repaired (known issue / chevy service bulletin available online), the part replacement is $8; and the DIY replacement videos - which are uncut - span less than 15 minutes total. On my appointment, I was quoted ~$700 for the repair, and told it would take 3+ hours. I declined the service and was charged ~$200 for a 'diagnostic' - however the issue was clearly known. I left feeling taken advantage of and will elect to have vehicle serviced elsewhere going forward.BradStar--Thank you for your comments. First Impressions From the moment I walked into Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet, I was… impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the cleanliness of the showroom. The environment was inviting and well-organized, making it easy to browse their wide selection of vehicles. Customer Service Experience The highlight of my visit was the exceptional customer service. Hamza, my salesperson, was particularly outstanding. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, he didn’t push the sale on me. I appreciated that he allowed me to take my time and even walk away to think about my decision without any pressure. This level of respect for the customer’s needs is rare and commendable. Scott in the sales office was also wonderful. He was genuine and truly wanted what was best for me, which made the entire process feel comfortable and trustworthy. First Time Buyer Experience
by Terrilyn on 05/08/2024This was my first time buying a car, I went in knowing what I could afford and at other dealerships the sales people would show me cars way out of my price range and couldn’t do anything to make me feel like I was being heard and… understood. At Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet they listened to me and understood what I could afford. They showed me a brand new Equinox, went in depth on all the features and asked me what I was hoping for and when I told them they let me know it was something they could do! I didn’t feel like another dollar sign to them, it felt like a dealership that really wanted me to have a safer car that I could afford. Ray Farris was so amazing! He could answer any questions I had, went in depth on all the qualities of the Chevrolets I was looking at and he didn’t make me feel pressured into signing anything. Because of this experience, I will most definitely be returning because you can’t find another dealership that listens to their customers and makes them feel like they’re being heard like City Chevrolet. And if you go ask for Ray! GREAT buying experience

H and I met in the parking lot and immediately shared a laugh. Despite me giving him a hard time about some… purchase and pricing considerations, he remained personable, professional and very transparent throughout the process. Even in the finance process they made me feel right at home and really like I was part of the Hendrick Family. The post purchase follow up has been spot on too. In short - they do what they say they're gonna do when they say they're gonna do it - and that's rare in today's world. I'm looking forward to the rest of the journey with this vehicle and dealership - and highly recommend both H and City Chevrolet if you're in the market for a Chevy at a VERY competitive price.Thank you for your comments. My experience at City Chevrolet… and with Julio was more than I could have asked for. Julio was easy to talk to, listened to what was important to me, and came up with great ideas to get me everything I was looking for in a vehicle. Not once did I feel pressured to make a decision and he was more than willing to work with me and lay out all my options. Julio was also very knowledgeable and showed me features that other sales associates missed. My experience and interactions with everyone at City Chevrolet made my decision to purchase a new car from them easy.
