Bob Johnson is number 1 for a reason

Our family has now purchased 6 vehicles from Bob Johnson. Len Zaccaglino is the only salesman I trust to get me the best and most fair deal on a vehicle. He is always a pleasure to work with. He makes the buying process not only less stressful but also enjoyable. I have purchased probably close to 20 vehicles in my life and I can't imagine every buying another vehicle elsewhere. The entire Bob Johnson Chevy team from the front desk, to the sales people, to the financial team all the way to service are top notch. We recommend them to all of our friends and family.

  • should an oil filter be re installed when removed for oil change service?

    I have been a Bob Johnson Chevy customer since 2011 I took my New 2024 Silvedrado for the second oil change . First one was at 4500 miles, the most recent one was 9200 miles. When the person who welcomed me asked if this was my first oil change I said no, it was my second, he informed me that it was not due for a oil change so early. I thanked him and said, I would like my oil changed as I take good care of my vehicles. He then said, seeing that I had just rotated the tires at the 4500 mile service, tire rotation was not necessary. I asked if rotation was included in the price of the oil service, he said it was, I replied, I would like the tires rotated. As I watched intently, someone filled my washer fluid tank, I saw no other of the advertised vehicle checks done, yet the invoice indicated they checked many items, after a few minutes, I was told to start the engine, a few seconds, 5 or 10, a very loud voice said SHUT IT OFF SHUT IT OFF! I immediately shut the engine off. Someone said, there is no oil filter on it! The person came to the window and said, we are going to do your oil change again as there was a leak. I said, I heard someone say there is no oil filter on my truck, is that correct? He replied, yes, our bottom guy forgot to put the oil filter on, so basically you got a free engine flush. I didnt respond. A second time I was instructed to start my engine, I closely watched for oil pressure to build. Then I noticed my information display showed all four tires had drastically different pressures indicated, I requested 40 psi, not, 32, 38, 42, 40. Now the person presented me with the invoice, I handed him my charge card, your Total is $97.00 his words were im giving you a $5.00 discount , plus you got a engine oil flush that I wont charge you for. I said you cant be serious? AN ENGINE FLUSH, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CHARGE ME FOR? You could have destroyed my new truck engine! I want to see the service manager. He then placed my charge card on the dash in front of me and said, nothing about the invoice, but said, Im also giving you a free car wash so all the oil sprayed under your truck can be washed off with the under body wash. Not only was my oil filter replaced initially, NOW I have to have my truck undercoated again with the after market lanolin undercoating I had applied to prevent rust, because the high pressure under car spray blew it all off! Such a total lack of attention to the life blood of my NEW truck is totally unacceptable and preventable with proper training and safeguards obviously not followed, secondly to imply you gave me something FREE, in the way of an "ENGINE FLUSH" was laughable at best.

    My Sales Guy Brian was great to work with. Met him at the Rochester Auto Show. He answered all my questions at the show made time to go see him at the dealership and had a great experience there as well Brian is an asset.

    I would not recommend Bob Johnson Chevrolet to anyone. They are rude, have poor service, and little concern for their customer's satisfaction. I recently purchased a 2024 Colorado that was delivered missing three items from the sticker. Two of the items were delivered and there has been zero follow through on the third. I call to check and am placed on hold for excessively long times and speak with people who have zero concern for my situation. It has been three months since my purchase and am still driving an incomplete vehicle. This will be my last vehicle purchased from any Bob Johnson dealership and my last vehicle from GM.

    I have purchase three vehicle in the last 4 months at Bob Johnson. Their team is the absolute best, from Bill the sales manager to each sales associate (I've dealt with several), the finance manager and the tech desk. They worked with me and my wife to find the right vehicles at the right price. Their prices seem to be unbeatable in the entire region. We comparison shopped at several dealerships in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse. No one could match Bob Johnson's pricing, which is important for sure, but the entire experience is also important. Everything runs like a well-oiled machine, and everyone is professional and friendly.

    Unconditional attention during the deal process. After the sale, salesman (Brady) never returned phone calls, had to personally show up and appear at the guys desk before he addressed my concerns. The trainee did more for me after the sale then the salesman. Make sure you get everything you want done before taking delivery.

    Too worried about being #1 in Sales, they Forget what it takes to Service their prior customers vehicles properly. Went in for an oil change and rotation, which was told, "I'll have you in and out of here in an hour" You sure it won"t be 1 1/2 hours I questioned ? " No, I'll have you outta here in an hour " An hour and a half later I went to the Quick Lube desk to question what's going on . " What, you're Still here, Let me get your paperwork, and get you out of here... Wait, where's your paperwork, I can't find it, Hang On, let me check." 15 minutes later the Quick Lube writer comes back, " We had a little misunderstanding, we Accidently were given the Okay to put 2 new Headlights in your truck " What, NO ONE Told me about the headlights, I Didn't need any headlights and I Certainly didn't give Anyone the Okay to put them. " Oh I'm Sorry, we had the WRONG Truck, We Got the okay from the wrong person, But We'll Take Care of it " After sitting there for a while long, I went over to the another person that the Quick Lube writer was chatting with, and started talking to him, he was a little frustrated that his truck was taking so long. FUNNY Thing, he was told the same Story. We Laughed it off, and Both Agreed, its Always Something when you come here for Service. I thanked him for okaying the New Headlights for my truck. 3 Hours later, They were Done ! I was Late for work by this, and Explained, " I wouldn't have done this today if it was going to take So Long ! I left Angry and Frustrated ! Days later I received an Email to rate my service with Bob Johnson,I gave it an Unsatisfied. Days later I received another email questioning my service ? Again, Unsatisfied... Guess what, I received a 3rd questioning me how my service rating would be Now That Bob Johnson CONTACTED Me ???? No Contact, No Phone Call, No Email NOTHING !!!! That was my reply. I week or so later, I was contacted by GM's Voice of the customer. I talked with a Very Nice person by the name of Ed, Explained what happened and I was So Mad at the time, That I didn't get any paperwork, and wasn't satisfied on how it was handled. He asked if he could have the dealership management reach out to me ? Reluctantly I told him that I've had issues in the past, I already knew the Management, and would Only get LIP SERVICE ! After a few emails and phone calls to the Dealership from Ed, They Did contact me. We played phone tag for a couple of days, but Did get to chat. I Explained to the person on the phone, what had happened, that I wasn't happy, and I wanted my paperwork. He told me that he Never heard Anything about it, but would look into it. I followed up with Ed, who followed up with the Dealership, to make sure I got the paperwork from them. I did receive the paperwork, BUT No Mention of the Headlight replacement, So Another Call to ED. Ed spoke to the Dealership, who,in turn told him they WOULD send me the paperwork, which then Ed asked, Would That make you Satisfied ? Yes it would, was my response. 10 days have gone by,Still No Paperwork ! I Reached out to Ed today, He contacted the Dealership, Was Told that I was meeting up with them Today . What ? No Call NO Email, No Nothing from them. He contacted the Dealership Again, was told, Oh, I had the wrong person. Sorry, and We Don't have any Paperwork on What happened with the Headlights, So We Can't give you any !! So Check to make sure you have ALL Your Paperwork, and DON'T Believe Everything the Dealership Tells You !!! They'll Say Whatever they can to get a Satisfied Survey so they can get their Perks from GM. Thank you ED From General Motors Voice of the Customer Team, for Trying. Too Bad Bob Johnson gave us Both Lip Service.

    Used the same Sales Gail, Anne Lakis, from this dealership for several purchases, over the last 25 years. She has integrity and knows what she is doing. She will leave no stone unturned obtaining all the perks you can get with full understanding of her calculations. She is an Asset to Bob Johnsons Chevrolet !

    My wife and I are international students and we had been looking for good car deals for a month. We did a lot of research into Japanese cars, Toyota and Honda. We test drove a couple of cars but got cold feet at buying them. Until we found this 5gs off price deal from Bob Johnson Chevy. We headed to the dealership and met a friendly saleswoman, who would let us test drive any car. A couple of days later, on the black Friday sale, they even reduced the price 2gs more and we decided to strike while the iron is hot. Although the saleswoman had took a week off, our business was taken care of by another great salesperson who explained everything in detail. We actually took a friend to the dealership to make sure we understand everything. Surprisingly, he purchased a car even earlier than us. It was such a good deal. We purchased a Chevy malibu 2014 for about the same price as a used toyota camry 2011. My wife and I are both very happy with our car buying experience.

    after purchasing my second car in little less than 2 years the entire process came apart a week after I pick the car up. After spending nearly $3000 to earn 800 dollars in rewards through there loyalty program I lost $100 towards my deal. I came back to the dealership a week later and spoke with management who offered me $100 check to cover my loss as well as $100 worth of points in my account and an extra year of courtesy service.2 months passed and nothing. When the delivery survey came from Chevrolet I blasted the dealership and received another phone call from the person who handles that. I explained my story and the lack of a response and was told it would be taken care of. That was 5 months ago. It seems that the only thing they are interested in is numbers and how many cars they can sell. If it were not for Brian Gilman in service I would not bother with the dealership. And sadly when the courtesy maintenance from GM ends I will go elsewhere.
