    I had a really great experience at Southwest Hyundai when I bought my new Santa Fe. They weren't at all pushy. They were very professional and easy to work with. They weren't just trying to sell me a car, but the allowed me to make the best decision for myself. I very pleased with the service and I would very much recommend Southwest Hyundai.

    I had requested through the internet MANY requests for price quotes from many dealerships (Nissan, KIA, Toyota, etc) and Jim Hinderson was the only person that took the time to follow through on my request. He contacted me by phone (which I indicated was ok) within an hour after my request to obtain more information of what I was looking for. He was very eager to help. His product knowledge was very good and he's obviously believes in his dealership and service department. My wife joking said that we need to have everything done within an hour after we made our choice of vehicle including financing. Well, they missed that time constraint by 22 minutes! I would reccommend Jim's services to anyone.

    My wife and I recently took advantage of the great rebates to buy a new Santa Fe Limited at Southwest Hyundai. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy and equitable our purchase turned out to be, without all of the usual back and forth negotiations and "what would you like to pay?" type questions. Everyone, from the sales manager, to our sales person, to the finance manager, helped to make the transaction go smoothly. We received a fair trade in value for our car, and a great deal on the new vehicle. I know this sounds too good to be true, but it really was one of the easiest car buying experiences we've ever had. As a Realtor I pride myself on providing truly exceptional service to every client I work with, and I can honestly say that Southwest Hyundai lived up to my standard of what service should be.

    We just had our 6th great buying experience at Southwest Hyundai. As always, all of the dealership staff was professional and knowledgable, very helpful, and great to deal with. Our entire purchase was complete in less than 2 hours! And we just can never say enough great things about Southwest's service department's staff--professional, polite, prompt, and pleasant--they are our only providers of routine and schedule service maintenance for our cars for over 9 years. Make sure to put Southwest Hyundai at the top of your shopping list for a great car!

    When compared to some of the nearby dealerships, I have to say that the people at Southwest Hyundai are top notch. After much research, I found the used car that I was looking for via a Web search and made the appointment to test drive the car with one of their internet salesmen, Phil, the following day. When I arrived, Phil was tied up with another customer, but another salesman, Damon, volunteered to take me out in the car since I was on my lunch hour--not in an effort take a customer away from his colleague, but as a courtesy to help out his colleague. You often see this type of courtesy between sales people in small town dealerships, but it came as a refreshing surprise in a city the size of Albuquerque. After test driving the vehicle, they didn't try to do a "bait and switch" like other dealerships might try. They knew that I had already done my homework before making the appointment. They were even willing to let me take the vehicle home overnight so that my husband could see it without making a special trip to the dealership. I believe they are sincere when the folks at Southwest Hyundai say that they want to keep their customers happy and are willing to go the extra mile to do so. I would gladly go to Southwest Hyundai again when I make my next new or used car purchase.

    We needed to buy a car that my wife could easily drive, so I E-mailed Southwest Hyundai on Lomas and told them what I was looking for. Sheryl called me the next day to set up an appointment to come meet with a salesperson, Damon and her to look over some cars. They were Great!! Courteous and Friendly and very helpful especially during the Paper work. I would recommend this dealership and it's fine staff and bright facility to those looking for a vehicle.

  • Easy and I got a car I could afford

    My Review of Southwest Hyundai: I started looking online for a car I could afford. I was worried about my credit, and did not have much money to put down. I started emailing the Internet dept at Southwest Hyundai, Sheryl got me pre-approved before I went in, and all I had to do was make an appointment to go look at the cars I liked. Best part was I didn't have to deal with high pressure sales-the Internet staff people met me and showed me a lot of cars in my price range. It was a lot easier than the last time I bought a car at another dealership. They also showed me how to put the car seat in for my grandbaby!

    I just had to write about my recent experience at SouthWest Hyundai. From the moment I drove on the lot untill I drove off in my new Santa Fe, it was a low key and friendly experience. I've purchased four vehicles prior to this and everytime it was your typical car buying experience. Lies, deciet, high pressure, and broken promises. I got everything that was promised at SouthWest, and the whole process took about an hour. My sales person Kevin. was so laid back and helpful, that I forgot I was at a dealership. He helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Once I drove the vehicle I picked out, the negotiation took about fifteen minutes and ten minutes later I was in the business office signing for my new car. Kevin has called me to see if I was having any problems with my car. That's something that never ever happened before. The service department called and scheduled my ffirst oil change which is free!!! The customer service at this dealership is first rate. I would tell anyone looking for a new car to save time and go to Southwest Hyundai first. I wouldn't go anywhere else to purchase my next vehicle.

  • Unpleasant and rude!!!

    We went to look for a used car today, and explained the dealer we were not going to buy a car that same day. For half an hour we were pushed by three different salesmen, who talked to us one by one. They would take turns pushing us, and made us wait very long when they switched to the next salesman. Although we explained many times we would not buy a car on the same day, they kept pushing us to buy the same day. FInally, one guy came with an "only today" offer. We repeated we would not buy the same day, but only wanted to know a price, so we could think it over at home. At that point the salesman just left the table, without saying goodbye or thankyou. The talk was over and we had to leave... even though we were really interested in buying the car they showed us. Only, we wanted to think it over at home...

  • Don't Waste Your Time!!

    When we first arrived at the dealership we told the salesperson that we were not going to buy today and we were just starting the process of choosing the right vehicle. The salesperson tried very hard to get us into a dirty used car when we wanted a new SUV. He refused to show us anything new. He even got other sales people to talk to us. When we were ready to leave he got his sales manager to talk to us. We told the sales person we were not buying anything today and he left the table without saying goodbye or thank you for coming in. Nothing. I will never go back to that dealership because of how rude and pushy everyone was.

    I have been servicing vehicles and buying parts at Southwest Hyundai in Albuquerque since 1999. They are always very friendly and are very accomodating. Jacob Hensley is especially helpful. He recently received an award from Hyundai for his customer service record. Everyone always comes across as genuinely friendly.

    We recently bought my wife a car from Southwest Hyundai and they gave us what I think was a fair deal. All in all this is a great company to do business with. And the people there are very pleasant to deal with.

  • Service Department

    We own a 2003 Hyundai XG350L, and have been dealing with Vince in Service on a regular basis. If we ever buy another Hyundai (and we had a great experience with our current one), it would be because of the way Vince has been treating us. He is the best asset Southwest Hyundai has. But here is a thought for management: We, the current customers, when considering buying another car from the same Dealership, would much rather buy from the Service guy we've been dealing with, and have come to trust! We don't know the Salesman, that's trying to sell us a car, we don't 'trust' him, out of principle (he needs to make a sale), but we DO trust our Service guy. He's been dealing with us for a long period of time (in our case 4 years)and we BELIEVE what he tells us. So, in the case of a current customer, give the Service guy the commission he deserves - he sells us on YOUR cars everytime we see him. Again, Vince would be THE reason we would ever buy another Hyundai, not Orlando (the salesman we dealt with the other day). Orlando was very nice and accomodating, but we TRUST Vince. So, please take this into consideration! Thanks for your time

    Thank you for helping me! I went to so many dealerships and got the run-around every time. But when I contacted your salesperson Sheryl Hutchison, she went way out of her way to help me. She deserves a raise! Also the salesperson that helped her out (billy?), and the finance department. Everybody was friendly and helpful and did not 'pressure' us at all. We will be buying all our cars from Southwest Hyundai, and I will send as many people to see you as possible!

  • Don't Buy There.

    I feel that I was pushed into buying a car that I have found is way overpriced by the salesman showing me high mileage used cars and told it was them or the one I bought, found out later online the car was way overpriced. I will use word of mouth for them, but not the way they will like.

  • Go see Orlando

    We went to Southwest Hyundai expecting the usual run around. But we met Orlando Leavell a salesperson who takes his time and treats his customers right. Orlando showed us letters from previous customers, and he will be getting one from us also. Southwest Hyundai treated us very fairly, and even though our credit isn't the best, got us into a new Sonata with V6. Everybody there was very friendly and nice. We have been recommending Southwest Hyundai in Albuquerque to all our friends. Especially Orlando.

    We will always buy our cars from Southwest Hyundai. My dad sent me to Southwest Hyundai because he bought his car there. He was right! I am a Hispanic female who went alone and was treated with respect and professionalism. I have sent two other people to Southwest Hyundai and they are both extremely happy with the way they were treated and dealt with.

  • Worst Experience ever ! Will never go there again.

    Dealer did not want to show me the invoice they said it was sticker , we argued about for 1/2 hour we should of walked. Then the Trade they wanted to include it with the price of the car. So then we finally came to invoice got it under $500.00 of invoice. they gave me market price for Trade they didn't till we said we where going to walk. 3 hours later they offered to give us free oil changes for 2 years we said ok. we thought we got what we wanted Then when we where in Finance the nightmare begines loan officer did not pay attention what we wanted he went ahead and did what He wanted . So we had to redo the paper work over then upon reading the contract we found that they where charging us for the oil changes then we fought over that for like 2 hours finally we got through that . We had to return 2 days later to sign paper work that he forgot, what a mess. So we spoke to the General Manager he did not have the time to see us. he said he would call us later when he had a chance. never did ! we had to call 6 times before we heard back from him , then he said he could not do nothing to help us. My Wife and I felt like they looked down on us maybe because we are Latino.

    My family wanted me to get a Hyundai. ( I had a Honda and really enjoyed it). On their recommendation I went to Southwest Hyundai and from the first meeting with my sales person, Chris the experience was awesome. He was professional while being informative and funny. I was on every car website before I went to them so I was very informed on what I wanted and the price I wanted to pay. They met all my needs. I own my Hyundai for five days and love love love it.
