Purchase of 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe

5 out of 5 starsby Nick Landers on 09/10/2024

Jeremy Richards visited with me and showed me the features of the Santa Fe. First was looking for the Hybrid but as they are in short supply looked at the gas model. Test drove a Santa Fe Calligraphy and was impressed with its features . I subsequently decided to purchase the gas model Santa Fe Calligraphy. Went back to the dealership to see what vehicles were avaiable. We look at all the vehicles then Jeremy spotted some in another area of the lot. There the last in the line was the perfect color combination.. Jeremy helped set up our keys and profiles and explained many of the features. He was a big help. Made the process pleasant.

  • No answer after 2 tries with Edmunds

Went to Las Cruces, 200 miles away, because we could not get the local Larry Miller dealerships to respond to 2 Edmunds requests. Got a Great deal on our new Hyundai at Borman. Honest folks there, and they respond promptly to questions.

Our salesman was extremely knowledgable, friendly and courtesy. The GM was quick with working out our deal and the finance officer was efficient with our paperwork and helped get us out quickly. This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Southwest Hyundai and would recommend their dealership to our friends and family.

  • After 600,000 miles and 3 Hyundai's

We have purchased three different vehicles from this Dealership, and would not have come back at all if we were not pleased. We have put over 600,000 miles on these three, and credit our “good luck” to the fact that we have always had them serviced by this Dealership, or if we are on a trip, by another Hyundai dealership. My guess is that 99.6 % of the reason we return are the fellows at the service desk...Jacob and Mike, and the Service Manager, James. If you take the time to build a relationship there, it will pay great dividends, as they will attempt to know both you, your driving habits and your car. They have bent over backwards to keep me on the road....a far cry from what I have experienced in other places. I have been “off warranty” for years, and they still take care of me and my wife, whatever the problem. At one point they kept a car for a number of days, searching for a Ghost Problem...one you know is there, but can not put your finger on. Turned out to be an internal leak in the gas delivery system...one they had never seen happen before. Could have left me stranded, had they not kept looking. One note....if you ever experience difficulties in any area of the your relationship with this Dealership, talk to the GM Tom Hornbeck. Tell him that the gray haired, motorcycle riding, pipe smoking old fellow with two Sonatas said that “Tom would listen, and do his best to work through the problem.” And I bet he does.
  • Izze G e la migliore! (is the best!)

Izze is a really nice guy! Wasn't in a hurry, and didn't want to just say "yes" "yes" to get me to leave him alone. He took the time to explain what was going on and let me know if there were any changes! Will be back in 3 months

The wonderful people at Southwest Hyundai made this car buying experience the easiest I have ever had. I will definitely be going back to them for my next car. Sheryl, Cesar, Joe, Alfonso, & Jacob made this so easy and wonderful. Thanks guys!!

I was told on the phone that the Touring had a certain price, but they rose it much higher when I went in. I then responded to their email, complaining that they did not honor the phone offer. I got a response saying, "If I gave you that internet price, would you buy the car today?" I said yes. We drove across town in rush hour and they again raised the price by several thousand and said they were "mistaken" in making the earlier offer. I don't appreciate these games. It's dishonest and disrespectful.

Do a search on Edmunds on “rip off sticker” and then go see the most egregious example of this ridiculous practice at Southwest Hyundai. Almost two THOUSAND dollars for some vague reference to a location fee, 399 dollars for nitrogen in the tires and the list goes on depending on the car you are examining. The nitrogen fee is plainly insane, if you buy tires at Costco you can get nitrogen in your tires for no additional cost and most other places are two to five dollars a tire for a total of 16 to 20 dollars. Too bad, because the Hyundai cars are nice vehicles, but negotiating with these guys is impossible. Lies, games, changing prices, insistence that you come down to “talk”, refusal to negotiate over the internet and generally behaving like the worst example of car salesmen. Look elsewhere if you do not want the hassle.
