I waited in person and the team did a great job to finish quickly so I could move on to the rest of my day. Plus,… the complementary exterior car wash was a nice touch. Generic Review Title By An Uncreative Person
by Dan B on 05/29/2021I bought a Subaru Legacy from Paul Miller six years ago. In the meantime, I put that car through things no stock sedan should be asked to do and it kept going. But, it was time to upgrade. 20000 miles a year riding sandy trails in Rhode… Island and making my own in muddy Tennessee was a bit unreasonable. I called around to more local places to find the right vehicle. I live in Pennsylvania and didn't really want to drive far; I'm pretty lazy and I wasn't convinced my geriatric car would survive the trek to Parsippany as the "check engine" light was, for the first time in my ownership, glowing steadily. The first "dealer" (quotes are on purpose) told me about a very nice Toyota 4Runner he had just brought in. In a thick foreign accent, he lazily described the features: "yeah man, mean, it has a seatbelt and a radio... And you can get air conditioning, too!" Safety is important, so the seatbelt sold me, and so I threw this in the "maybe" pile. Browsing further, I came across a Toyota Highlander. This gem had everything the 4Runner had, minus 100000 miles. Upon further inquiry, it was previously owned (leased) by the Philadelphia Phillies. But given their record, I thought it best to avoid this one. I don't need bad luck following me. Turns out the 4Runner was stolen, so I had no possibilities left. Then I went to my garage to get some thinking beer and remembered that Paul Miller place from years past, mostly because the "Paul Miller" sticker was still on the back of the car. Recalling the positive experience I had, I browsed their stock. As the beers cracked open, I became more and more confident about purchasing a Bentley. But I quickly discovered that even a used cost more than my house. Defeated, I opened my eighth and perused more rational and affordable selections in the Subaru line. I found a couple potentials (Impreza and Forester) and scheduled test drives. At best, I'd buy a car. At worst, the Jersey shore isn't far, so calling off work wasn't in vain either way. While the Impreza is a spirited drive, I'm 6'3 and 295lbs. Not necessarily a fat guy car. So for my money, Forester it was. And this is where my sales representative, Alex, shone. With a twinkle in his eye, he helped lock in what would best suit my needs and we found the right one. I've passed kidney stones before, and was ready for the excruciating haggle that was to begin. Only, it never came. In fact, there was no pressure at all. Not only did Alex spend more time with me in one day than my (now ex) girlfriend of six months, he wasn't overbearing or in any way off-putting. Words were said and numbers crunched and there it was- a deal I could live with. He promptly enlisted the help of Carlos in finance to wrap it all up, and this is where all those minute details I never paid attention to in my college business classes popped up. But, thankfully, he was transparent as glass and explained things in a way a second grade repeat like myself could understand. But he didn't stop there- not only did he get a loan with more favorable terms than I expected, like a seasoned ballerina, he danced around a technical snafu with my own bank and a down payment and finished off the process with a gleaming smile, saying, "We got you." The infinitude of papers signed, I drove the 120 miles home in my new Subaru Forester. Yes, I drove 120 miles for the Paul Miller Difference and was not disappointed. I also went to the Jersey shore anyway and called off sick the next day, too.Hi, thanks for your great review, and for giving our dealership such a high star rating! Paul Miller Subaru service center in Parsippany always honors their and competitor service coupons with service… done right, a complementary car wash when available, and no pushy service advisors like common in other dealerships. Paul Miller Subaru... a different kind of car dealer
by Terry480 on 05/17/2021This dealership really is different from most others. Its a very relaxed atmosphere, where you don't feel pressured. They take the time to show you various vehicles and let you make choices. They'll let you drive various models so you can… compare better. I originally came in to look at some vehicles, but didn't see what I liked, so I left. Because there was no pressure, I returned a month later and did see one I liked that was scheduled to arrive soon and I bought it. During the wait, I changed my mind and changed the model. There was absolutely no problem or hesitation on their part. It was all very easy as they want you to be happy with the car you finally do purchase.We understand it's a big decision where you purchase your car from, and we are grateful to have been chosen.
