  • They give car dealerships the reputation of being sneaky.

    Do not shop here. This dealership is filled with [non-permissible content removed]. I went into a lease deal for a 2024 Honda Prologue on November 2, 2024 at Metro Honda in Jersey City. I dealt with Daniel, a young and new salesman, with the deal being closed by his sales manager Jay. As I was incredibly hesitant about moving forward with this deal, Jay and Daniel worked hard to bring the car to a payment I could realistically afford, with the following incentives: save money on gas, receive a discount for driving an electric vehicle with EZ pass, and utilize the tax credit once I file my taxes. With this information, I proceeded into the lease agreement. Fast forward to now, in an attempt to file my taxes with the tax credit I was promised, my federal return continues to be rejected due to the VIN number not being reported to the IRS. When I inquired about this, the dealership refused to give me the necessary forms, telling me that they've never heard of the forms required by the IRS. It appears that they are not reporting these sales to the IRS, or if they are, they are refusing to provide these to their customers. They refused to provide me with a time of sales report. They. have no form where I indicated that I would be transferring the tax credit to the dealership in order to lower my car payment. After days of trying to resolve this from a distance with Daniel, my original salesman, he was not able to provide me the time of sales report or the confirmation from the IRS that the vehicle had been reported correctly, I went into Honda myself. They NOW insist that the discount I received on the car was me verbally transferring the tax credit to the dealership. This is not itemized on any contract nor was there ever any written agreement to this. In fact, it is the OPPOSITE of what was said to me. Now they are asking me why I am all of sudden thinking I am entitled to the tax rebate. While I know dealerships are currently offering the rebate at the time of purchase, this was not the agreement in November. I was flat out told I would benefit from the tax credit by the sales manager Jay. This was clearly a lie to close the deal. They have no manager at this time and Delio, claiming to be some manager is degrading and demeaning, trying to tell me how to do my taxes correctly, after conveying information directly from my accountant. Don't do it!

    Patience is a virtue. If you plan on taking a while, bring a cooler with food and drink because it seems to be a food desert at this dealership's location. Or use Uber Eats.. Overall. The interaction with my salesperson and the people supporting him was professional, comforting, and productive. They made me feel welcomed in this process. And the name Sam seems to be popular at this location.

    I am writing this review so that you guys save yourself from being mistreated. I went with my girlfriend as she wanted to buy a car. Manager literally summoned us inside for further negotiations whereas customer at other desks literally had managers come out and talk to them. The manager's comment was "Did you bargain for your $500 Ray Bans?", and this is just the tip of the ice-berg. Culture flows top down in any organization. If this happened once, this has happened before and will happen again, so save your self respect and peace of mind and stay away from this dealership or any other dealership managed by whoever owns it.

  • Avoid this Dealership Like the Plague

    Metro Honda was a terrible experience. on 10/25 I went in to look at a Honda Civic, but was told that the car wasn't ready for sale despite being listed on the website. I was shown a few other cars as well. I settled on a 2016 Subaru Forester that was listed online in the same price range as the Honda and went for a test drive. The actual price was several thousand dollars more than the price listed online. It seemed fine and I signed the papers on it and drove it home after scheduling some service to fix an A/C issue. I was promised that the dealership would cover the cost of that expense and any other issue that cropped up. When I got to my service appointment on the 28th, the shop was slammed and I was asked to reschedule, which I did for 11/4. The day before my new appointment, the engine started smoking and I immediately let the dealership know. I was encouraged to bring the car in and let the shop know what happened. After dropping off the car and waiting several hours I was told that the dealership wouldn't be servicing the vehicle at all since it was sold "as is", not even the A/C issue that I was promised. I took the car the Subaru dealership where it was last serviced before being sold to Metro and they told me that the previous owner brought the car in with the smoking engine issue before selling it, never had it addressed (which is why the Carfax didn't list it) and then sold it to Metro. I was sold a car that had catastrophic engine damage when the dealership bought it, and now I'm on the hook for $6-$7K to fully replace the engine. Metro wouldn't connect me to the General Manager and is not blocking my calls to the dealership. Avoid this dealership like the plague.

    We saw the new CRV over the weekend at a friends and my wife and I decided to Cody metro Honda for a test drive. We were not expecting to leave with a 2023 CRV a couple hours later! Juan was attentive and extremely knowledgeable and everyone else we met had a smile! A refreshing pleasure and glad we chose metro.

    PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! Once they close you out, they leave you in the dark. Came here a few months ago and purchased a 2018 accord and one of the sales associates told me he had the spare key, the previous owner just had to drop it off. Also that he would make an appointment to get my rear brakes done because as a certified pre-owned car the rotors were looking a worn. Called, texted, and went there several times only to be ignored or "we'll take care of it some other time." Went there today because I was tired of the back and forth and spoke to Benny today and he literally told me "I could promise you the stars and the moon, but if its not written in the deal, you're out of luck." .

    I forgot that after 3 years you can trade in your car! I only came to get something done to my then car but my fave sales manager hit me up like, it’s time! Shout out to Nick Redondo! He’s literally the best. If you’re lucky when you visit 440 Metro Honda, ask for Nick! He’ll hook you up! 🙏🏼🙌🏽💯

    I bought my first car in US in Metro Honda, they cheated me $4000 royally & legally, due to my mistake in trusting the sales person Kathy Patel, I signed the document. I thought it is the mistake or cheat of the sales person Kathy Patel but then realized the management is also involved in it. They spend around 4 hours with me to sell the car. But their GM or Director of sales is not ready to sit and talk regarding the issue even for 10 mins. They were too rude and humiliated me when I had conversation with their GM John P**. Whoever wants the trusted dealership for your Honda cars, please don’t buy your car here.
