Absolute Failure
by Jeb on 12/23/2021I would give this dealership a zero if possible. I am remote purchasing and called the dealership to purchase a very nice low mileage X3. I was told by the operator that a salesperson would reach out to me shortly. I called back an hour… later and was told they were busy and someone would be reaching out very shortly. It took another 45 minutes after that before someone called. I told the salesperson I wanted to purchase this vehicle but had a few questions. My questions were answered and I told them again I wanted to purchase the vehicle but needed to check with my bank to make sure the vehicle qualified for my financing because it was almost ten years old. I told them I needed a PO. the salesperson said the VIN and vehicle information should be enough. at no point in time did the salesperson say anything about a deposit and even said that the car was not actually available yet because it had to go through reconditioning. by this time the bank was closed so I had to wait till morning. I got verification from my bank by 7:30 am and immediately called the dealership. they were not open yet but I left a message with them that I wanted to move forward and purchase the vehicle. I got no response. I called back an hour after they had opened and was forwarded to the salesperson I had worked with before. no answer. I again left a message saying I wanted to purchase the vehicle and wanted to get the paperwork started. still no response. I started calling the dealership every 45 minutes or so because no one was calling me back. Finally, at almost noon I get a call back. I tell the salesperson I want to purchase the vehicle and to send the documentation. he says he needs my DL and insurance to start the paperwork. I send them immediately. he texts me back about 20 minutes later and tells me the car has already sold. I asked him to provide me with the manager's phone number. he never responded. so I call the dealership and ask for the manager and he was absolutely worthless. offered nothing, provided nothing, just said the car sold. told me without a deposit there was nothing he could do. I told him no one offered me a deposit and I would have been happy to provide one if they had. he asked me if I was interested in any other inventory. I asked him if he could offer me something comparable. he said they have over 200 cars and he didn't know but made no effort to find out. so it's clear there is nothing they are going to do for me. I write a review and ask the person on their chat window how I submit it. the person sends me a link that does not go to a site to submit a review, it is just a dealer page with their hours. I ask again for the link to the review page. the person sends the same page. I again tell them that is not a page for review. the person asks for my information so they can have a person on their team reach out to me. I tell them every person in their dealership has been an absolute failure to this point and that I just want to leave a review and move on. finally, the person sends me the link to this review page. just an absolute failure by this dealership in every possible way.Stay AWAY@
by VincentML510 on 04/26/2018Long story short. Egor in sales left me 4 messages on my phone about a price reduction on an X5 Msport i was interested in. with a starting price of 52k. ..After Egor left me 4 voicemails (each time reducing the price of the car) stating… they were willing to drop the cost to 48k. at that point i thought it was time to go talk to them. Egor and i went back and forth for a while but ended up ageing on an ALL INN cost of 46k for the X5... With a trade in value of my current car of 16k. (they were the ones to determine my cars value) Egor stepped out to see if they could make that happen... he walks back into the room and congratulates me "we can do that" (with a shake of the hand). After signing the contract i thought was what we agreed to... it turns out they altered my numbers a bit to make it seem like i was getting the car for 46k. Well No! the total amount i financed was 46k ! and further look into my contract shows they sold the car to me for $49,330 even more then the reduced price offered to me on voicemail. and $13,500 for trade in value. a $2500 difference then the agreed handshake stated. Pretty much they tricked me to sign the contract, the total they showed of 46k was actually the amount i was financing, on top of giving them my 16 thousand dollar trade inn. they sold me a 46 thousand dollar car, for 63k pretty much. After calling and expressing the issues i had they assured me they would handle it i had to wait to speak to the right person. that person never called me. every time i call to speak to someone i get transferred to a voice mail and no ever calls backAMAZING!!!

Very knowledgeable about the vehicle.Incredible buying experince with Paul M!
by jrh12 on 08/25/2014To whom it may concern: My recent used BMW buying experience with Open Road BMW in Edison, New Jersey was positively incredible. As I am based in Seattle, WA and I had very little experience dealing with a remote transaction of this scale,… I was understandably nervous. As it turned out, I had no reason to be nervous. Due to the high price of used cars in the Seattle region I hesitantly decided to perform a nation-wide search for my next car a used BMW M3 sedan. After one and one half years my search came to an end due to the incredible work of the used car team at Open Road BMW, especially that of saleperson Paul M. For me my experience with Open Road BMW in Edison, NJ added to my already nice list of great things that came from New Jersey in 2014. After the Seattle Seahawks won their first! Lombardi Trophy in New Jersey in February, it was icing on the cake to end my lengthy nationwide search for a high quality used BMW M3 sedan delivered from New Jersey. My search started in November of 2012. During this time I corresponded with 42 different dealerships and 9 different private sellers across the US, until finding the perfect car at the right price at Open Road. The original goal was to find an M3 sedan with less than 40,000 miles (and 6sp, and navigation, and m-drive, and DCT, and with carbon fiber trim, and not red interior, and not red, white, or blue exterior) so finding this particular car at Open Road with just over 20,000 miles was positively amazing. Throughout my process Paul was responsive to all of my emails, phone calls, and even after-hour texts. He helped collect photos while the car was still being prepped, he coordinated my friend test driving the car at my behest, he managed the pile of paperwork (...yes, I am buying this car, no I will not operate it in New Jersey, etc...), and he ensured that the car was properly loaded on to the transporter truck. Paul was honest about the condition of the car, and kept me updated as to the status of the minor repairs that were being performed. I also want to take this opportunity to thank the other Open Road folks who were heavily involved notably Alex R and Michael M who helped facilitate the remote transaction. One last anecdote about Paul's work that demonstrates his (and by extension Open Road's) dedication to the customer As he helped load the car on the transporter, he noticed that the right rocker panel had some minor damage that he had not disclosed in our previous discussion, nor that my friend, who test drove the car, had uncovered. Paul called me that day and offered to send me a check for his estimate to repair the rocker damage. I was frankly amazed! Thanks again to Paul M and the Open Road BMW team in Edison, NJ and here's to many more Superbowl trophies for the Hawks and to many more happy miles in the Open Road M3! by sadna on 08/13/2014Great experience, I worked with Dave L and he was excellent. Dave was low key, not pushy and v. respectful. He had filled the car up prior to my arriving. We did the deal quickly(site pricing was v. fair to start, nothing nationally… compared for similar vehicle with feature set, only other was in CA dealership, I'd done my hmwk for mths beforehand) and he continued to follow up post sale and provide advice on other items. V. knowledgeable about the vehicle. Also worked with Alex and Michael M (Manager and Finance areas), v. low stress and Dave even helped me get the vehicle home without any issue, I'm about 10 mins from the dealership site.Great Experience!
by sc24427 on 07/13/2014I went into Open Road BMW to test drive a 3 series BMW and price out what I would get on my trade in. This was the best experiences I have ever had buying a car. I was not pressured in anyway and my sales person, David Chandler, went out of… his way to try and find the colors I was looking for. Once they located my car he spent the time going over all the features of the car. I am so happy!!! I would definitely recommend Open Road BMW in Edison!!Fast, Easy and Honest
by roadwarrior9 on 09/19/2009I went to Open Road BMW after being lied to at other dealerships. My salesman Andrew went out of his way to be easy going and to make me feel comfortable. He showed me many BMW's until we finally found the perfect 325 for me. So many… other dealerships were high pressure with a shove it down your throats attitude. I am very happy with my BMW and Open Road BMW.Highly Recommend
by burnedtoast on 12/03/2008Open Road BMW provided a very smooth process. The sales person that I worked with Jamal Sutton, was extremely helpful. I had contact 5 other dealerships before contacting Jamal at Open Road. I live in NYC and wanted something closer to… home. Open Road and Jamal in particular was extremely helpful during the process - not only did he give me the best price. But promptly returned phone calls and email. This was not the case at other dealerships. Further, I was able to do the whole transaction over the phone. So when I walked into the dealership it was a matter of signing papers for 1/2 hour. Jamal Sutton really facilitated all of this and work around my and my wife busy schedule.Walked out with BMW
by mybmw1 on 01/04/2008I went there after reading the only review on Edmunds and glad I did it, went to another dealership and had such a bad experience that I don't want to discuss here. I am not going to write a big review, to sum I went to OpenRoad BMW and… bought the vehicle on my first visit, they gave me good trade-in price for my old vehicle and all the transaction process was 'Open' and smooth.Good Dealership, Smooth process
by rahooool on 09/28/2007Sales process was quick and easy but they dont negotiate much on price. Finance process was smooth and no scams like other dealerships. Everything else was great.Don't care that you are giving them busisness.
by khiladi on 02/16/2014updated 07/03/2025Indifferent people. Some are unprofessional, some are strictly average. Don't take time to tell you all the features. Don't take care to tell you all available options. they wanna make a sale and move on to the next one.
