Car salesmen that treated you like family
by savannahjean12 on 08/11/2014I ended up at Toyota of Keene because I was sick of not having a car and just wanted to pick one out and get it over with. This dealership was the only one around that was open on a Sunday, (they are not anymore) and were the only ones that… had the Corolla in a true standard transmission. We walked in and told them exactly what I wanted to see. Immediately Randy F went and got the keys and told us to take it for a test drive, no questions asked. We came back and started doing paperwork. Randy was by far the best car salesman I have ever dealt with. Being only 22 I haven't dealt with many but he didn't have that "I need to sell you this car, right now, at this price" attitude. He gave us the final price that they could do and said if we weren't able to make that work he would completely understand and would try to seek out other cars for us. After we got through with Randy we went into the financial office to finish up the paperwork. They were able to get us the lowest interest rate possible! And they were so efficient in what they were doing and made it really easy for us. I would recommend this dealership ten times over to anyone and everyone and if my Toyota ever gives out, I'll be back for more!Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts online! We are very happy Randy was able to provide you with the experience you expect and deserve! We hope you enjoy the Corolla and we look forward to seeing you soon! Regards, Fenton Family Dealerships
"car salesman stigma" comes true!
by aemelia on 06/06/2008The first fake handshake, glued on smile and "I'm your best friend hello" set off my "fight or flight" alarm in my head. Too bad I did not listen. This past weekend I visited the Keene Toyota New Hampshire dealer inquiring about the… Yaris Hatchback. The red one was sitting in the garage with the back window blown out and a salesman, "my best new friend" stumbling over his words as how it happened (license plate placed in rear view window and defrost turned on). To get to the point, I was escourted to his desk and that is when it all began. The "how much do you owe on your trade in", "we have a special on this and that to bring your payments up to......, OH, we are relaxed here, let me go ask the manager. do you want some coffee?" My brain was screeming "stop" from the moment he wanted me to start filling out papers. This salesman totally ignored my initial request of how much my trade in was worth and finally answered the question with "oh yeah, the same amount as your final payment on your car" which, by the way was under 10,000 bluebook price. I felt like a deflated balloon, tired of being filled with a lot of "hot air". I left knowing I will never go back to Keene Toyota again. Too bad for the other salesmen (and women) in the room, their colleauge is not a team player but was "wax from beginning to end". [violative content deleted]Ned is a great person
by HeartandSoul on 05/15/2013updated 06/13/2025Ned took the time to answer all of my wife question, after buying they had a new car workshop that was above and beyond, walking you threw service center and explain any additional question after you have already purchase. They Could Have at Least Bought me Dinner First!
by nodumbblonde on 04/17/2012updated 06/13/2025Where else can you go to look at a used vehicle priced reasonably at $16,877, trade in your current vehicle, and receive an email the next day with a loan pre-approval in the amount of $20,000, which is the price this dealership had… graciously financed on my behalf for the vehicle... I didn't sign...I'm blonde, but far from a dumb one. They (I'm not sure who exactly, but someone at the dealership) kindly added on $2400 for a warranty, $800 for group life insurance, and a fee of $900 in order to get the financing. (For those who don't know, dealerships get "kickbacks" or "finder's fees" for hooking up financial institutions with would be consumers.) Salespeople make a very nice profit with the commissions they make from the warranties and group insurance policies. When the sales rep called me, he said we were "all set" and he would be sending me the info via email later in the afternoon. I wasn't going to be home in the afternoon, and was disappointed when the email came after I was out. I tried to access it through my phone, but was unable to open the attachment. So I sent it to my husband who opened it and laughed. The moral of the story is this:Stay away...stay far away. I had heard some stories about this place, and had an unfun time about 20 years ago there, but I decided to give it a shot. That was stupid. Geez, they could have at least bought me dinner first..Toyota Highlander, Great service

by formertoyocust on 08/20/2012updated 06/13/2025Once my vehicle had a problem, I got the run around from the service department. I called the Toyota 800 service number and opened a case. I was told that Todd the customer service manager at Toyota of Keene would contact me within three… business days. I did not receive a phone call back. I called the 800 number two more times and still received no phone call or other communication from the dealership. My complaint with the BBB resulted in no phone call either and only a pat and dismissive answer by letter through the BBB. I was ignored and no effort was made on Toyota of Keene's part to resolve or even discuss the issue with me. Even if they felt they were in the right in terms of the vehicle's issue, ignoring a customer's formal complaint is poor customer service! Customer Disservice is what I received. I did get a response THE NEXT DAY when I posted a negative review/comment on another rating website. Interesting how a prompt response was elicited when my dissatisfaction was public. The customer service manager apologized for 'the miscommunication'. Ignorning a customer until a public review is posted does not qualify as a 'miscommunication'. I will no longer do business with them and will let everyone know of my experience there. I should say the sales department of this dealership is wonderful and I had a great experience with Jamie Rios. Too bad for them I won't be back to purchase/service any vehicles.Car Sales
