They got me in

Gorges Surprised Me
by anders_v on 05/20/2010I've always bought BMWs and Mercedes from the dealerships here in town. Last week I went to look at a new XC60 and wasn't sure what to think. Volvo to me hadn't ever been a "top line" car company. Boy was I wrong. Two of the salesmen were… the most personable and friendly people I have met in a long time. They really seemed to know their stuff when it came to the internal workings of the car. I consider myself a car enthusiast and someone who knows a lot about the cars I drive. The nicest thing about this store was their willingness to say "I don't know" and find out information about the XC60 for me. The things I wanted to know. Anyway, from the salesman to the manager to the finance man, I've never felt pressured to buy the car. They supplied the information, I made up my mind. No pressure. I guess it's easy when they have a car that sells themselves.Do NOT buy from Gorges
by brandynd on 04/12/2010I went into Gorges with my husband, and we were looking into an S60. Everything was fine until we started working on the fiance aspect of our purchase. We had opted to go through our own bank (we get an awesome interest rate through them)… and advised them of this. Our loan officer checked the retail value of the car on KBB, NADA, and Black Book. The car was only worth $11,000, and they wanted $17,000 for a base model that had been usd as the courtesy car for those who were having their own serviced. The finance manager then proceeded to PERSONALLY attack my husband, telling him that he had no idea what he was talking about, and that our banker was stupid, etc. I have NEVER encountered such unprofessional behavior from a company before, and will NOT be returning here ever. Thank you Gorges, you've turned me into a BMW driver for life.Fast Service and Great people
by BrakBrak on 01/14/2009I worked with two sales people who seemed like genuine car people. It was weird because I'm not used to that when I go into a car dealership. Anyway, my service was taken care of almost immediately when I had a problem. They all seem like… decent people there and that always starts at the top. I am now a Volvo customer for life! by tommyk2 on 09/27/2008I am 46 years old and have had several new cars and been in many dealerships (as well as countless other customer service situations), and Gorges Volvo has the best service department I have ever had the experience of visiting and using.… They did only the service I wanted -- no questions asked. Get this: I even wanted a particular service (timing belt) and they said, no, it's not time yet. Can you imagine? And, they also said my brakes are fine, the squeaking is only because of off brand disk pads, but they'll last at least 10,000 more miles. Speed, politeness, acceptable prices, and cleanliness of the facility all added up to the best service ever! Even the shuttle driver was a great guy!Go see Chad

Chad was there patiently always giving advice and listening to what I wanted in a… vehicle. The other staff and management are very friendly.Don't take your car to Gorges!!
by yamanloseke on 12/07/2011updated 08/31/2025Worthless!.....Told me I had no bill and a month later called and asked when I had picked up my car, said they lost my bill, but had just recently found it. They wanted to charge me $600 to replace a sensor, which consisted of removing two… screws and replacing the old sensor with a new one. I did the job myself in 5 minutes with the exact same sensor, which I bought for $120. This solution to my problem didn't even fix my car. The other problem, they weren't even able to diagnose! From now on I will be driving 4 hours to the next closest Volvo dealership to get my car serviced.Fair, Honest, and Fun
by arttcher on 06/20/2011updated 08/31/2025I first purchased a used 2009 used C-30 last summer and was very impressed with the Gorges Volvo "family" treatment and the integrity of the dealership. These folks are not your ordinary dealership and I have purchased MANY cars from other… local dealers. I went back this summer and traded my C-30 for an 2012 S-60. The salesman are FAIR, HONEST, and they treat me like a VIP every time I enter on the property. I cannot imagine ever buying a vehicle from another dealership. These people stick to their logo which is "we treat you like family and we make it fun again." Indeed, this was true for me! I can sleep at night and the deal I got was amazing as well!Two Vehicles in Two Weeks

Well, the first buying experience was so good, we decided to ask Drew F. & Chad C. to be on the lookout for a very specific replacement for our… second vehicle. It took less than a week for that to occur, and yesterday we bought our second vehicle from Gorges inside of two weeks. Have to say, that feels crazy, but the attention to detail Drew and Chad showed us, and the attention they paid to us as individuals, had an impact. I ended up with a great car for what I think is a very fair price and couldn't be happier. Again Drew was incredibly easy to work with on the deal and Chad...I feel like I grew up with both of these guys. I can sense the honesty and doing things ethically, and I really appreciate that. The finance guys made it easy on us again and got us an even better rate, by 1.20%, than we had coming in. Brett in particular impressed me again with his approach and the fact that, earlier in the day, with my head down looking at my phone, sitting in the waiting area, he recognized me as he entered the building and said hi and asked how things were going. You just don't normally see that out of the guys you don't expect to have to create those relationships. To me, this is part of what sets Gorges aside from the others.Unfortunate

After a few weeks and no check, it took a couple emails before being referred to the finance person. While my… impression was the sales person made a mistake and the dealership didn't intend for this to happen, it did happen and it cost me $400. It's unfortunate, the could have been a great buying experience and fell short because of the incorrect information the sales person gave me.We apologize for the misunderstanding but we are grateful for your business.
