  • BUYERS BEWARE!!

1 out of 5 starsby Sherry on 08/22/2020

WORST car dealership ever. [non-permissible content removed] who don't care about their customers and just want your money. I took my 2015 Jeep here to trade for a 2012 Acadia I saw online. When I showed up to see the Acadia 2 days after I called them to make sure it was still available the car was filthy, had a cracked windshield and was shaking when I drove it. They knew I was coming to see it and didn't even have it cleaned or serviced. We talked prices for the trade with Blake Mireles. Worked out a deal which included everything I mentioned be fixed (air condition didn't work, shaking when driving, windshield cracked and super dirty inside). Blake told me and my husband we could come back tomorrow (Thursday) to pick up the Acadia that everything would be fixed. We said we would be back that Friday which was 2 days after we bought it. They gave us a 2020 equinox for a loaner, which was cover in dog hair and was also filthy inside. Thursday evening at 5pm (they were open til 9pm) I called Blake to make sure everything was ready for me to make the drive out there Friday morning. He told me he was going to go check on it and call me back. NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Friday morning comes and I still hadn't heard from anyone. I talked to the service center since my car needed to be serviced and thought they would be able to let me know if it was ready or not. Well Hannah told me she would CALL ME BACK but I got a text message that said "This is Hannah over at Feldman. Spoke to you on the phone. Your vehicle is detail right now. Blake is not in today did he tell you when you could pick-up?" So the day I'm suppose to go pick up they start working on it... I then called the operator cuz I was mad and upset that they had NO COMMUNICATION. She told me the General manger Jason would call me back guess what he NEVER did.... 2 hours later my husband called and demanded someone talk to us about our car which we finally got a call back from Jeremy the sales manger. My husband had taken the day off work so we could go pick the car up. It was over an hour drive away. We found out that the windshield was on back order and they were cleaning the car as we were talking to him. He said Monday, Tuesday at the latest. We said we wanted it brought to us since we were told it would be ready Friday and it wasn't. Monday Jeremy let us know that they would be bringing it out Tuesday around Noon. Tuesday around Noon Ron a car transporter brought my car to my home. We had asked when we were at the dealer ship Wednesday if the car could be brought to the Lansing store or to our home they told us that they didn't offer that. Funny how now someone was at my home with the car I bought that says this is his JOB at Feldman. Ron was the only positive experience I had with Feldman. He was blow away with what I was dealing with. 8/18/20 First day around noon having the car in my possession I drove it to my in laws house to let their dog out. I noticed the transmission felt odd and not normal. The tack was jumping around like crazy when going 50-55. My husband drove it the next day 8/19/20 he also noticed the transmission having a hard time switching gears. I also noticed green fluid leaking out when had it parked. We checked it and it was the a/c refrigerate that they "fixed". The cap was off and sitting inside the hood and it was leaking somewhere in the line. The a/c was working inside the car besides on the passenger side which was blowing HOT air while everything else was cold. We called Jeremy to let him know 8/19 the issues we were having and of course no answer and no call back. My husband texted Blake on 8/20 telling him all the issues we were having and the only response we got back was "what is the issue?" after that not 1 response. Pictures below of messages. At this point we just wanted our Jeep back and it wasn't worth the risk of keeping this car when we had been ignored the whole time. We were told we had 3 days/ 150 mile buy back guarantee. Weird how no one would return phone calls or text messages within the three days. Today 8/22/20 my husband finally got a call back from the general manger Jason (who was the one that was supposed to call me back that Friday and never did) turns out its been to long since we bought the car for them to do anything... No you just don't communicate and that is why its been to long. I'm warning everyone I know and people I don't know DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. EVEN IF YOU LOVE THE CAR THEY HAVE TO OFFER. ITS NOT WORTH IT!!

  • Horrible and pushy service

1 out of 5 starsby Chris on 04/15/2020

We stopped into this dealership on a Saturday as my lease was approaching its end date to look around and test drive a few vehicles. My boyfriend and i were approached by Megan a saleswoman. We explained we were there just to get an idea on what was out there and to test drive a few Silverado models. After test driving a few vehicles and discussed what our options were explained that we were just looking as we had a few months remaining on our lease. Megan proceeded to just throw out numbers even bringing over the sales manager Matt just pushing to get a sale. After 6 1/2 hours they offered us a deal we couldn't refuse and left with a 2019 Chevy Trail Boss with a dealer plate and no verification of our auto insurance. We were told to turn our current lease that following Monday for inspection, give them the keys and drop off our deposit on the vehicle we were purchasing. Over the weekend we decided to decline the gap coverage and requested the appropriate paperwork to have it removed from our loan. Upon turning in our lease, it was inspected and we were told all was good with the vehicle, gave them our $3000.00 deposit and were told they would rework the paperwork and mail us the updated loan paperwork. Needless to say, they never reworked the paperwork (pretty much stealing my deposit) nor did they remove the gap coverage we declined (I even have a copy of the filled out form requesting removal). After having my new vehicle over a year now I just received a bill for $450.00 from GM Financial for excessive wear and tear on a vehicle I haven't had for a year now when we were told the vehicle passed inspection. I have never dealt with a company like this before. Not only were we pressured into purchasing this vehicle, we were lied and stolen from.. BE VERY CAUTIOUS if you are considering doing business with this dealership as they are very deceptive and conniving and will add hidden costs to your loan.

  • Vehicle damage

1 out of 5 starsby Don on 12/06/2019

Sold me a damaged vehicle that was supposed to be certified. Went to go put running boards onto a 2016 Silverado I bought with only 35k miles on it only to see that the underbody where they attached was damaged, like the previous owner had running boards on but ripped them off and damaged the panel. Surely this was noticed during certified inspection but wasn't disclosed. I spoke with management and they won't even meet me half way on the repair.
  • Great salesman!

Honestly, I didn’t come in expecting much. But Tyler Piotraczk was the first to greet me and was extremely helpful and friendly. I didn’t feel like I was getting taken advantage of (which is so common with salesman). He ACTUALLY listened to what I was looking for in a car and that was awesome!!
  • Poor service - too long and overcharged

1 out of 5 starsby EG on 06/21/2019

My car sat on their lot for over a week without being looked at. I was initially told the work my car needed was covered under warranty, then it had some mystery issue that resulted in excessive charges for labor only, no parts. I feel I was taken advantage of because as a woman they thought I wouldn't understand or question what they said.
  • Car Buying the way it should be!

5 out of 5 starsby CK on 04/17/2019

After looking online i decided to stop in and see what could be done to exit my existing lease and get into something new. I meet with Rick Cottick who was a pleasure to work with. Let him know what truck i wanted (had already picked it out from there website) and also what i was willing to pay. After some details were exchanged he worked up the numbers and he was able to get me where I wanted to be (monthly payment wise) within minutes without any of the typical back and forth things dealerships usually do. We shock hands , I signed all the paperwork that was needed and I was on my way in my new truck. I would recommend this dealership and especially Rick to anyone who is looking for something new without all the haggling and back and forth that usually takes place.
  • Quick and Painless Oil Change and Tire Rotation.

5 out of 5 starsby Ben on 03/28/2019

Alec helped me out today and made it easy for me to be able to drop my vehicle off to be worked on. It was great to know I could leave it there so I could finish what I needed to do for the day and come back to a finished oil change and tire rotation. Great service all around and very helpful employees.

  • Car purchase experience at Feldman

5 out of 5 starsby TonyChawla on 03/04/2019

In december 2013, I had leased 2014 Chevrolet Cruze diesel for my daughter from Jay Chevrolet, and purchased a pre-owned 2010 Acadia for my wife from La fontaine, both in Highland. Jay Chevrolet dealership changed hands and hence became Feldman Chevrolet. I returned to Feldman to ask about ending the lease and buying the Cruze. That is when I met with Eric Swiden , who helped me with numbers for both choices for buying or turning in and leasing another one. I was so pleased with his sincerity, that I purchased the Cruze, diesel for my son, and leased another 2016 Cruze gas for my daughter. Next year, I had been having repeated problems with my Acadia, and I discussed with Eric how to get out of it, he ran the numbers again and found me a 2017 Traverse with same features, i.e. leather, AWD, same color, and in my budget. I was again so pleased that I got the Traverse for my wife, I also turned in the Cruze gas and got a Trax AWD for my daughter. Both my wife and daughter are extremely happy and hence I am thankful to Eric for being such a help. GREAT WORK, GOOD ATTITUDE. ALWAYS HELPFUL.

  • Elderly taken advantage of

1 out of 5 starsby Chuck on 12/19/2018

My 80 year old army veteran dad that has been diagnosed with Alzheimers was taken advantage of at this dealership. Unaware of what he was doing at the time, they sold him a 2 wheel drive, 6 cyl pick-up truck pick that he could not get approved on (they went through many different financial institutions and someone modified his income on the application and mysteriously had him initial that number) just to push the loan through. His total income for the month is just over $2100 per month to live on and after the dealership sold him this truck (with every imaginable warranty available) the payment comes out to $751 per month for 7 YEARS plus his insurance. The total cost after a full term loan is $78,975.16. He clearly CANNOT afford this truck. Our family went in to talk to the dealership right after he bought it and asked them to take the truck back because of the Alzheimers and the fact that he cannot afford it and the dealership said "no". DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They are no longer returning any of my attempts to contact them. Clearly predatory tactics against the elderly.
  • Be very careful!! thoroughly check any vehicle you purchase here.

1 out of 5 starsby GeorgeMiller on 11/09/2018

My dad (elderly man) recently purchased a 2015 Yukon from this dealership. Looked good and drove well on test drive. After less than a month he started having issues and took it elsewhere to get it checked out. He was informed that the struts were leaking, the tires were bad, and the brake pads were almost gone. He reached back out to Feldman, since he had just purchased this vehicle, and the service manager who helped him seemed very empathetic at the time and made my dad feel like they would rectify the issue. He said he would have the service manager call him so that they could get this taken care of. So days passed and a week passed and no call back. So then my dad made multiple calls to get the service manager and they were never available. He also left his information to have them call him back BUT that NEVER happened!!! After hearing what happened to my dad I reached out to the manager Jason Bellant. He sent the email over to Wendy the service manager and she emailed me immediately and called me dad. She said they would have his vehicle brought in and checked so that they could rectify this. they were apologetic and all. Good sign right??? That's what I thought also. Needless to say my dad took the vehicle in and they came and told him the same thing that he already knew that the struts were bad, the tires, and also told him that the ball joints were bad!! ALL went bad in a month right?? after the hundred and whatever inspection that was done on the vehicle? So the next thing really took me.. they actually then gave my dad a BILL for all of the work!! their remedy to the situation was to fix it for him and charge him more than he could have gotten it fixed for around the corner from him!! Yes he is from out of town and took out the time to drive his vehicle down. So he ended up paying more money than he would have getting it fixed himself! So be careful here, or just add the extra $3000 to the price of your vehicle upfront! I asked them one question and of course I got no response, "Do you think we would have purchased this vehicle if you told us at the table that before we had out first oil change we would have to put $3000 more into the vehicle??". I expect this from the low down dirty rinky dink dealerships but not from a supposed respected dealership with MULTIPLE locations. Oh yeah they charged for the labor also... BUYER BEWARE
