horrible service department
by Bryan_T on 07/17/2024updated 07/23/2024My 2022 2500HD LT was delivered without the heated steering wheel due to the chip shortage. I brought it in for the upfit when the chips became available. During the first appointment, the tech stripped a screw and damaged the steering… column. I was not informed and was sent on my way. The truck was obviously steering differently then when I arrived. I made another appointment to have the steering column fixed. At the next appointment, the column was replaced, but the plastic housing was damaged during the repair, Had to bring it back a third time to have that fixed, at which time they broke the clock spring on the wheel. NEVER RETURNINGThank you for sharing your experience. We understand the frustration you must have felt dealing with these issues with your vehicle. We are disappointed to hear about the inconveniences caused during the attempts to repair the steering column and the subsequent damages. Still Have Not Heard Back From Dealer
by Paulderman on 11/24/2018Car now starts and runs well or so we thought but on the first chilly day we found that it has no heat! Supposedly there was a multipoint inspection of the vehicle to make sure it ran great. After spending a bit less than a thousand dollars… on a repair you would think it would run properly! Tech did not correctly diagnose issue (3 days later low oil pressure light came on and had to bring it to my mechanic) Liberty claimed I needed trans. lines, but the issue was a leaking oil… filter housing. They also claimed they couldnt test drive it without plates. They are a car dealership! They have dealer plates!!! I brought my complaints up to the service and even general manager and had to leave several messages cause no one will call me back. TERRIBLEHi Michael, we're sorry to hear about your experience. I had a verbal agreement and even placed a deposit on a vehicle I wanted to purchase, but when it came time to do the paperwork the sales manager… said he never agreed to the price. I drove an hour and a half to purchase the vehicle and was met with deception and lies. Not to mention the sales manager was incredibly rude.Professional service, welcoming atmosphere

Joe Kerr was professional and knowledgable and made the process simple and efficient. The financial arrangements were made quickly and everyone… involved in the transaction treated me with the utmost courtesy. I felt very comfortable making the purchase.Shady!!!

After negotiating a deal on a used truck, they called us (while out of state on vacation) to say they couldn't hold the truck for us anymore. In the end after they played games with us for 4… days, it turned out that the General Manager wanted more money for the truck! We still bought it because we really wanted the truck, but they didn't do the oil change that was due, fix the thumping sound in the front end (we requested this twice) or fill the fuel tank. After buying 11 vehicles from dealerships, I have never bought one without the dealership filling the fuel tank. How do you get a vehicle GM Certified without changing the oil? I will NEVER have anything to do with this dealership again! If you do, BE CAREFUL!Let me tell you about the [violative content deleted] at Liberty Chevrolet
by camaroguy on 01/12/2010I placed an order for a car well over a month ago. They assured me they had "Plenty" of allocation to place the order with GM. Yet after 6 weeks, GM still did not have the order. They either lied about having allocation, or for some reason… they just weren't placing my order. But wait, you're thinking that it can take more than 6 weeks for an ordered car to come in? Yes, but my wait hadn't even started yet. I was still waiting to start waiting for the car. I was in line to get in line. So I found a nearly identical car in stock at a different dealership. I bought it. I told Liberty to cancel my order and refund my $2000 deposit. They refused. They said now they're going to be stuck with a car they don't want. A) You have to refund a deposit if you don't have a car. State law. B) There was no car, they didn't order the car yet, they weren't going to get stuck with anything. C) They wanted to keep my $2000. I get nothing, they DO nothing, they GIVE me nothing, they get my $2000. So of course my credit card company gave me the money back and is now dealing with the issue. It really makes you wonder, what did the people at this dealership hope to accomplish? Of course they were NEVER going to keep my deposit on an order they haven't even placed. If I took them to court, it would last all of 3 minutes and I'd win. They never had a real chance at keeping the money, all they've done is act like children, piss me off, and ensure that they get a bad review on yelp. Plus the credit card company may also charge them a fee for the chargebacks. I don't see the upside.Thank you, they just lost one more potential customer. :-)
BUYER BEWARE of Mr. Tony Chella, General Sales Manager of Liberty Chevrolet
by vjh1 on 07/18/2009BUYER BEWARE: On 6/18/09 we were told by Mr. Tony Chella, General Sales Manager of Liberty Chevrolet to give him the paperwork and the dealership would send a check for $299.00 and send it right out to us. The next day on 6/19/09 I even… called him to make sure he had all the proper documentation to process our check. He replied when I had him on the phone "I got the paperwork and have already given to my Accounts Payable person so they will send the check right out just like we agreed." Almost a month went by and still no check. So I called Mr. Tony Chella on 7/17/09 and asked him why we did not have our check? His reply was "We decided we are not to pay you." When I threaten legal action for this [violative content deleted], he said "Go ahead" IS THIS THE COMPANY YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR FAMILY'S 2ND LARGEST PURCHASE FROM?Not only is the sales Department of Liberty Chevrolet unethical as this customer experienced in trying to get their refund. The Service Department of Liberty Chevrolet is horrific as well. Their Service Department has no respect for the Customer or the Customer's time. I guess now that the U.S. Government has taken over GM Liberty Chevrolet has opted to run their business and Service Department like an inefficient Government bureaucratic Office. Don't buy from Liberty Chevrolet to save yourself the frustrations of dealing with this dealership and its inefficient unethical business practices and disrespectful ineffiient Serivice Department.
