I purchased my car from Nick Cutlip at Ourisman Mazda. After recently filing bankruptcy I was not expecting purchasing a new car to be a pleasant experience. Nick made the process quick and easy. He was thorough in his explanations and helped me to feel at ease with my purchase. He even coordinated the surrender of my current vehicle. I would definitely recommend him. After revisiting the Ourisman Dealership on January 3, 2018, my view has changed. All the questions I had about my vehicle were thoroughly answered and when I asked how could I cancel the GAP plan that I had purchased, I was told that I could fully receive my money back if I refinanced with my bank which is what I wanted to do when I purchased my vehicle. I have to give prompts to Jen (rep who explained my vehicle to me). He knew everything about my vehicle and made my experience with Ourisman much better. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to resubmit this survey. My overall experience with Ourisman is 9.

The best car buying experience

It was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Our salesperson Bijan K. was so professional and courteous from the very beginning. I inquired about a car they had in stock and Bijan responded the my emails on a timely manner even when he was not at the dealership. He had the car ready when we got to the dealership and we did they paperwork in no time and took the car home within an hour. Thank you Ourisman for having such a pleasant and honest salesperson working for you. I highly recommend this dealership

Exceptional Customer Service

I was very happy with the customer service of the sales representative and store manager during my recent Mazda purchase at Ourisman Mazda, Laurel. I had a limited time to make a purchase on the day of the test drive, and I appreciated how quickly they worked to help me through the purchase in as short a period of time as possible with consideration for my time constraints. Even better was when the salesman Karim B. took an extra hour and a half the following day, after I had already purchased the car, to go over the basics of operation that I did not have time for the day before. He went above and beyond to help me figure out the navigation, Bluetooth, and all of the other fun gadgets in the car as well as explain the operation and safety features. Karim is an excellent and personable salesman, and I recommend him for his customer service, attention, and ability to exceed expectations. With my experiences thus far, I will certainly be coming back to this Mazda dealership for service and likely future purchases as well. They are happy to accommodate customer requests and clearly strive for customer satisfaction.

Horrific After sales service

After the purchase of a new Maxzda CX-9 from this cardealer I have been saddled with problems with this vehicle. I have been to Ourisman Mazda with problems with a oil/fuel smell which was not diagnosed by the argumentative salesmen till the vehicle finally broke down on the highway 3 months after purchase. Till date the service department has not been able to fix the car and yet Mazda is refusing to replace the vehicle. l

Great Deal on a car..Great sales guy..After you buy the car..Nada

I loved my sales guy. Got a great car. Unfortunately after you leave that lot its very hard to get back in touch with anyone in the office if you need something. They will go to the ends of the earth for you to buy the car, but If you want anything after the purchase odds are you need to physically go back to the dealership because nobody will pick up their telephone. With past dealerships the salesmen acted as a single point of contact for any and all information you might need. Even though they are not in finance, or parts and repair etc they would take the time to go to the department in question and help facilitate the information. This is not the case here. In this location the buck is passed. It almost seems that each department is a fan of "not my job talk to this department" You find yourself calling and leaving messages that aren't really returned. Even went to the Ourisman website, sent an email under the "contact us" link.. no response. The only way to get in touch with them to get anything done is to go there yourself. Bottom line:This is not the place for you if you want someone to care about you after the car is purchased.

Good buying experience, but tainted by dishonest financing experience

I dealt with Preston in the internet sales department and he was very friendly and professional. I felt like we ended up with a fair price, and he was up front and honest about all pricing during the haggling stage of the transaction. However, the financing department was a different experience, they were pushy and deceitful. I was told that they offered an extended warranty from Mazda, so I agreed to sign up and think about it. When I got home I researched the extended warranty and found out it was a 3rd party warranty, not a Mazda warranty. I had asked the person in the finance department (Claudio) three times if it was offered by Mazda. I was skeptical because the name, "Fidelity warranty serice", not Mazda, was on the paper work. Bottom line: I would recommend this dealership and working with Preston. However, when it comes to financing and the extended warranty the discussion there was misleading, if not outright dishonest. Put up your guard and do any research before hand. Type in "Fidelity warranty complaints" in google and you will see a whole host of complaints, this warranty is NOT the same as a OEM Mazda extended warranty. Dealers make a lot of money on them, so they push hard to sell you this. Also, they will claim canceling is easy, but do not believe. I have been trying to cancel since the second day I bought the car and have been so far unsuccessful. I will just drop the car off and buy somewhere else if they refuse to honor the 30 day cancellation policy.

I recently made a return visit to Laurel Ourisman to purchase a used vehicle. I had previously met Ben Stark and had a good experience with him. He was helpful without being pushy. He worked with me according to my vehicle preferences. Upon finding the right vehicle, he did an excellent job of securing financing for me within my budget. I highly recommend that others obtain his help in purchasing their next vehicle. I'd rate Ben Stark 10 out of 10 in professionalism and service.

Great experience with internet sales manager Ben Stark

Ourisman's internet sales manager honored the bid from our buying service without trying to add any hidden fees. Although we live in Virginia, we chose to buy our Mazda5 minivan in MD based on the lowest bids received. Turns out that the Virginia car dealers can charge as high of a "document fee" as they want, while the MD dealers are limited to $100 max by law; the VA dealers usually tacked on $300 or more to the few bids we got. Most VA dealers failed to even bid. The three lowest bids came from dealerships in PG county. Upon arriving at Ourisman's, we asked to see the internet sales manager. We were directed to his desk without question. Ben, the manager, kept his on-line inventory up to date, he was very honest about the Mazda5 and he handled our purchase quickly and efficiently. He accompanied my wife on a test drive and treated her with respect, and patiently answering her questions. Having bought new cars in the past, I was prepared for the worst: an all-day affair filled with typical dealership tricks, faints, puffing, etc. Our 2-month old daughter accompanied us, so I was really dreading the buying experience. Ourisman's surprised us with how smoothly everything went - even giving us no trouble with the 0% factory financing. Lucky for us (and our daughter) we were in & out with our minivan in only a few hours. Ben even went out of his way to let the "pitch men" (sales men for the extended warranty, Lo-Jack & paint protection) know that we really were not interested, and both pitches went quickly. I never buy those sorts of dealer add-ons and Ourisman's did little to pressure us to buy these. Some of the option prices at Ourisman's were lower than as quoted on Edmunds (such as the wheel locks & floor mats - which we really did not want but that Mazda chose to include with every Mazda5 we saw in VA or MD). Only the delivery fee was a surprise - $670 vs $650 - but apparently all Mazda delivery costs had recently gone up in light of diesel prices. Overall, we were very pleased with how well the internet buying service worked. We were especially pleased with how we were treated by internet manager Ben Stark. I would buy another car from this dealership.

We will definitely purchase our next vehicle from Ben Stark. He is the manager of internet sales at Ourisman Mazda. He was incredibly nice and above all - He was not the slightest bit pushy!!! I called several dealerships in the area and it was all the same song and dance... No one except for Ben gave me a straight answer when I ask questions regarding the price. They all just wanted to know "when I was coming into the dealership to make a deal." He was able to give me a real OTD price without any hidden charges. He was kind and professional throughout the entire process. With the internet these days the car consumer is not a complete idiot. Don't be SOLD your next car. Do your homework and make an educated purchase.
