by Raza on 12/02/2018At 50k my car was not shifting smoothly from 2nd to 3rd and at exiting to 4th. I called the service department (spoke to Purvis Burke) and was asked to drop the car off for the entire day. I was not happy that no loaner vehicle options… were available and shuttle service radius did not cover my work/home location. So i was stuck with nothing to drive for one business day and arrange another person to do the drop off and pick up the car. I got a call from the Mr. Purvis at around 4pm the same day that the car has been fix. He explained that there was a Techinical Service Bulletin per Honda #17-043 that was due and the slippage and juddering issues now have been resolved. The vehical was driven 50 miles which was part of 3 stage transmission flushing process. The firmware was also updated at no cost. This service was performed at the manufacturer's expense and I was not charged for the work that was performed. I drove out of the dealership with my car now shifting like when i first bought the car. I am extremely happy about my experience with the service department so far. I look forward to not having the same issue again but if i do i will not hesitate to take my car in for service again. Another thing Honda Corp. also extended the powertrain warranty to 8 years 80k miles. Its great because this shows honda recognizes the issue and they are willing to stand behind it.Honda sensor
