  • They keep their words

5 out of 5 starsby PengChen on 04/02/2016

The biggest fear with negotiating a deal online is that you don't know whether you can actually get it at that price till the moment you arrive at the dealership. I got my best online quote from Kerry Mazda, but I have to drive 2.5hr and they knew it, which makes me worried. Kevin O'Brien, their internet sales, assured me over the phone that there will be no surprise. He sent me a list of documents that I need to bring in order to qualify for his offer. I took his words and asked my friend to drive me there. I have to say, they not only earned my business but also earned my TRUST! James Fox, their sales person in shop, is so professional and very kind, and he has everything ready even before I arrived. I am very happy with the purchasing process, so I changed my mind and decided to get an extended warranty from them. David gave me a very competitive price on the extended warranty as well, and I am still very happy about that decision. Overall, I am very happy about my new car, and the pleasant shopping experience makes it even better. I have encouraged my friends to do the business with them, no matter online or in the shop. They are the honest businessman we want to deal with!

  • CX5 for sure

I am happy with that car now and have been clearly advised by nice guys to support my need of a SUV for my family. As an expatriate with no credit history, they have been the only car dealers to accept a deal with me and I thank them for that. I thank Joe especially my dealer.

  • Thanks Jon!

After my Jeep was totaled, I was under so much stress to make a quick decision on a new vehicle. I was really torn between a car at Kerry Mazda and a car matching my rental car. Jon was amazing!!! He made it really hard to walk away from that Mazda3! I LOVE that car!! He is SO polite and respectful, beyond knowledgeable and patient! He made us feel like we mattered. In the end, I needed a vehicle that was a better fit for my family, but I HIGHLY recommend this dealership and please ask for Jonathon. You won't be sorry!!

We were looking for a SUV, Mazda was on our list to look at. I went first, my husband later. When we were both there, we were there for 2 or so hours. They appraised my car, wouldn't tell me the value; and took my info for a credit check, but wouldn't run it. Finally said I have plans, and asked for them to call if they found that the numbers did or didn't work. I didn't want to waste anymore time than I already had. 3 days later I called and talked to a manager. He said the salesman we had been working with was supposed to have called me that morning. When I said he hadn't called, he said he would him call. Another 2 days later the salesman called. I told him that I had been waiting several days for a call. He said he promised he wouldn't call me until Friday...the call came on Saturday, so not an excuse. Also, I called on Thursday and requested a call back, obviously (or not) it was fine to call me that day. He tried to argue that he had been doing what was asked and it wasn't his problem. I told him we went with another vehicle since Mazda seemed to not want to be bothered by us. I would recommend to look elsewhere, there are a lot of car lots around who are willing to help.

  • Buyer beware of small shop with 4 plus sales staff hanging around

    1.8 out of 5 starsby mjbennett9 on 03/26/2008

3/22/2008 • Talked me into 2007 by not being upfront on difference between 2007 & 2008 features. I said I wanted same features, but was told “only” difference is lower cost of 2007. In actuality, while the cost is the same (not less), there are more features available in 2008 and in the case of Oxmoor Mazda in Louisville, KY, they offer a Bose system and moon roof for same cost. While I asked about engine size, the salesman navigated the question well and I was led believe the two model years had the same engine. I could go on an on. • Steering was out of alignment as noticed on the way home. • Was told to call SAT Company to activate SAT radio. • Finance manager and sales person made a “supposed mistake” in entering the pay off amount (small but sneaky amount of $140) incorrectly so I would get billed for it later. They also did not break out the cash down amount like every other car purchase I’ve made (but did not catch this time). My finance company had a delay because of this as well. • Finance manager used high pressure sales to try and sell me after sales options such as fabric/paint protection, etc. that I told him upfront I did not want. He continued to run his mouth while my level of frustration rose. 3/23/2008 • Can’t prove it, but next day noticed a scratch on both the left and right side of car that was obscured by early evening darkness and parked next to other cars. • Drive side passenger door sticks open and closing. • Missing tabbed user guide (cheat sheet on car features). 3/25/2008 • Tried to make appointment with Kerry Mazda to fix out of alignment condition. Called sales rep and he didn’t have a clue if I was to pay for the repair on 200 miles odometer car. He said he’d get back to me but didn’t (poor post sales customer service; something they touted while trying to sell me the car). • Circumvented salesperson and called the service department directly only to get an answering machine several times. After several calls, I spoke with a person only to be told they are only open for oil changes on Saturday (not customer friendly hours). • Further, service could not tell me if the alighment would be covered under warranty. • Had enough incompetence and called Oxmoor Mazda (local) and was given quick and accurate info and they took me the very next day, although they did offer weekend service hours too. They said absolutely no charge, come on in…a far cry from the treatment I received at Kerry Mazda. 3/25/2008 • Tried to activate the SAT radio, but was told that I don’t have the installed equipment as salesperson (Nate Henry) indicated I did. • Called Kerry to talk to salesperson about his miscommunication to me on the SAT radio; he’s out today. • Called back and asked for a sales manager for same issue and was told they all were in a lengthy meeting and someone would get back to me. • Based upon experience with Car/Kerry Mazda already, I would recommend the car, but NOT the dealership. 3/26/2008 • Salesperson called me to apologize for his miscommunication attributed to his being a new salesperson (buyers should inquire how long their salesperson has been one and if they are fully versed in car features…ahead of the sale). He acknowledge there are differences between the years and that he was not fully versed in the satellite radio options (installed, versus post-sales). He said let him know what he can do to rectify the situation, but must have realized what I was going to ask next and said he could not obviously put in new radio, but I could call him any time for help. “Help” with what! Funny!
