  • A dissapointing experience. I'll be looking for my truck elsewhere.

    Salesman was pleasant, so was the manager, but the problems just kept stacking up. 1-- my wife finds a car she likes and we get the price down to my range. Manager says I'm killing him on price. Later I check the net and find that was about the sale price to begin with. 2-The manager offers to take better tires off another car and put them on this one to make the sale. No one including the techs advised that they were on larger wheels and didn't meet the cars specs. Another 40 mile trip to get it corrected. 3--Manager says the car was well maintained. when I finally see the carfax I find that the car was bought at auction, he had no way of knowing maintenance. 4-- We choose another car, told one owner with great maintenance. I guess that was correct as the carfax indicated it was a rental. 5--Manager waits until the deal is done, then tells us thay have only one key. Couldn't have told us upfront. Then they have the gall to charge me over 100 dollars for a basic key that i was told would run around 60 dollars. 6-- On returning for followup work, my wife is told that they found the other key, but they refuse to give the slightest reduction in price for the replacent for the key they lost and didn't tell us about until the deal was done.

    so I have bought a couple vehichles from this dealership over the last 5 years and had a good experience. I don't know if they have had a change in management or what but I've been trying for over a week to get some info from one of their four internet guys. I called the sales manager today who was less than excited at the opportunity to sell a $40k truck but he gave me an email address to send his guy a message. I did that this morning and still haven't heard back from them. Sad!
    • I haven't ever purchased a Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge and I haven't actually gone to talk to anyone at the Olathe dealership, so I don't know how good their onsite customer service is. I can say, that I put in a request for more information on their website earlier this morning and received a response within a couple hours. I had a couple more questions regarding the response I received, so replied to the e-mail, again I received a response within a couple hours. I am not sure who they directed you to, but I have been working with someone named Jeffrey.

    I bought a car from olathe dodge and had a price agreed upon. After hours of waiting to sign the contract and two kids in tow, we finally got to the contract. The dealership added $599 to the purchase price of the vehicle and didnt say a word about it, on top of the $299 doc fee that we knew about... the new amount very closely resembled the agreed upon amount (two numbers switched) and unfortunately we didnt notice until after we left the dealership. I called back the finance manager and was told those were all government fees and he would print out a breakdown for me. What I got was a sellers disclosure sheet that we did not sign that said fees are $599...not much of a help!!!! Needless to say, we are not happy! The contract is signed so Im sure there is nothing we can do about this.

    We saw an ad in the KC Star for a 2007 Suburban for $15,900. This seemed impossible, so we called to confirm that this was not a mistake. They assured us it was not, so we drove 45 minutes to test drive the car, prepared to buy it. We liked it and told them we would buy it. The salesman returned five minutes later and told us that someone else had come in while we were test driving it and they were buying it. We were disappointed. Several days later the ad was in the paper again for the same price. We called, and again it was for sale for the same price (they checked the stock number for us.) They all denied that it was a missprint. We told them what had happened to us the previous weekend and told them that we would be in after work to buy it. Then they put a manager on the phone, who told us that the ad was a missprint. Why the lies? And why was the "mistake" repeated??

    When looking for a used mini-van, the salesman, Randy H., did an excellent job on explaining all the operations of the vehicle accessories and operating computer components. He is done everything he said he would do in getting the vehicle ready and follow-up of any issues with the vehicle. The Finance Manager, Mark P., did an excellent job on the financing aspect of the purchase, along with the explaining of options for extended warranty coverage without high pressure to purchase it. I would return to the dealership and work with both of these gentlemen in the future. The service department has been extremely friendly and has taken care of any problems or issues found on the vehicle in a timely fashion. All staff we have dealt with on this purchase have been very friendly, professional, have done what they said they would do without high pressure and make a person feel they appreciate your business.

    Entire staff at ODCJ were the nicest most accommodating people of any business that I have dealt with anywhere! My salesman Mark S. was very knowledgeable about all of the products. Daniel(sales manager) was straight forward with the facts and numbers without playing games. Mark P. (finance manager) I felt went above and beyond to get me the best deal on financing available at the time. I would not hesitate to recommend these guy's to my family and friends when looking for an automobile. By far the most honest, genuine group of people in the car business!

    I have no complaints at all. The sales staff was courteous and helpful and very knowledgeable. They went out of their way to get the exact Jeep I wanted. Had it transported from out of state at no additional cost to me. The finance/business personnel treated me professionally without an over abundance of sales force regarding their extra cost programs like extended warranties, etc. Their deal was fair and I was introduced to their service manager before leaving with my new Jeep. Follow-up is satisfying as well - I sense a genuine concern on their part to keep me as a satisfied customer. I'm sorry some others felt they were mistreated but I sure wasn't. Thank you Olathe Dodge! I shall return.

    Sylvester is a dedicated professional and to the people he is offering high quality customer services to. Sylvester is on top of his game and there is nobody that he wouldn't help. A driven, ambitious individual with an infectious enthusiasm. Highly recommend to all others, and I see Sylvester to be an invaluable asset to any department at Olathe Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram!

    Had a great experience at Olathe DCJR. Worked with Daniel W. for our purchase, and he was very helpful, professional, and understanding. Buying a new car can be SUCH a tedious process, so it was great to work with people who seemed to understand that. Thanks to Daniel, Reggie and the whole sales team over in Olathe!

    I was referred to Greg D. at Olathe Dodge Chrysler Jeep three weeks ago by a client of mine. Though it shouldn't matter when making a major purchase such as a car, most car dealers treat single, educated, females with little merit. After needing a new car for sometime and spending many hours comparing various makes and models of cars, I decided it was time to take the leap. I called Greg at the suggestion of my client, told him what I wanted, set an appointment and the experience was flawless. Due to my work schedule, I had literally a two hour window to deal with buying a car at anytime in any week. Greg and the dealership were accommodating to my hours, there was no pressure to do anything different from what I set as my goals and expectations of a new car and the payment. When my only hesitation was that I had wanted a moon/sun roof Greg made it happen! In less than two hours I had driven, financed and signed papers on a 2013 Chrysler 200 Limited with a sun roof to be installed. How much easier could that have been. Seriously! I will continue to drive 30 miles to this dealership for service even though there is a dealership less than 5 miles from my home. Both Greg and Jon David in the finance department were awesome, and much appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone at anytime.

    I recently purchased a new Avenger from Olathe Dodge, and I couldn't have been happier with their team. Everyone that I dealt with was knowledgable and straight forward. Didn't get any run-around, and the overall experience was great. Will be going back in the future even though I live just a few blocks from another Dodge dealer.

    I went to ODCJ to look at used cars. The salesman, Jerry Lee Darnell, was very helpful in showing me all the used cars they had meeting my criteria. Then he informed me of a sale they had going on with they New 2012 car that fit my needs. Originally not wanting to buy a 'New' car, I told him I would think about it and went home. He was very helpful but not pushy or aggressive at all. He was more concerned that I would be happy with my choice. A few days later he called me to let me know they had dropped the price again on the 'New' car, but again not pushing... just notifying. In the end, I ended up purchasing the 'New' car from ODCJ and couldn't be happier....especially with the salesman - Jerry Lee Darnell.

    I have purchased many cars in my life time both new and used. I have worked selling both New and used cars, and I have never treated or put forth the attitude that I get at your dealership! I am sick and tired of hearing " all car makers have this issue" or " that's normal." Other than my own cars, I owned a detail shop for 10 years and worked with dealerships as well as wholesalers and the general public, so I know that I am being fed a line of crap every time it gets said!!! This is by far the WORST car experience I have ever had and your dealership has been absolutely horrible to deal with! It is clear that a vehicle marked CERTIFIED is nothing more than a sales gimmick!! I now understand why you have to get people comment while they are still at the dealership, because chances are that is the only time people are feeling well about their purchase.

    This was my 44th car I have purchased. I purchased a new RAM 1500. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and I got a very good deal. The only thing I would suggest to the dealership is to tighten the process so that it doesn't take 3 hours to complete a deal. We agreed on price in less than 30 minutes and then spent three hours in the dealership waiting around. Then after all that time they hadn't detailed the truck properly or put the 30 day tag on the vehicle and I had to return after going home without a tag. Overall I am very satisfied with the dealership. Time will tell on the service side of the dealership.

    Puhleeze make a U-turn and go somewhere else! I purchased a brand new Challenger off the show room floor. The very unqualified driver dented and scratched the car while driving it off the show room floor. We brought it home very late and it went straight into the garage. I brought it out the very next morning to take pictures and found dents ALL over the car, which the sales manager accused us of doing. This man actually made me cry. It appears the technician putting on the stripes did it and admitted to it. But still no apology. This car has been in the "shop" there probably 4 or 5 times, totalling over three weeks. My key fobs don't work correctly, missing something for the stereo/GPS, and just so many, many more issues with this stupid car. I wish I had never purchased it, or at least from them. It has been 2 or 3 months that I have had it now, and yet again, it's going back to the shop tomorrow to have things fixed on it that shouldn't even exist in the first place, considering it's a new car, and Chrysler says they don't know how to fix a certain problem I have with my car because the technology is so new. Well then, why install it if you can't troubleshoot and solve the problem and have a very disgruntled customer. Folks, I implore you not to purchase from this dealership. If you can avoid it at all, just don't buy a dodge. Trust me, if I had it to do all over again, this entry wouldn't exist. ...a very, very, very unhappy purchase. Not customer, because I'll never buy from there again. No matter how nice Albert was.

    I chose to do business with Olathe Dodge because they flat out offered a better deal than nearby competitors. I ended up with a better equipped vehicle for the same price that others were offering. They also gave me twice what I was being offered for my trade in. The sales staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything went quite well. I am very pleased with this dealership so far.

    Great Sales person Derik Law. I had a very long day and it could have went much faster. But I got the car I wanted at a fair, but not great price. Felt comfortable, and liked the inventory they have.

    My sales person was Terry Hines. The experience was awesome! He listened to my needs and my wish list and found the perfect car for me. He made me feel that what I was looking for was more important that him just making a sale. I highly recommend Terry Hines. I will add that the GM, Mr. Briggs also gave me the same treatment. Thanks ODCJ! I still LOVE my 2009 Avenger RT! mc

    Jerry Lee Darnell, sales rep. at Olathe DCJ is the only sales person who contacted me at least 3 times since our first meeting, doing his utmost best to find the right vehicle for our needs. And when he did find us the daily driver (a Mazda 3i) we were looking for, he did an excellent job of explaining all the features and going through them with us on the spot. When it came to negotiations, he also did a fantastic job of giving us the best price, yet ensuring that the dealership and he got a fair profit and commission, respectively. We were totally satisfied with our experience with him and Olathe DCJ and would wholeheartedly recommend any friends requiring vehicles to visit them.
