We always have. Top shelf sales experience with Jim Jarvis and the team at Stoops. Value and excellent choice of options on gmc cars and trucks!

  • Disappointed

    1 out of 5 starsby 3RunHomers on 10/22/2019

Lease payment dealer quoted me was more than $300 over what the Edmunds site suggests for an of model year ‘19 Acadia. I had a trade in an ‘18 Chrysler 300 that Stoops appraiser found ridiculous negative comments to make about. To be that far off from an online tool is a joke. An Acura dealer quoted a lease payment on a ‘19 MDX $300 less than the Acadia! Second bad experience at Stoops; we will not be going back. Oh, and the salesman decides to light up a smoke as we’re looking at vehicles. Class act.

  • Purchasing used vehicle

Stoops salesman Ryan Fawley was very professional, friendly and kind. Looking for a good used vehicle is difficult to start with, but, Ryan was genuine and honest about the vehicle we were evaluating and he provided timely information so that we could make an informed decision. I highly recommend Stoops Buick and GMC in Plainfield, IN

  • Great

5 out of 5 starsby TouringtheUSA on 07/21/2016

Eric my service advisor and the mechanic did a great job. Between me giving them a TSB regarding a noise I had been hearing in the engine compartment and the mechanic trouble shooting the mystery noise they solved the problem to my satisfaction. I had had the car in once before thinking it was a transmission issue based on hearing the noise between the 1 to 2nd shift and third. They have always been quick to address and solve any issues.

  • Best Experience Ever

5 out of 5 starsby KSHEdmunds on 04/14/2016

I had a friend of mine that bought a car from Stoops recommend going there. I am glad I did. I bought a Verano they had on special. They even got me a better rate than my credit union. AAA+++. I am a customer for life.

  • Great buying experience

5 out of 5 starsby jenachristinel on 05/17/2015

This was my second buying experience in the past year-- and each experience has been WONDERFUL. The entire staff I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating (especially with my almost 2 year old terrorizing their showroom). Chuck sold me a 2015 Yukon Denali a year ago-- but with our growing family, we need more room. The buying experience with Chuck was phenomenal upgrading to the 2015 Yukon XL Denali.

  • Did not honor online quote! Bait and Switch!

    1 out of 5 starsby dealerreview1 on 06/12/2014

We went to Stoops to purchase a new Verano 6/12/14. Before going we conducted our research and used their online program to negotiate a price. We printed the price off and took it in the next morning. The Sales Manager Jim said we were the first to use the program and that he would not be able to honor the price and that it would be $2,000 more than the quoted price. Jim became very irritated when I said "this is a bait and switch" and got up and left. I asked for the general manager (another Jim) and he was "out of town" for the day. Do not deal with the dealership as they are not honest in my opinion. They gave a quoted price in black and white and then said they would not honor it. They are deceptive in their advertising, the sales manager is very rude, and they would not honor their quoted price.
  • The right place and the right salesman

After several years of owning used cars with no payments we decided to take the plunge and purchase a new vehicle. My wife and I looked at a couple of dealerships in the Plainfield In. area then we were going to go up to Fishers to look but we were reluctant to travel so far since we live on the westside. Then we remembered seeing Stoops Buick GMC so we called them and talked to Steve W. We went in and asked for Steve and could not have been any more pleased with our experience. Steve was the perfect fit for my wife and I. As I said, we were hesitant to buy but had our eyes on a new SUV having owned one some years ago. Steve helped us through the selection of a GMC Terrain which we had been seeing on the road and really liked. There was no pressure to buy, only helpful advice and eagerness to answer all our questions.
  • Bad Experience Turned Out Good - But Beware Of Hateful F&I Guys!!

I was extremely upset when I wrote this review - to say the least! I got a call from Zach the next day and he was very apologetic for what happened during my visit. I genuinely feel that he is a good guy who made a mistake - so I accepted his apology. They dropped the options I didn't want, brought my loan rate way down ... so I returned and bought it. Zach handled the transaction with minimal paperwork - so no shady games [non-permissible content removed] in F&I (unfortunately I forgot his name, but his office is the first one on the left). That's what I wanted all along and I forgive Zach now. I realize that F&I reps get a big commission for selling extended warranties, paint protection, manipulating the loan rate, etc. But THIS F&I guy left a bad impression that I cannot forget. Like I said, as soon as he was aware that I wanted the bare minimum beyond the ordinary fees, his professionalism went out the window. Just "sign here ... and here...and initial here..." was all he had to say. If I inquired into any line on the sheet, he would sigh and pick up the phone looking for Zach. I don't care if he gets paid a handsome sum or absolutely nothing, he is one of the last faces a customer sees and he represents the company through his every action. As hateful as he was, he needs to be removed form having contact with customers. I went to this dealer because of the price of the vehicle. But I expected them to have a staff similar to their competitors who I am familiar with through friends. If the managers of this practice let the F&I guy get away with this kind of childish behavior, I'm sure that attitude permeates the business deeper than I probed. For that reason, for all of my new car servicing, I will go to the dealer closer to my home who I KNOW runs a tight ship and treats EVERY customer with professionalism and kindness. In their business, one goal is to keep you coming back for service and new or used cars in the future. They failed.
    • Thank you for your review and allowing Zach and Stoops Buick-GMC another chance. We really appreciate that you did return and purchase the Yukon. We have taken your review to heart and would like to apologize on behalf of everyone here and ask you to contact me personally to discuss this issue further @ 317-268-7102. Respectfully, Jim Meyers, General Manager.

  • Great Experience for a single female

Wanted to Thank a young man Dan Cope for his help with getting me in a new car. As a single female and walking in a car dealership I have always felt fear of being treated like I did not know what I wanted or what I was doing. But working with Dan on line and then going to see him, I felt like I was talking to a friend. He helped me find the car that I wanted and in my budget with a warranty that would best fit my needs. Thank you Dan for being professional and courteous.

I went to Stoops to test drive a used Terrain. The salesman went on some marketing speal about the advantages of nitrogen filled tires. Now I'm a mechanical engineer and know a bit about gasses and thermodynamics. The theoretical advantages of N2 do not bear out in practice. My wife asked me if the salesman was correct. I called bull[non-permissible content removed]. That offended the salesman and he abruptly left letting my wife and I conduct our own test drive. When we returned, impressed with the car, the owner told me he didn't like how I spoke to the salesman and asked us to leave. So we left. A note, I was answering my wife and not speaking directly to the salesman. Aparently these people don't want to deal with an educated person and work fairly. Shame for them, that car was quite nice and we may have bought it. Instead we purchased a Ford Edge from Bill Estes about an hour later.
