He was absolutely fantastic and willing to work with us. He even went as… far as giving my kids a gift to take with them. We couldn't have been happier. We got the exact car we've always wanted. He was so genuine & extremely knowledgeable which made putting my trust in him almost effortless. From beginning to end, never was I so impressed by… a car salesman!!! Everyone at the dealership was so welcoming & friendly which alleviated a lot of the stress I had upon arriving. They make you feel like family which allows peace of mind. Fantastic customer service and pricing
by rsonam83 on 06/13/2016I loved my experience at Phillips! I called Phillips Chevrolet last minute to look at a new car that was at the Frankfort location. They brought it right over before I even arrived to the Lansing location. My salesman, Barth Eastman,… cordially met me in parking lot and escorted me inside to my waiting vehicle. He offered me a drink and a snack and got things done quickly. I met the dealer principal Mike Maheras and the general sales manager Mark Catuara. Both came over to meet me and welcome me, even in the middle of a busy Saturday! While waiting for finance, King explained accessories without pushing anything on me, and then I met with Angel Santana who helped me in finance. Barth, and the entire Phillips staff were overwhelmingly hospitable and helpful. I live 120 miles away, and would come back without a doubt for my next vehicle purchase. Thanks everyone! And I love my new 2016 Impala LTZ. Classiest looking and smoothest ride on the road! Pure professionalism and definitely broke the stereotype of pushy salespeople. Tj took the time to explain any questions I had, he treated me like family and even after the sale was final he… continued to call and make sure I was happy or if I needed any assistance or questions. Most dealerships don't go that extra mile after the deal has been finalized. Excellent Experience and Customer Service
by barrywhite1 on 06/06/2016I visited Phillips Chevrolet for a service visit because my tracker was having a few odd issues. I started my day off at the facility at 9:15 and roughly 10 hours later I was driving a new 2016 Malibu. The 10hrs was not due to the lack… of customer service, but it was filled by an experience that I will never forget. I was curious about a vehicle on the lot and I went to the service counter to get more information. While at the desk, I was assigned a sales representative. His name was Jamaal Woodson. Jamaal provided the information that I requested, but during this interaction, he was very relatable and honest regarding the repair I was considering on my 15yr plus vehicle. During this day, we test drove several cars, and he exhibited a vast knowledge on all of them. When I began the process of reviewing my options, he was very patient and kind. Also, we worked with a gentleman by the name of Phil Jarad. Phil was a very integral part in completing his process. He worked very hard with the bank to get the best price on my behalf. During the visit, I was able to meet the owner and everyone that was apart of the staff was quite friendly. They continuously asked how was my visit going, and if I needed anything. Once the final paperwork was completed, I met with Henry King and Mark Hawkins. Although the day was very long, it was one of the best customer experiences that I have every had. I just want to thank everyone at Phillips Chevrolet for all of their help and assistance during this process. A special thank you to Mr. Woodson for taking the time to explain and address all of my concerns during this visit.Barry, thank you for the outstanding review! We appreciate your kind words! Walked into dealership with questions and Mike didn't hesitate to assist me. Made me aware that I would leave with the car I… wanted, of the color I wanted and for the price I wanted. Before buying I was back and fourth betweens several dealerships and I can honestly say that my best experience and price was at Phillips Chevy. The staff did everything… they could to take care of me from my salesman Jamaal to the manager Mark. The sale was not pressured and I was comfortable the entire process. The worked with me and my situation and were kind, easy going and great to do business again. Jamaal was very knowledgeable and worked extremely hard to make sure that I was getting what I wanted out of my new truck. When they quote a price they honor the price!
by bigarb on 05/16/2016I inquired on a vehicle though internet sales from the Phillips website. Their internet price was approximately $500 less than any other dealer for the same exact car within 75 miles of my home. When comparison shopping, another dealer… located a few miles from my house, told me that the dealer (Phillips) won't honor their quoted price and that you will waste a trip - and that they are only quoting that price to get you in the door. So I traveled 35 miles from Elmhurst (where I have 2 other Chevy stores less than 10 miles from my house) to see if Phillips would honor the price. They did honor the internet quote and I was able to negotiate a slightly better price with my salesperson Troy (and the rest of the sales managers). The experience was a pleasant one - and everyone I met were not like the typical car dealer "types". Henry in the accessories/aftermarket team worked out a fair deal on a vehicle protection plan. And the Finance experience was highly streamlined. Overall, buying a car is never a "fun" process, but these guys walked the talk, and minimized the normal and expected games that occur at many dealers. I am very happy with my experience at Phillips and will recommend others to give them a chance to earn their business.Thanks for your outstanding review!! Amazing!!
by jazz2_u on 05/11/2016I am not into bashing other companies however I went to a Hyundai dealer near where I live and the experience was horrific. I spent 4 days with them just to not receive a car. I got a news paper on Friday and saw Chevy had a special for… their new Trax. So Saturday morning I went there and was greeted by Mike Stramaglia and from there it went AMAZING!!!. I mean this guy went above and beyond making sure I was comfortable with the car I was getting and make sure he stayed on top of things. He and his manager Justin worked together to get me a good deal since the Trax I seen in the paper had already been purchased. I was on a fixed amount due to what I was approved for and they worked their magic. Mike was very patient throughout the entire process. I know everyone says they never write reviews however I never have until now. Mike was not the kind of sales person that hounds you or play games so that he could benefit from it like most dealerships. He had my best interest in mind and he delivered as promised. I definitely recommend going here, everyone is so friendly and kind, they definitely put their customer's first. Please see Mike when you do :)Thank you for your fabulous review!! Both men exhibited professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail. Having taken the car on… a road trip down the Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor this weekend, I could not be more pleased with the "ride" of the Red Hot LS model!! I definitely got my "Kicks on 66" !!!!! Both salesmen have made several follow-up calls to determine my satisfaction which I appreciate. Tom Kernagis put together a package on the warranty protection and made a believer out of me with his thorough "numbers" dialogue. I am going in today to the Service Department for a protection treatment of the exterior and interior of the vehicle..I know I will be in good hands with Scott P whose expertise is evident! by bankerguy1974 on 05/07/2016Phillips Chevrolet was very good to me during my car buying experience. My wife and I came in just to look. Mike Stramaglia came out to ask if we had any questions. We told him we were just looking. He let us know if we had any… questions to let him know and he then let us look. This low pressure was great. Then we went in to ask questions. He was very helpful. Even though we were not ready to buy he spent a lot of time with us. Then we went home to do research and found out that the price on the car was the lowest in the area.
