Dealership Sales Review
I inquired on a vehicle though internet sales from the Phillips website. Their internet price was approximately $500 less than any other dealer for the same exact car within 75 miles of my home. When comparison shopping, another dealer located a few miles from my house, told me that the dealer (Phillips) won't honor their quoted price and that you will waste a trip - and that they are only quoting that price to get you in the door. So I traveled 35 miles from Elmhurst (where I have 2 other Chevy stores less than 10 miles from my house) to see if Phillips would honor the price. They did honor the internet quote and I was able to negotiate a slightly better price with my salesperson Troy (and the rest of the sales managers). The experience was a pleasant one - and everyone I met were not like the typical car dealer "types". Henry in the accessories/aftermarket team worked out a fair deal on a vehicle protection plan. And the Finance experience was highly streamlined. Overall, buying a car is never a "fun" process, but these guys walked the talk, and minimized the normal and expected games that occur at many dealers. I am very happy with my experience at Phillips and will recommend others to give them a chance to earn their business.
