Great! So calm and easy going!

Yay! 5 Stars! I’ve been car shopping off and on for 6 months, I’ve watched hours of car reviews on you tube and talked to tons of owners on Facebook groups, test drove new and used, sedans, crossovers and finally Outback’s.
I was close to… buying about 4 different vehicles over the last 3 months but the sales people and finance managers soured my taste for even wanting to buy anything from a dealership.
I was able to get a email quote and set up a time to test drive the different trims with Gabriel Talpos. He was with a customer when I arrived and with in a minuet I was asked if I needed help unlike some dealers.
Jeff Schade showed me all about the Outback’s and patiently answered all my questions and we even got to experience some Subaru like down pours. It was close to closing so I came back Saturday to try the Wilderness and it checked all the boxes, plus for me it had the most amazing acceleration of all the outback trims.
Jeff was super patient and not pushy at all, the managers made a great offer that I didn’t even have to bargain for. The last part Finance managers.. always so scary. I worked with Chris Thomas, he was super pleasant! Quick and not pushy either, very friendly. I’ve never ever had a finance manager expierence that didn’t leave me with dread and being pushed around.
Everyone I met at Grand Subaru was friendly and I can’t say enough about how different this dealership is for the better. I recommend you give them a shot and test drive some Subarus, they definitely don’t get the attention they should!

by Grand Subaru and Anthony L on 11/08/2022I worked with Anthony LaPorte on a 2014 Buick Lacrosse Premium AWD they had on the lot. I stopped in on Monday about 4:30-5pm. Everything started off great, he had the car all ready for me, he was friendly and professional, and we took… the car out for a test drive. The car gave me a Driver Assist Service Needed Warning during my Test drive. Once back at the dealership, the CarFax report said on 04/13/2021 the Transmission was serviced and again on 05/22/2021. Then Grand Subaru noted 09/13/2022 the transmission was "Seeping" on their Used Car Inspection. I was advised the Transmission issue had been "addressed". That evening, I gave Anthony my purchase offer, however the service department and the Used Car Sales Manager were not in to address my questions, concerns nor my offer amount. So I arranged with Anthony to come back the next day about 12:30pm, providing we had addressed all the issues I gave him the evening prior and agreed on the purchase terms by 11:30am, when I had a ride available to drive me to the Dealership 45 mins away. At 11:20a is when he updated me. He made zero attempt to address my concerns, he gave me the same answers he had the evening before. They were not going to address any issues nor do anything on the price at this point. The service department would not talk to my mechanic nor give me any details of where the transmission was "seeping" (which means, to anyone except them, it IS leaking just not a lot) nor what they did to "address" the issue. They would not offer any warranty (I requested 30 days in writing and signed) on the transmission leak (since they claim it's been addressed, this shouldn't have been an issue on a car with 117K miles on it). I said I was out of the deal and wanted a refund on my deposit. Only then did a Manager offer me $300.00 off their asking price and tried to do a sales fast talk to me. Than they told me I was being unreasonable because I wasn't getting what I wanted from them (I never cursed nor yelled, I just held firm on my purchase terms and that hurt their feelings). To add to the situation, I back in the market to purchase a new to me car. While searching, the car came up again 4 hours after I backed out of the deal, they dropped their price another $100.00, below what they offered me. I will give them one credit, they did refund my $500.00 deposit, in full, within an hour or so. I was pleased with that from them.Best car buying experience

Nealy was very great help to me and the whole process from start to end. She is a very… nice, kind and professional sales person. Her colleagues were also very nice and helpful to me. I am so beyond thrilled with my experience and the brand new car i have now. I highly recommend this place. Subaru makes great cars and offers great service. This is my first Subaru and the other two brand of cars i have driven prior don't even come close to the quality and professionalism as Subaru does. Go Subaru!!Best new car purchase

Ramon was professional, courteous and helpful. He contacted me… when he thought he had the right one until he found one that I liked. Throughout the process Ramon was patient, quick to respond, and always answered my questions. Overall, the process was pleasant and satisfying. I got the car that I wanted and at a reasonable price. I rate Ramon and Grand Subaru highly and would purchase from them again.Very friendly and not pushy.

I’ve leased two cars with them and both times, their first offer was significantly lower than the dealerships close to my home. They… are all friendly and comfortable. I walked in undecided about which car I was going to get and left the dealership with car and new lease is under two hours. Car dealerships should look to Grand Subaru for best practice in customer service!Great internet sales manager.

I don't know the whole dealership, but if I needed more car help I would go to this dealership just to work with him… again. Very quality service.Good until I was sold a worthless product

However, I purchased Zurich Shield protection as I was told it would replace chips and cracks for years, and since the Subaru's have the double cameras behind the windshield which… would require special alignment of the glass, it would be way cheaper to have the insurance. I liked this idea, since my drive to work every day is often behind gravel trucks. So, what happened the first time I got a chip and subsequent crack in my windshield? I was told that they do not cover cracks over 6 inches! What crack ever stays shorter than 6 inches? They grow! In summary, I was treated very nicely while at this dealership, but I am fairly disgusted with being sold a worthless product. I also just learned that the 2 Subaru dealers closer to me do not sell the ZurichShield product. It's not difficult to see why.Need a new car

by Adam on 09/05/2021This was my first time buying a new vehicle and it happened to be at the worst possible time with how crazy the market was (is). Lou got in contact with me regarding the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek I expressed interest in and helped me lock in… the financing I wanted early on as the car was not arriving until late the next month. Lou was great at communicating with me in a very timely manner via text, phone, and email, sending me updates on the status of the car and getting me ready to purchase it once it had arrived. Overall very positive buying experience for my first time. Andrew the finance manager was also a very big help when I went through that process of the car purchase. Very easy to talk to and explained everything in way that was easy to understand. I initially purchased an extended warranty however later decided I wanted to cancel it. I was extremely stressed out about this as I know these things can get complicated to cancel. Andrew, however, gave me his phone number and I sent him a text on a Sunday (long weekend too) explaining I'd like to cancel it. I was not expecting to hear back until a few days later as well as expecting to be pitched another offer or deal but that was not the case. Andrew responded that day stating that it was no problem and he would take care of it, end of story. I immediately felt a huge sigh of a relief with how professional he was in handling this situation as I've read horror stories online from other dealerships handling similar situations. Can't say enough good things about this dealership. If you need a Subaru in the Chicagoland area I highly recommend the team here at Grand Subaru.
