Two separate visits recently, one to buy a part and one to buy a used car. The people were friendly and professional. Great service, etc.

  • Extremely Disappointed with Ed Voyles Kia Service Department

1 out of 5 starsby Gaby Sanjurjo on 02/01/2024

My extreme dissatisfaction with the service department at Ed Voyles Kia is 100% warranted. I purchased a 2020 KIA Telluride from them, and while everything was initially fine, my recent experience has been disappointing. The check engine light in my vehicle prompted a visit to the service department, where it took three days to diagnose a need for a new transmission. The replacement process is quoted to take 1-4 weeks, and the dealership lacks a loaner program, leaving me without a vehicle. The assistant service manager's response, claiming it's a Kia Corporate problem and suggesting I handle it personally by renting a vehicle and seeking reimbursement, is unacceptable. This would cost me an estimated $1,300. As a loyal customer facing a significant warranty-covered repair, I expected better service. The dealership's refusal to provide a reasonable solution is disappointing, especially considering the potential for future business. I hope my feedback prompts a reconsideration of their customer service approach.

BUYER BEWARE! Terrible customer service is an understatement! To sum up my long story and utterly despicable experience at this facility, they do not call you back. If you want to know what's happening with your car YOU will literally have to pester them to get information on your car repair progress. Next, they charged over $1000 dollars more than their initial estimate WITHOUT A HEADS-UP ON THE UPCHARGE. I literally found out about at the time I was checking out!! The next day, I was told a refund would be issued but have not been given that info as of yet. I think the refund was contingent on my Yelp review being modified! And finally, to add insult to injury, the check engine light came on less than 24 hours after I picked up my car (which had just had a brand new engine installed)!!! I have to return to this dealership to have the repairs done again or incur more charges at a different Kia dealership!! Do yourself a favor. Use my experience and comments as a cautionary tale, FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO SERVICE YOUR CAR!!!

  • Worst service experience in along time.

I took my Stinger in for 10,000 mile service and to get the second oil change. When I dropped it off at 9:20 for my 9:30 Am appointment Justin told me after asking where I should wait to go thru the door/hall to waiting area. I did that and then proceeded to wait. I fully expected to Wait at least an hour or maybe an hour and a half, I did not expect to wait 3 hours, and then go to Justin’s service desk area, for him to be eating a cookie at his desk and to tell me oh yeah it’s done, I looked for you and didn’t see you. I had chosen a chair off to the right near showroom, In a grouping of four and table. So I could do some reading on my pad for work. I guess that must have been to far for Justin to walk. So I went back to area I was sitting and asked a sales person to get a manager, which he did. The manager went over service ticket and said they would call me concerning another separate issue I had with my car. I said I was very unsatisfied that Justin had let me set there waiting when the car was finished. He said well Justin had tried Texting me...which he had not...I once again let him know I was unhappy with the service experience. When I purchased the car I had to think twice about buying another KIA...having had poor experience either the service department of another KIA dealership... Allen my salesperson assured me at the time of purchase that wouldn’t be the case. Guess what WRONG!! It’s really a shame because I love my car and think KIa Design Team has done a wonderful job. But hopefully they will soon get their Service Team to catch up.

  • VERY DISSAPPOINTED

First of all I want to say I never have anything bad to say about service workers, but I have to say when I walked into Ed Voyles service department today, I talked with a service advisor by the name of Cedric. He is the rudest and most narcissistic person, I have ever come across at this dealership. I have been here a number of times and never experienced how I was talked to by this guy. I simply explained what I wanted done with my car to trade it at Ed Voyles and he talked to me like I was an idiot! He looked very unprofessional with his hat turned backwards as well! I am surprised Ed Voyles would allow this. I will not return here for trading or to have service again. I wanted to speak to the manager, but was told by CEDRIC he is unavailable.

My experience with Ed Voyles Kia of Chamblee was excellent! My service advisor was Daniel Martin. He made my experience stress free and pleasant. I will come back anytime I need to as long as Mr., Martin is my advisor. Honest and trustworthy

I wanted to take a minute and give an excellent review on service I received at Ed Voyles service department. I was greeted promptly walking through the door, walking in without an appointment. I was unsure I could have issues with my car looked at the same day. Daniel Martin was the Service Advisor who went above and beyond to help me with my car. I am very grateful to Mr. Martin, if it wasn't for his knowledge and personable manner, I am sure I would have been stranded in no time on the highway. anyone reading reviews, take not, Ed Voyles Kia and Mr. Martin are the ones to go to when you have issues with your car. I will return when needed and always ask for Mr. Martin

  • Horrible commumication!!!

1 out of 5 starsby Jess on 11/09/2017

I gave them my car over a week ago. They said it would be ready by Saturday. Saturday rolls around, and I haven't heard anything. I call them, and they tell me that my parts haven't been placed. Then they said it would take another two days. Didn't hear back from them. Called back at the end of the day that they said I should pick it up again. They said the parts didn't come in. Needed to wait two more days. I just called at 4pm today when I'm supposed to pick it up for the third time, and the parts still haven't come in! Nobody bothered to tell me this until I call at the end of the day when I'm supposed to pick up my car for the THIRD time.
  • Lost a customer

    1 out of 5 starsby Lost_a_Customer on 06/23/2017

Check engine light activated on my 2012 Kia Optima. Took it to Ed Voyles where it's had most of it's service and they checked the codes and told me it was the fuel pump. I made an appointment for the following day. They called just a hour before the appointment to obtain the warranty information. I was put on hold as they said they needed to check to see if they had the part available. Once back on the line they said they did not have a part and that it would be Tuesday before they could get one as it was being shipped from out of state because there are no fuel pumps in the state of Ga. I called another dealership within 15 minutes of Ed Voyles who had the part and an open appointment today. Up to this point I have always enjoyed the great service I have been provided. I wish I would have be treated better.
  • A note of acknowledgement and appreciation for your service team

    5 out of 5 starsby Andrew_Atlanta on 05/23/2015

I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge and express appreciation for the outstanding customer care that I received from several members of your team earlier this week (RJ Lewis, Service Advisor; Tom Smith, Tech; Brian Johnson, Shop Foreman). In recent weeks I brought my 2004 Kia Sorrento to a local repair shop close to my home where I normally have maintenance and oil changes done on the vehicle. The vehicle was creating a whirring and popping noise on a recurring basis when I would enter into turns, or go in reverse. Additionally, the speedometer stopped functioning and the check engine light came on. The local repair shop diagnosed various things going on, ultimately treating each of the matters in isolation. When I picked up my vehicle when it was ready, I drove it for less than 24 hours and all of the issues I had brought the vehicle in for reoccurred and the steering was becoming tight on occasion. I contacted the repair shop to ask them if they had even done the work they billed for. They had, but said to bring the vehicle back in so I did. When I picked up the vehicle the second time it was ready, it drove fine for the first day. The next day, Saturday, all of the original issues reoccurred. At this point, I was livid, could not trust the work of the repair shop. I chose to take the rest of that Saturday going to recommended shops and dealerships to ask for a mechanic to ride in the vehicle with me and put the vehicle on a rack to see what they would assess the issue was. Ultimately, on that Saturday and the next Monday I visited 3 other recommended service shops and Ed Voyles Kia Service Center. At Ed Voyles Kia Service Center, yur Service Advisor, RJ, took the time to listen to the situation, and your technician, Tom, spent time that afternoon in the vehicle with me to hear the noise and then look at the car on the rack. When the vehicle was on the rack, your Shop Foreman, Brian, and your technician, Tom, went what I would consider to be above and beyond what would normally be expected to investigate the situation and land on what two of the other three shops had indicated – there was an internal failure in the transfer case that was causing the noise and the shearing of the speedometer gear (which then triggered the speedometer to malfunction and the check engine light to come on). Beyond diagnosing the issue correctly, your team also fully understood and cared that due to the experience in recent weeks with the local repair shop, I did not trust auto mechanics in that moment and needed something more than just a solution. In short, I needed to be able to trust. Over the course of 2-3 hours, RJ, Tom, and Brian collectively looked into the work that would need to be done, called the extended warranty company I have a contract with, and more. They also provided a write-up for me to take to the local repair shop on the situation, allowing me the opportunity to see if the local repair shop would either make the situation right, or enable me to seek reimbursement from the local repair shop for $2700+ of work that was done but not needed before bringing the vehicle to you all for the repairs that were needed. In short, your team took care of me as a customer and treated me like a person not a number – which in today’s world is often not the case, so was greatly appreciated and refreshing. Thank you. Thankfully, the local repair shop did end up deciding to make things right on their own dime, which no doubt was enabled by the work of your team. Though the efforts of your team didn’t result in service work for you all this time around, what it did do was restore trust and let me clearly know that when I need future work on this Kia Sorrento in normal circumstances I can come to you and your team so that both my vehicle and me as a person will be taken care of in a way where I will have peace of mind that good work is done and that the people involved can be trusted. When people like RJ, Brian, and Tom, do as they did, it is important that they are recognized so that you will hear from someone who your team serves that you have good folks who I am sure you are proud to have representing your company because of how they are strengthening the reputation of Ed Voyles Kia with the care and trust they exhibit. I am thankful for these men and what they did. Thank you for the efforts of your team, and I will continue to speak highly of your service shop and team with others.
