All Sales No Service
by Rsco211 on 04/25/2025If you are just buying and don’t care about after sales service - this place is perfect for you. If you care about after sales service, stay away. Promised they would follow up in a week for appt to ceramic and detail (paid a lot for this).… Nope, two weeks later we have to call and complain. Supposed to have a loaner car ready, not just a sign and go like most others - they want $250 deposit. You have my brand new car, insurance and signed liability - No! Issues at every turn and we are a new customer… Last time we will be customers - we’ll take it elsewhere for service as well! Update April 2025: Stephan w/Sales 5/5 afterwards from service nothing but troubles If you are just buying and don’t care about after sales service - this place is perfect for you. If you care about after sales service, stay away. Promised they would follow up in a week for appt to ceramic and detail (paid a lot for this). Nope, two weeks later we have to call and complain. Supposed to have a loaner car ready, not just a sign and go like most others - they want $250 deposit. Not that this is a big deal, just wasn't disclosed (communication). You have my brand new car, insurance and signed liability - No! Issues at every turn and we are a new customer… Last time we will be customers - we’ll take it elsewhere for service as well! Loaner was supposed to be just a day, dropped off at 9AM and should be done in 4-5 hours. Gave them until 3:30 and started heading in (we live an hour away) and low and behold get the call (great) but our car isn't going to be ready until next day... Okay, head back home. Next day, get the call "Your vehicle is ready", great get there and the vehicle has spots and bird droppings all over it (was there for ceramic, tint, and turn rotors - yep on the new car...). So they take it back and clean it up (how when you're not supposed to hand wash after Ceramic for at least a week)... Linda who is also great, got Alex the Service Manager. What did we get from him, "give us another opportunity and we will make it right" - Oh you need more of my time and $$ to make it right - there's no making it right now? They bring the car back out, looks a lot better (not perfect but at this point at least acceptable..). Get in the car, and the front window brow is not installed... Checked the paperwork, just to make sure it was on there - it was... Linda notifies Alex again, and he comes out - guess how he is going to make it right "Give us another opportunity and we will make it right"... No accountability, no service recovery. Just like the Dealer response from Joy - "Contact us"... Well, Tamiami Hyundai, pretty sure you have our contact information. I would think the LEAST you can do is take time out of your day to contact us. Afterall, we spent 3 hours sitting in the heat on a concreate table with an umbrella for shade waiting for our car that was "ready"...Genesis g70

by JoeinNaples on 01/08/2018Went to Tamiami Hyundai to buy out a lease on a Hyundai that was leased on the east coast of Florida. Paid the amount specified in the lease plus a several hundred dollars "processing fee" and title fees. Received a call later from the… dealership saying there was going to be an additional $400 fee from Hyundai Leasing, but that they would send a check to me to cover it. Never got the check, but got a bill for the $400 because they were informed that the car was returned not purchased. I was told to bring the bill to the dealership and they would write a check. Got a call the next day from the General Manager saying no need to come in because all was taken care of and the fee was waived. I called Hyundai Leasing and was told that the $400 had not been paid, and they would not released their lien on the title until it was. I asked why there were any issue and was told that most likely the dealership tried to buy the vehicle from Hyundai Leasing for less than the residual amount. Spoke with the General Manager and was told everything was cleared up and I could pick up the title a few days later. The day I was supposed to pick up the title the GM called me and said they had to redo the title work and it would be ready in a few days. I called Hyundai Leasing to confirm that the $400 fee had been taken care of and they released the lien on the title and was told that they did not get the payment, and hadn't released the lien. Tried to contact the GM but he has not returned the call.Hurricane Fraud
by Jo_2017 on 09/24/2017I recently went into the center because the dealer who sold me my car a couple months ago told me he could help me with my car situation after Hurricane Irma hit. The insurance company was wanting to offer me a few thousand dollars lower… then what it was worth and the dealer said that was insane and he had a great deal for me to help. The dealer knew I was brand new to the area and this was my first car I have ever bought. I bought my new Elantra all up front with no lease. I specifically said I do not want to have payments I want to pay for it all right now. He said the Tamiami Hyundai company was trying to help their customers with hurricane insurance. I was told I could get a new Elantra if I leased the car and paid for it all upfront. So I assumed that meant I would pay for it all at once and be on my way. According to various emails I received about matching and helping with insurance money I assumed it would be only a little out of pocket to myself. So my dealer basically said it was going to be a great deal and I should take the money because you all would help me the rest of the way. But while I was waiting for my loan process I finally got my dealer to eventually spill the facts that in 3 years I would owe 13-14000 dollars on top of the 14000 I was going to pay upfront. I literally thought I was going to pass out. I am a single 27 year old woman who has moved from across the country to live here. My dealer knew I was all alone with no family here, scared, and just overwhelmed from this traumatic experience. He knew I was a teacher on a limited budget. He even pat me on the back and told me everything was going to be okay. Luckily I was able to withdraw my insurance claim because there is no way I would ever be able to afford to pay 14000 on a car in 3 years after I spent 14000 on it upfront. I would be in financial trouble and would seriously be trouble in medically because of the stress this would cause on me. In fact, this whole thing was very stressful and caused me to breakdown. I mean we have just survived a cat 4 hurricane and I get taken advantage of at a dealership that i loved and trusted. I still can not believe how I was treated and how the dealer immediately changed his face and approach towards me when I finally found out what was really going on. I spent over 2 hours at the dealership that day when I could have been at my home working on it after finally getting power back after 9 days. I love my Elantra and was planning on being a Hyundai car owner for life but this has extremely effected my decision. I have lost my faith in this dealership and the company in general. We are supposed to help each other after natural disasters not use each other for profit.Very disappointing after buying several cars from them
by mgjordansr on 02/22/20175/7 recent google ratings are one star! I'm not surprised given my recent unfortunate experience! This is my 4th purchase from Tamiami Hyundai and my first bad experience. I was quoted a lease payment and when they couldn't deliver on the… payment amount they decided to "shop" me to other lenders. I specifically told them I was buying a home and that they were only authorized to run my credit once. Instead they shopped me to four lenders and this lowered my credit score to a point I'm now having to pay a higher rate on my mortgage. They put the sale ahead of the customer. I've given them every opportunity to resolve this and all they do is argue that they got the deal done. Well their goals and my goals are very different. Their goal was the deal and my goal was getting what I was promised. I thought my sales person (Eddie Garcia) would go to bat for me since he's been the salesman on 4 deals but all he did was justify the process and focus on the end result. He just sent me a text saying that "from here on I'm not available to you". They thought me getting a new car was important - it wasn't. I only wanted a new car if it made sense.Never again
by GabrielB on 11/11/2016I bought a Genesis from this place. Worst experience ever... after I bought the car the manager didn't even shake my hand, or said anything. I found out that the price of the car was lower advertised on their website, than I bought it for.… They tried to blame it on 3rd party (their own website), and then something about disclaimers. (lame excuses). I will make sure that I will not return back to this place for my next vehicle. The only nice person was the finance person.Great car buying
by Laurel61 on 10/16/2015I had such a great car buying experience but I have actually port to Hyundai Sonata is from Tamiami Hyundai each transaction was smooth and easy and I was to get to great cars for very good price I'll be back again and enjoy doing business… with Tamiami Hyundai it was no pressure and The paperwork was easy to follow and took place very quickly I recommend Tamiami Hyundai to my friends family and business acquaintancesBAIT and SWITCH
by scamedinnaples on 10/14/2015The biggest example of BAIT and SWITCH, the worst customer service imaginable, and a finance manager by the name of David Madreros who gets angry if you don't want to buy GAP insurance and will tell you anything you want to hear until you… drive away with the car. Took a friend with me to Tamiami Hyundai on August 15th, 2015, found the 2016 Hyundai Elantra that was exactly what I wanted, the salesman Steve Kalinowski gave me a trade in value for my Honda CRV that I was happy with, wrote my order up and moved me on down the hall to the Finance Managers office. The finance manager Dave Maderos took my application, said everything looked fine, he would have no problem finding someone to finance me at a good interest rate, that I just had to sign a few papers and I could get into my new car and drive away. I stated specifically, that I was not taking the car or signing the papers until I knew who was financing me and exactly what my payments would be. I stated this clearly and repeatedly. It took a very long time in his office while he was on his computer before he announced to me that he had found a lender (Grow Financial) and that I was locked in at $348.09 per month. I signed my papers of sale with Grow Financial as my financer, my payment was set and I drove away my new car. My Filthy new car, but that's another Tamiami Hyundai story. Almost 2 months have gone by and I have yet to receive any information regarding my car payment, so I called David Maderos to inquired about it. David said it was no big deal, just stop by and bring the payment to him along with 2 more recent pay stubs. I went in Monday October 11th where I was met by another Finance Manager by the name of Remi Mendozzi who informed me that David was on vacation and he would now be assisting me. Once I was seated in Mr. Mendozzi's office I handed him the copys of my 2 most recent pay stubs, he set them aside and went on to inform me that they were unable to secure financing for my car loan from anyone except Hyundai and that it would change my payments from $348.09 that was originally agreed upon when the sale was made, to a $408.00 payment per month. I said that it was absolutely unacceptable for me to even consider a $60.00 per month increase on a payment that was clearly stated as locked in before I even took possession of the car. To say that from the moment that I entered his office, Remi Mendozzi was rude, condescending and intimidating would be an understatement. In fact it was so uncomfortable that I said I had to leave and go to work just to get out of there and gather my whits about me. I returned to speak with and settle this matter with Mr. Mendozzi the next day, October 12th, and was met with the same nastiness and intimidating tactics as he tried to use the day before only today I recorded the whole conversation. From the time I walked into Mr. Mendozzi's office until the time I left 1 hour and 3 minutes later it is very, very clear to anyone listening to this conversation, the dishonest and intimidating tactics whith which this business and it's employess operate. I left Tamiami Hyundai with two things: a car payment of $8.00 more per month than my original sales agreement and a complete and very clear audio recording of who these people really are and what a $36,000 scam looks like. This is just my first post. Now onto every news channel, news paper, social media outlet, better business and consumer protection agency.HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
by skoeppel on 02/20/2015I urge everyone to NOT conduct business with this dealership and save yourself the headache. I have never interacted with such INCOMPETENT and misinforming individuals in my entire life. My experience with Tamiami Hyundai started when I… came across a used BMW on their lot that I was interested in. My e-mail exchange began with Kevin Poeling. Our electronic communication, up until my in-person appointment with him, was positive. We scheduled an appointment and I ended up purchasing the used car from him (later to realize that this would be an incredible mistake) and, in turn, provided to him my trade-in that was a leased vehicle. A few days later, following completion of the transaction, I received a bill for $650 because their dealership did NOT do their part and obtain an accurate payout for my car prior to closing the sale. While at the dealership, Kevin did not inform me that there was the possibility for ANY sort of discrepancy until I questioned this information when I received the bill. I contact the managers, who simply informed me that this was not their responsibility. I was appalled at the blatant disregard for the customer and lack of service they provided following the closing of my near $20,000 sale. I regret to believe, looking back, that Kevin likely knew what the outcome would be and suspected that I would owe additional funds but did not want to say anything at the time for fear of not obtaining the deal. He did not do what was in my best interest and demonstrated distasteful business practice. Numerous times he indicated that he was "not a typical salesman" but turned out to be just that. He prided himself on being a veteran of the industry and a successful one at that; however, I am hesitant to believe that someone with his REPORTED level of experience had no idea that I would owe additional funds AFTER a signed contract was complete. To top it all off, I received an ADDITIONAL bill for tag and registration, which was already estimated in my contract at $130 and then billed at $388.35, creating the difference of $258.35, and thus the amount of my second bill. Again, this dealership should know what a tag and registration fee is! I have bought numerous cars in the past and never have I ever received a bill for close to $1,000 AFTER a transaction is complete. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with this dealership and I urge others to consider other dealerships nearby, as it is not worth the hassle or headache to deal with Tamiami Hyundai. They come HIGHLY unrecommended given their obvious incompetence and blatant disregard for customer service and satisfaction. Please shop elsewhere and/or contact me if you have any questions, as I would be happy to reiterate why this experience was beyond unimaginable and ridiculous!Picked up my Genesis today(4/23/09)
by bill2006 on 04/23/2009Picked up my Genesis V6 with tech today. Wonderfull car. White Satin pearl with beige interior. Great experience with Tamiami Hyundai in Naples Fl. Salesman was Manfred Nelles.Best car experience I've had. I was concerned about some of… the things I've heard about Hyundai Dealers. This guy was a class act. Knowledgable, honest, and a very pleasant person. Anyone looking for a Genesis in Southwest Florida will be happy with Manfred. Now, if the car performs as I think it will, I will be a very happy person. My experience
