    Just got my Hyundai Santa Fe So happy with the vehicle Gelson Gomez made the experience so much better, not to mention fun!! He works with you and tells it how it is! No surprises at the end... Going to get a vehicle ask for Gelson!!!!

    This dealer is the worse. They ripped me off and no one helped me out. They sell you the car with hidden prices and when i noticed, they gave me attitude. So not buy from them they will make a deal where you will be in disadvantage.

    My family and I just took home our third Potamkin Hyundai, just a few weeks back. From our salesman (Cesar) to the Sales Mgr. (Hector) to the Service Adv. (Monica)., the folks at Potamkin Hyundai are like family. There's a real "Magical Feeling" that takes place when you arrive at Potamkin Hyundai. The folks really make you feel like family. I think the "Magic", comes from them truly caring about the customer!. The Perez Family.

    Friday April 10. We received a call from George Miranda, as well an email message from Bobby Russell, in response to my inquiry through the Edmunds web site. We arranged to visit on Saturday. Saturday afternoon, April 11. We arrived at the showroom about 12:15 and asked for George. After a few minutes, he met us and asked us to talk with Peter Cruz. Peter took us onto the lot to show us both a Sonata and the Azeras. He arranged a test drive for one of the '09 Sonatas and then we found the Azeras. One was an '06 Limited (Silver) and two were '07s - a Limited (White) and a GLS (blue). He arranged for a test drive of the '06 vehicle, which had some 6400 miles but would be sold as a new car. We returned to the showoom to talk about the two vehicles. [there were two '08s in stock -- both black.] After a considerable wait, during which the staff inspected our tradein, he returned with a piece of paper on which he had written: 06 - $19,995. 07 - $22,995. Trade-in: $3,000 After questioning, he revealed that there would be a dealer fee of $699, and tax and title to be added to those. Now he began to insist that these prices were good only for today. This appeared to us as 'high-pressure' tactics and we made it clear we would have to consider this and we were not signing anything without finding out more. He assured us the shop was open until 9:00 and he might be there until 11:00. We went home. Saturday night, April 11. After some research and consideration, we decided we would buy the car. We called Peter. We asked if we had to come in that night or would Sunday morning be okay? He assured us that if we came in at 11:00 A.M. we would have the deal. We insisted -- if we don't have the deal, we are not coming in. He told us to come in. Sunday Morning, April 12. We arrived about 11:05 A.M. I checked the cars on the lot, because there were a couple of details regarding the actual vehicles I was unsure about, then we went inside to see Peter. We talked some and after waiting about 90 minutes, he finally came back with another piece of paper on which he had written: 06 - $20,995. 07 - $23,995. which were $1000 more than yesterday. We were livid -- he had told us that we had a deal and could come in, only to find we did NOT have a deal. We left. On the way out, Peter came running up to say they would reduce the price by $500. That would still be $500 more than the deal we were counting on, and we were just too angry to consider it. We had been ready to buy but they didn't want our money. A manager (I believe he was called Rene) was called over, but all he said was "Why didn't you take the deal yesterday?" We answered: "Because Peter said to come in today." "Well he shouldn't have said that." OK, then, as long as the manager is not going to stand behind what Peter says, there is little point in talking to him. Sunday Afternoon, April 12. Since we had not seen Bobby that morning, we called him later to tell him the story. He promised to check see if he could do something for us and call us back in 15 minutes. He didn't. After about an hour, we called again. He said he could not get his manager to reinstate the deal on the '06 car. We suggested the '07 as a possibility and he said he would work on that and call to let us know one way or the other. He didn't. (10 days later, the cars are still in their inventory. They could have sold us one.)

    • We do not install vinyl interiors to any of our vehicles. If a car doesn't have leather and a customer would like to have leather added, we use only the best and most reputable leather installation companies. We do between 15-20 leather installations a month and have never had anyone else complain that it is vinyl. You are a valued customer and your satisfaction is important to us. We had a meeting set up with the leather installation company to show you that it is leather they are installing and we never heard back from you. That offer still stands.     I asked for the quote on line and sales person(Poala) gave me the quote. I told her that I had trade.she gave me the 2nd quote with trade. I picked my color from the inventory and told her that I would be there in 30 min. I was out of the dealership within an hour.

    Overall had a great experience buying my new Santa Fe Sport. Ed G. was my sales person and he was a complete professional. He was knowledgable and helpful with every question I had. I would recommend my friends and family to Ed and Potamkin Hyundai

    I received excellent service and attention from everyone at Potamkin Hyundai. Jim Agostino went out of his way to make this car purchase the best of my life. Jim did NOT sell me the car but guided me through the process and worked tirelessly to make sure I got the exact vehicle I wanted. During my car buying life I have purchased about 15 NEW cars and this was, by far, the best experience of my life. Chris, the sales manager was also very helpful and worked out a few problems to make the sale possible.Even the F&I experience was painless with no HIGH POWER sales pressure.     We have purchased 2 vehicles from Potamkin Hyundai. Our salesman both times was Fernando Diaz. It was a pleasant experience both times. Mr. Diaz is very knowledgeable and straight forward. We will definately return when we are ready to buy again.

    I purchased a vehicle from Potamkin and paid them to install (according to the paperwork) a new "leather" interior. But instead they installed a vinyl interior. Potamkin refuses to remedy the situation, fervently denies that my vehicle has anything but genuine leather (let's be clear: leather comes from cows) and does not even return my calls. When I called their corporate office and asked for the owner, I was immediately hung up on multiple times. When the corporate office finally did have a conversation with me they referred my concerns back to the salesperson. I feel I have exhausted all my remedies to get this situation resolved. All I can hope for now is that other buyers aren't ripped off like me.

    I purchased my Genesis from Potamkin Hyundai. The whole process was great. The sales manager Chris Hayek was a pleasure to deal with. He was upfront and honest the entire. I never felt any pressure from him or the sales associate. Chris went over all my buying options and was able to do most of the transaction by phone and email. I love my new Genesis. I highly recommend Chris and Potamkin Hyundai to anyone in the market for a car.

    I am writing this review in order to express a bad experience that I had at potamkin. The sealer Paola lacks customer attention. I contacted her my e-mail, after she replied a online quote request. Everything seemed well until we got to the dealer. The car that I request to see was the 2013 Elantra Gt, which was parked next to a Veloster. My friend and I, after taking a test drive on the Gt we requested to see the Veloster and also the coupe, however Paola completely ignored our request. We waited over 30 minutes and nothing, so we had to walk towards the back parking lot, and a gentleman there showed us which was the Veloster and the coupe. I will make the long history short just by telling you the main misfortunes. The 4% interest promised by the sealer actually turned into 6.79%. After I drove the car for 3 weeks the dealer called me saying that the leather seats promised could not be installed, because it was not approved by the bank, even though I signed a contract were they appeared, even though I paid $ 6,000 as a down payment. The options given by the dealer was: pay them from your pocket or we can deduct that amount out of the contract( which wasn't final after 3 weeks). I was so disappointed that my first action was to return the car and cancel the deal. But in order to cancel the contract and requested the down payment back and I was told that it would take up to 2 weeks  in order to receive the check back. And I also had to leave the car there at that same moment. Conclusion, it was easier to forget about the leather than canceling a contract and walk home without the check. Even to get the license plate from the dealer as a headache. Paola gave a hard time to issue a second temporary tag, after the first one expired. I had to called the dealer directly several times  to be informed if the original tag had arrived.  I feel that, once the deal is done the sealer doesn't care if you are satisfied or not. I was so excited about my new vehicle that on the second day I posted excellent reviews everywhere. Today, a month after I bought the car I can re-write those reviews and say that the final experience wasn't great, it was a real disappointment. It's unfortunate that  sealer today is  so greedy and they lack on customer service. They are [non-permissible content removed], like everyone says.  The guy that took us for the test drive (ED) was to only positive thing. He new the car well, and answered all of my questions!
