DO NOT GO TO SUN TOYOTA
by Mack Worden on 06/06/2025Stay away from this dealership! Today I took my truck in for a simple oil change…the last free one that I had from buying my vehicle here. I have never been harassed so much in my entire life! I pulled up in the service area to give my… information to the girl and there was a salesman ready to pounce. My truck is a 2 door and immediately he started in on trying to sell me a 4 door. No matter how many times I said no, he would not listen. He pulled a truck around and insisted I look at it! FOR 2 HOURS while I waited for my oil to be changed (which is also completely ridiculous!) he continued to harass me – first was outside when I pulled up, second after I was done talking to the service guy, third when I was sitting in the waiting area he came and sat next to me, and for a fourth time after I was checking out he tried to get the finance guy to talk to me. I had to get mad before they finally left me alone. They were trying to “running numbers”, talking to the finance guy, etc. I’d like to say it’s because I’m a woman because yes I was in there trying to get a simple oil change by myself but there were other people in the dealership that were being treated terribly as well. Lots of cussing especially when the salesmen thought nobody was around to hear them. This dealership has lost my business forever. Not only will I not take my truck here for service, I will NEVER buy another vehicle from them. No one wants to deal with strong arm sales tactics the second they pull up!! And this was just my experience from simply trying to get my free oil change!!!!3 Cars in 3 weeks!!!
by Mike R on 05/09/2025Cannot thank the good people from Sun Toyota enough . We just finished buying our 3rd car in 3 weeks. . We got tremendous deals that could not be passed up. We are now with my Tacoma, a 4 car Sun Toyota family. The GM Mark was just… fantastic and a man of his word. That is a unicorn in the car business. Allen our salesperson made everything as Smooth as possible. He has a great personality and will go the extra mile for you. Please ask for him!!! Finally, we love Max in finance! will finalize your deal with ease. We love the Toyota brand and now my family is set with great reliable transportation. Many Thanks2nd Car in 5 days!!! by Mike R on 04/23/2025We got such a great deal 5 days ago on a used CHR my wife decided to get the beautiful RAV4 Premium XLE FWD!!! What a car and deal. Love working for the 2nd time in a row with Chris Peterson. We are hoping to get a 3rd car soon from… them. That is how good they treated us! We drove an hour to get their but it was worth it AGAIN!!!!Avoid at all costs!!

I texted him that evening and said how nice he was but I refuse to deal with a company that engaged in tactics like I experienced. He was very kind and nice. The sales… manager, however, played games, insulted my intelligence, placed my trade in at "fair" when it is in fact very good - if not excellent condition. The sales manager also added bogus "Market Adjustments" and basically keep the key to my vehicle hostage. Approximately 6-8 weeks later a lady called asking if I was still interested in purchasing. I told her about how horrid the visit was, how insulting the sales manager was and NO - I will not be purchasing from them. The lady insisted she wanted to earn my business and will do anything, then asking if the general manager could call me. We agreed upon a time frame (I was in the middle of funeral arrangements) and I never received a call back. Nope. Apparently you aren't willing to earn my business. Finally, yesterday someone called me from there, Dee Odus (sp?). Urging me to hurry before the tariffs kick in and it's too expensive! More high pressure sales. Just leave me alone already! Get my phone number out of your database! I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from you ever! Even if you gave me the best 0.0% financing (credit score >800), 75% off and free everything for life - you will NEVER get my business!Outstanding Dealership

Sun actually made it stress free and enjoyable shopping. From the moment I… walked in - salesman/Victor Rodriguez was just amazing who not stop providing great customer service until I was out the door at the end of the day. Actually all people I came in contact at the dealership were friendly, ready to help and assist. Truly amazing place. And you know what they have an amazing Cafe - with great food!Where’s the Loyalty????

However, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing. After… my car was unfortunately totaled due to Hurricane Helene,Trusting the dealership and our history, I went ahead and financed another car with them. I was informed by Sun Toyota that I still owed $11,000 on the totaled car after the fact. Now, I find myself stuck with two car notes and no resolution or meaningful assistance from their team. This situation has had a significant impact on my personal and financial affairs. I expected better from a dealership I’ve trusted and worked with multiple times. While I understand that financing and insurance situations can be complicated, I would have hoped for more transparency, guidance, and support from a business that claims to value its customers. To anyone considering Sun Toyota, be cautious and ensure you’re fully aware of the financial implications before moving forward. They are absolutely " NOT" looking out for your best interest only lining their pockets ANYWAY they can with any promise they can to get you… to sign. Do not go just walk away, PLEASE!! listen to my words they are trained [non-permissible content removed]. There only objective is to get you to sign anyway they can. PLEASE!! listen to my words it will save you much heartache. Go to another dealership not this one.Awful!
by Ashley Dean on 08/03/2024I’m writing this review to summarize the extremely negative experience I had with Sun Toyota. I first contacted the dealership on Tuesday 07/30/24 and spoke with Nicole. I advised her I was interested in the 2024 Toyota 4 Runner TRD… Premium. Nicole advised me that they are unable to discuss prices over the phone, which I could kind of understand. I did unlock the special VIP price on the website showing the vehicle priced at 47,250. Nicole told me that in the fine print it states you can only qualify for this price if you have met 3 requirements. A. You are a previous Sun Toyota customer B. You have a trade in with at least a 15,000 value. C. You use Toyota’s in house financing. I was a little disappointed about that but didn’t think about it too much right at that time. I live 2 hours away from Sun Toyota and Nicole wanted me to come down right then to look at the vehicle. My time is valuable, and I explained to her that due to my husband and I both working shift work there was no way I could make it that same day. Nicole then began pushing me to come in on Wednesday 7/31 the next day. I explained to her that my husband possibly could take ½ that Tuesday night off so we could come down Wednesday. It was at this time that Nicole made the statement “if I know you are coming, I could hold the keys for you”. I really didn’t like the idea of driving two hours and not being able to get the vehicle so I texted her later that night to let her know we would be there the next day and to please hold the keys as she had offered to. Later that night I thought it would be a good idea to review some of the website’s disclaimers before we went down. I decided to look at the disclaimer regarding the VIP price that Nicole said I would not qualify for. Nowhere on that disclaimer does it say anything about being a previous customer or having a trade in valued at 15,000. However, the disclaimer did note that you would be required to use in-house financing for this deal. At this time, it was too late to contact Nicole and question her about this, so I decided to wait until the next day. So, the next day we headed down to Sun Toyota and about 1 hour into the trip I got a call from Nicole. I questioned her about the disclaimer and brought it to her attention that it does not list the requirements she gave me. Nicole looked at the site herself and could not explain to me why it did not list all the required qualifications she had given me. She stated she would need to contact her GM and she would get back to me because she did not want me to think she was a liar. I never heard back from Nicole after this. We arrived at Sun Toyota 1 hour later to be informed the vehicle was just sold, Nicole would not even come out to speak with us. I explained to salesperson Kirsten, and a guy with red hair that Nicole had told me she would hold the keys for me. The two of them disappeared for about 15 minutes to speak with Nicole. When they came back the guy with the red hair said that it is against their policy to tell people they will hold the keys on any vehicle, and Nicole told him she did not tell me that. At this point, the guy with the red hair then started to sell me on another vehicle. We left and drove an additional two hours to Toyota of Orlando where I bought an identical vehicle and did not experience any of the untruths or manipulations that I had at Sun Toyota. I would have understood if Nicole had told me they could not hold the keys up front. They are in the business of selling cars and I could see them not wanting to turn a sale away. The fact that she herself offered to hold the keys and then tried to make me out to be the liar was the most disgusting part of this to me. Also no one ever explained the false requirements she gave me in relation to the disclaimer on VIP pricing. I have had no less than 5 different salespeople try to call me after the fact to get me back in the doors of Sun Toyota. There was one guy Tyler Bernard that continued to text me and email me even after I instructed him not to. I contacted the manager on duty finally on 8/1 to stop Tyler from contacting me. I do believe Tyler was intentionally trying to antagonize me about the experience I had with Sun Toyota. My husband and I are well qualified borrowers and have purchased many vehicles over the years. I have never had an experience like the one we had at Sun Toyota. The whole thing left me feeling disgusted and manipulated. I have never left a review like this one anywhere before but felt like it was necessary given the level of service I experienced in this situation.BEWARE OF SUN-TOYOTA FLORIDA” Lemon car sold here
by Ola on 07/31/2024I purchased a 2020 Mercedes Benz GLC 300 on 2/20/2024 with a 62,580 milage. The dealership claimed a thorough inspection and all services, repairs has been done. Fake sticker pasted. Deals was signed and I experienced my first… disappointment leaving the dealership. Tire sensor light turned on and immediately brought it back and found out one tire was bad. They fixed it to cover their shame, I came all the way from Nashville for this deal because I thought this was a trusted business and the salesman got me. The car came with a lifetime warranty and I was lured to also buy an extended factory warp warranty which manager Informed for any breakdown it will be covered. After 2 weeks, brake light came up, went to check and facility informed it’s already on 3mm and they were surprised I just got this car, both front and rear brakes, I was again disappointed because the dealership claimed all was inspected and everything needed to be serviced and changed was done. Getting my carfax login that same week I found out that the car brakes was overdue on carfax. I sent all this to dealership, nothing was done, no response, I got tired and repaired for $2,325. After one month of purchase my worst nightmare started, had a breakdown with a check engine light, car misfiring and vibrating. I went to Benz for repair and the advisor was overwhelmed that I just got this car a month ago because after diagnostics they found out that there was a slash on the engine cylinder which is not something new. The total for this repair was $10,309 and claim filed with the warranty, after 33 days of my car in repair shop they only approved $7,200 and I had to balance the rest. I thought all this troubles are over, 4 weeks after repair, another breakdown with check engine light and this time around it’s a engine failure and needs to be changed. car has been in the repair facility since June 13 till now the dealership and warranty is not willing to assist. This is a lemon car and I need this fixed, replaced or refunded.Happy and hydrated

We put 10k down and still--a year later--owe 15k more than the vehicle is worth. Never saw a window sticker until several days… later. Found out they charged more than the window price! Shady shady shady! AVOID THIS DEALER! It will cost you a fortune to not take my advice!Great Experience buying my first car

Salesman say they will call you… and it’s 3 weeks and no one callsRUN AWAY - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The salesman I dealt with Mobein Mollah, was awesome and was able to put together the out the door cost exactly as I wanted. This is where the deal goes… south! Came back the following day to close the deal WITH A PRE-APPROVED LOAN from my local credit union, Sun Toyota REFUSED to accept my pre-approval and said they would not close the deal unless I allowed them to run a credit application. I refused the credit application and told them all they need to do is send the purchase order through to my loan officer at my credit union and the check will be cut to them within 30 minutes. Sun Toyota REFUSED and said they would not accept my PRE-APPROVED loan and the deal was done. This dealership lost a customer who was ready and willing to buy a car because they couldn’t pull some shady tactics and hit my credit report for their kickbacks. Definitely will NEVER do business with this dealership in the future and I’d recommend everyone else find another dealer as well. I feel bad for my salesman, Mobein because he was a new salesman and he did a great job and his dealership ruined it for him!Stay Away!

From listing car prices online that are several thousand dollars below what their asking price is once you are sitting at the dealership to up selling bogus… accessories like nitrogen filled tires and $900 'Windshield Protection'. Then once I had agreed to an out-the-door price with the salesman, the finance manager added several thousand dollars to the total price on top of that for a 'pre-delivery' fee and their Sun Toyota Protection Package (which I had made clear several times that I wasn't interested in paying for) without ever acknowledging the cost of such charges. Overall as someone who was just trying to buy their first commuter car I can't help but feel lied to and taken advantage of for not being familiar with the car buying process, and would strongly discourage anyone from buying a car there.Thanks to Jason, Pankaj , Fil

All took there time to answer all my questions and show me every model I wanted to look at and even stayed after… closing to make sure we got to take our new Rav home. Jason really listened to what was important to me and made sure he got me exactly what I wanted in a new vehicle. I highly recommend Sun Toyota and all three of these nice employees.Be aware...
by Rafal Stefek on 12/15/2023Be aware. Misled about pricing, costing me an extra $750 after the fact. I went to purchase a new Rav4 Hybrid with cash in hand. Salesperson Carlos said he could only give me a better deal if I took a loan, as the dealership was getting… a kick-back from the bank for sending them a client. He as well as the finance manager said there was no prepayment penalties, I could pay the loan off in almost full, and then leave two small payments as the dealership will only get a kick-back if I hold the loan for 3 months. They both have reassured me that it will cost me max of $100 but in turn I am receiving a huge discount on the car. I received the loan from World Omni Financial (with 800+ credit score - they steered me into a higher interest rate assuming they get a better kickback). I went to pay my loan off and was charged an early payoff fee in additional to 9.59% interest rate. There was also an additional fee off $150 they charged for writing up the loan. In total, I am out of $750. Being dishonest and misleading just to get the sale does not deserve any of my future business. I will also file a report with FTC for bad business practice and steering me into a loan so they can get a kick-back from the lender.Falta de etica profecional

They lie all the time and after you give your signature they lie to justify their mistakes and cover each other up. They never… take responsibility for their mistakes because they only care about selling, they no longer serve you well or are courteous, they do not greet you, they simply ignore you. Very bad sales strategy, at some point these errors will return to their origin with all their consequences. El honor y los buenos valores no son comunes en estos tiempos pero en lugares como este son profecionales de el engaño. Mienten todo el tiempo y luego que das tu firma mienten para justificar sus errores y se tapan entre todos. Nunca asumen sus errores con responsabilidad por que solo les importa vender, ya no te atienden bien ni son cortes, ni te saludan simplemente te ignoran. by gogomez1 on 05/09/2018I was "encouraged" to come visit the dealership to get the deal done, because the "internet department threshold" had been reached. I was told that "my business wouldn't be lost over a few dollars" and that I should come in "as my best… negotiating chip is being here in person." If you hear these same lines, you'll likely end up wasting your time. It's unfortunate that Sun Toyota doesn't value the customer's time. Lesson learned. Hopefully this review will help others.
