by Eric on 04/16/2023I bought a Honda Civic sports and within a week I noticed a noise on the brake system. I brought the car back to service and they said it had something loose. Once I got it back I drove around their parking lot to test it and the problem… was is still there. I took the car back 3 times and they said they had somebody from Honda come in and inspect the car and according to them the car is ok. They gave me the car back and said that they can’t do anything else that if I had a complain to take up with Honda directly. Also, when I inspected my rims they had chipped them in the process when removing the two front tires. I told the service manager about the fact that they chipped the rims and if they were going to take responsibility and he said that that could have happened by a rock when driving. He was avoiding responsibility and had an attitude about it because the chipped rims are the two front wheel and they were almost identical and it’s very hard for a rock to chip the rims that way. He said he was going to find out what they could do to repair it if possible and that he would call me back. He did call back but with no solution saying that he had not gotten in contact with the person he needed to talk to so he said he would call me back again when he speaks to proper person and that’s the last time I heard from him. I believe the service manager name is Alex. Once they see you back for the same problem that they can’t figure out then is like you are a bother to them and you are a trouble maker for them. That’s how I felt when dealing with the service manager since he had an attitude towards me. So now I have a brand new car that has a brake noise and they chipped the two front rims.Hello Eric, we regret your experience with us here, but are glad you brought this to our attention. Unacceptable Service
by Omar Marin on 04/06/2023I have been going to AutoNation Honda Miami Lakes since 2008. But, today was the last day I will ever go to that dealership to service my car. April 4 - Arrival 7:00am: I took my 2019 Honda Civic Sport Sedan I service. I was greeted by… one of the service reps named (Christian).He took down my information and I explained to him that my car had a rattling noise in the front drive side of the vehicle. The service rep proceeded in finishing up my paper work and advised me that there is a fee of $250 if they do the multistep inspection and nothing is found. But if they find something, they would waive that fee and charge me for the service it is needed. I agreed, order an Uber back to work that cost me ($40.32). April 4 - Call from Service rep at 9:39am: Service rep explained that the technician "might think" is the wheel baring which would cost $880 or the transmission that would cost $6,000. At the moment I was confuse because they did not sound sure what it could be but because I wanted to fix my car, I asked them to please proceed and change the wheel bearing. April 4 - Call from Rep at 2:08pm. Rep called and advised that the technician decided to order a new wheel bearing because he wants the car to be perfect. That raised a red flag because Service rep never mentioned that they had to order a new part. So rep asked me if it was okay for them to keep the car. I said yes, please as long as we can get the job done. April 4: 5:00pm. I take an uber from my job to my house. $68.35. April 5: 6:30am - Took an Uber to work $48.12. April 5: I call the dealership at 10:00am. No response. I receive a call back from the service Rep at 10:28am. Service Rep explains that they are working on it, just a few delays, trying to downgrade the situation. I understood and advise to please keep me updated. April 5: Call from Service Rep at 1:24pm. Service rep explains that there has been some complications. The technician did not come in and my car key was in a lock box and they were trying to make a copy of my key to be able to get another tech to start the job. At this point I'm getting worried because they are telling me that their are complications and my car is not ready. The rep keeps apologizing and that he will give me a discount for the inconvenience. I understood and just gave them time to get the job done. April 5: At 5:30pm i take an uber from job to th3 dealership. ($95.45) Rush hour traffic prices. April 5: I get a call from the Service Rep at 5:58pm saying that my car is ready and they changed the wheel bearing and everything looks good now, and to come by to pick up the car because they close at 7:00pm. I arrive at the dealership around 6:12pm, I go up to the service rep. He is explaining how sorry he was for making me wait such a long time and it has been a mission to get the car fix because of everything that happened. He proceed to take me to the Cashier office. *Note* It was never explained how the old wheel bearing was, if it was indeed broken or not. I didn't see any picture. Honestly, at this point idk if they even changed the wheel bearing. When I get to the cashier booth. They tell me that i owe $880. I tell them is this including the discount the service rep was going to give me? They said no, so it was not even added to the invoice. They ended up adding a 10% discount leaving me to pay total of $799.63. I asked for a copy of the invoice before I pay so I can see what i was getting charged. I notice that the wheel bearing cost $157 and they charge me $600 for labor that took OVER TWO DAYS to complete. At this point I'm upset but I paid off the invoice, I just want my car as long as it's fixed. April 5 - A little after 7:00pm, I'm driving on the highway and i start hearing the same ratting noise. My heart sinks and realize it was not the wheel bearing and I have to take the car back. At this point they are closed so I decided to take it back the next day. April 6 - 7:00am: I arrive at the dealership drop off the car and advise one of the service reps that they did not fix the issue, my car needs to get inspected an I am not paying anything extra for this service. I leave my car there and carpool with one of my coworker. April 6: - I received a call from the service rep saying that the technician has a Honda like mine and he "thinks" is the transmission. Mind you this will cost me an additional $6,000. Plus, my car is a 2019 Honda Civic Sport Sedan and I am not a mechanic but when i drive my car the steering wheel does not shake at all, it just makes a rattling noise the louder it gets. At this point I am extremely aggregated and upset. But I still kept my composer. I told to please have my car ready that I will be picking it up. I will need a second opinion from somewhere. At this moment, I will never go back to AutoNation Honda Miami Lakes. I felt i was lied to, deceived, and overcharge for services that my car did not need, and for horrible services. $600 for labor? when the technician called out and caused me another day without my car. In total, I spend $252.24 on uber because my car had complications and was delayed. Plus the invoice total for the wheel bearing and the labor $799.63. for a service that my vehicle DID NOT NEED because I still have the SAME ISSUE. This is ridiculous. I'm so upset and disappointed with AutoNation. I went in trusting them that my car was going to be fixed. Came out with disappointment and my trust with them is gone. Shame for doing this to hard working customers to put their trust in you and this is what I get.Hi Omar, we regret your experience with us here, but are glad you brought this to our attention.
