Terrible communication and unethical practices
by Josh on 01/26/2024Tldr: Crestview Ford charging for not doing any diagnostic or maintenance on something that could have been a phone call. Long story: I called Crestview Ford back at the beginning of January for my Focus having the notorious transmission… shudder. The person on the phone said it was under warranty ( they even went as far to “check to make sure so there weren’t any surprises) and bring it in. Dropped it off a few days later and got a call the next day saying, the warranty is not going to cover it because it expired. The person on the phone bringing this up before I did about the warranty. Also, to fix it they now want $4200. On top of that, I had to pay the diagnostic fee too so that was nice. Went from warranty work to oweing $220. Told them to put it back together and I’ll come get it. This was on 10 Jan. Tried calling them on the 15th, 16th leavingg messages, and again on the 22nd. On the 22nd, they said It was available for pickup and “Sorry. I thought I called and left a message.” Got home and checked my dash cam. For a transmission issue, they started the car, moved it in front of a bay, got out and let it run for 30 minutes while the technician was inside. After 30 minutes, they parked it and did nothing. Absolutely nothing was done to my vehicle. The next day, they moved it to another parking spot and there it sat. It sat for a week and a half for no reason and no communication. Now going through BBB and the state and getting pushed off there too claiming they’ve called to talk about the complaint. Call logs show different. Again, no communication. I don’t blame the tech. It falls on the office and those doing the write ups on what could have been an honest phone conversation saying to fix the issue, this would be the cost. Instead, they kept my vehicle for a week and a half, I had to call multiple times because “ they would call me when it’s back together,” and yet I never received a call. It was never taken apart. Yes they do have my number as that’s how they called me the first time to tell me the cost for the “warranty work”.Extremely disappointed in Ford Crestview!
by Matt on 12/18/2022I made agreement to purchase a King Ranch and made the 6 hour drive up from Tampa. Upon arrival, I noticed a few issues with the vehicle that should have been addressed before hand, like the battery was busted and leaking acid. They agreed… to fix that, but the description online on the Crestview website states "Textured Matte Finish Off-Road Running Boards", but they weren't installed on the vehicle. Additionally, it also listed that the truck had "Rear step bumper" which also wasn't installed. To be clear, the description of the vehicle options was on the website, not a third-party site. Jacob, the salesman, spoke to Matt, the dealership manager. After he explained the situation to the manager, he decided not to work on a solution. I then spoke to the manager myself and offered to split the cost of the running boards with them and they declined. The manager was aware I made the 6 hour drive, already had financing in place and had the 15k down payment in a certified check with me to complete the purchase. Both Matt and Jacob acknowledged that it was an error that came from there internet marketing person that works at the dealership. They stated that the dealership was losing money on the deal already and was unwilling to lose anymore. Even though I disagreed with there lack of ownership of an error Crestview made, I attempted to complete the deal as I was already so invested. They had a line item "Accessories" charging for $1,395.00 on the sales paperwork and it was explained as a warranty for the interior of the vehicle that I asked to be removed to help offset the cost to purchase the running boards that were stated in the online description and they refused. Then the manager proceeded to say that they are going to re-list the vehicle for 7k more than what I was going to pay for it. This statement shows that they really didn't care about their customers and take zero accountability for their own actions as a company. I would highly encourage anyone looking to conduct business with this dealership to strongly think about their lack of accountability and integrity. I purchase multiple vehicles a year for both business & personal and have never been more disappointed in a dealership. If Ford Crestview is willing to treat a customer that drove from 6 hours away like this, how would they treat you?Scott is a great salesman!
by James K on 11/27/2022Scott listened to us and what we were looking for. On the second car he found us exactly what we were looking for and made this buying experience painless. He was extremely helpful on all aspects, he is not a pushy salesman at all and… generally a great person. James in finance was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable. We are very pleased and happy with our car buying experience and if very much recommend them to anyone!Avoid this dealership at all costs
by Donald on 08/25/2022After I agreed on price the contract came out $900 dollars more than agreed upon price. I was told I would get a check equal to overcharge and still no check a week later. I guess they treated themselves to a nice dinner at my expense.… Still no response from salesman and calls go to voicemail. A week after sale and still no finance contract. I don't see how they can stay in business when they mistreat their customers like that.Price Change
by Busted Bronco on 10/23/2021Our salesperson (Emir) was very knowledgeable about the vehicles(more than most!) and nice. We made initial contact by phone/texts as we live 2 hours away. The problem arose when we had discussed the price of a vehicle on the website that… was not on the lot, yet. I was texted a purchase form showing me the fees, taxes, etc. i verified the price and made sure there weren’t any other fees or markups that would be added if we drove the 2 hours to the dealership from our place. Arrived at the dealership, looked at another vehicle to get a feel for the options and color of the one on order. When he brought the purchase agreement from the GM, it was $4,000 + tax higher. I had all the texts showing my verification, etc. GM wouldn’t honor it. So, we left and drove the 2 hours back home empty handed. Too bad for them, I guess, because was shown another vehicle that I would’ve come back and made a deal(I liked the truck so well after Emir showed me all the features). Sure, they’ll easily sell the vehicle we tried to buy, but, could have had 2 deals.🤷🏻♂️ Emir apologized profusely for the error. GM never came out of his glass house to apologize or try to work anything out. I guess business is good.
