Beware of Dealership
by churchgyrl on 02/25/2016I purchased a 2010 GMC Yukon Denali in March of 2014. When I brought the SUV in for the first oil change I heard a knocking sound as when I drove it home while turning corners. I called the service department to complain of the noise, they… looked at it and indicated that could not find nothing. Several times going forward after each oil change I complained about the noise and they indicated that they could not find anything wrong with the SUV. After going back and forth with the service department over several months I was told that even though the SUV was under warranty if they took apart the engine and found nothing I would be responsible to pay to have it put back together. I did not have the funds to pay such a fee at the time. Fast forward to another oil change I had done, they then gave me a list of repairs that needed to be done only to find out it was right after my warranty had expired. I feel that they set me up and was patching the problem so it will last so long until my warranty expired and then I would have to pay everything out of pocket get the problem fixed correctly or either they knew it would be drivable until the warranty expired. When asked about the extended warranty I had requested only then was I told by the car salesman when I asked for the monthly payments to be reduced when I bought the SUV that they cut my extended warranty. I ended up taking the SUV to have it fixed at another repair shop and it turns out that I had to replace the entire engine. This ended up costing me almost $7,000.00 out of pocket. I felt that this all could have been avoided if the service team would have been honest from the beginning as to what the problems were with the SUV. I could not just buy another SUV because I still have 4 years of payments left.Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. When I checked out, a different Service Associate assisted me; provided me with feedback on the inspection of my vehicle (belts, windshield wipers, tires, brakes, topping off fluids, etc.), and was just so very helpful and patient with all of my questions.Thank you so much for taking the time to write this great review! by tas2002 on 12/05/2007I will never buy a car from this dealership again. The second day I had the car I had to bring it back to the dealership because it kept overheating. All they did was patch it up and told me everything had been repaired. A little while… after that I had to bring the car back in because it was overheating again. They finally had to bring it to an Audi dealership for it to be fixed correctly. At this point they waited until my warranty had kicked in so that they wouldn't have to come out of pocket. In the mean time I had to redo my paperwork 3 times. I had lights going out. My service light came on and all they did was reset it. The car was never serviced before it was sold. My back windows wouldn't roll down. And recently I found when I started complaining about the car falling apart I brought the car in for an oil change and the odometer had been changed to make me over the mileage for my warranty.(I have the ppwk to prove it) Now it is something wrong with the engine and their basically telling me it's my problem. I placed a call to the owner to see if this could be resolved and he NEVER returned the phone call. So don't believe the commercial when he says, " If your not happy I want to know". It's not true. He doesn't care. So if you want a piece of junk car go to Crowley Buick Oldsmobile Kia. You will get just that!!
