Great Sales Experience, but Disappointing Financial Consultation
by Shawna M on 07/26/2024Buying my car through AutoNation Subaru was a three-star experience based on how we felt during and after purchasing our Crosstrek. Working with our salesman was great, but when we met with the financial representative to discuss… warranties, things changed. After we declined the warranties being offered, the financial representative's demeanor shifted noticeably. He seemed upset, shuffling papers and typing on his keyboard aggressively. He also made claims that Subaru’s tech features often fail and that new cars are not guaranteed to last because they are not certified. This made us feel pressured and less confident in our new car’s technology features, putting us in an awkward position. Hassle solving problem
by Stephen Hupper on 06/18/2024After buying a Certified preowned Subaru I found that it had paint and body damage in excess of what was allowable on a Subaru Certified Vehicle Check List (which I did not receive a copy of at closing). I had to work with with the Sales… Dept. to get the vehicle fixed. I was first told paint damage was not on the certified list. When they realized they were wrong they said they would order me a paint pen. I would not agree to this, and they advised they would fix the problem. When I returned to pick up the car it looked worse than before. I had to return several days later and it was still not done properly. This required a third trip and the issue was still not resolved. I met with the owner of the collision center and was told the car would be fixed. On my fourth visit the car appeared to have been done properly. All in all I made four one hour round trips and was without the car for about 18 days. I did have a loaner car during this time. This was not a major problem and should have been fixed prior to certification and definitely should have been fixed right the first time. I have no complaints other than the above as the purchase and financing of the car went smoothly and trouble free. A quick follow up to my original review. As requested I contacted the General Manager. He stated he had not read the review and had no knowledge of why I was calling. I explained the problems and difficulty getting the car repaired. He was unconcerned, asked no questions or offered any solutions but added he was glad they got it fixed. I will not be returning to this dealer or company for any follow up work or service.

Happy new Forester owner
by Bryan on 10/03/2023Stopped by on a Friday night just to do a quick comparison between a Forester and a Honda CRV we had just looked at.down the road. Christina was very helpful, even thought we were just doing research and felt bad kind of wasting her time.… After the visit, did some research and figured a Forester (Premium) would meet our needs. Since they only had a couple in stock, and not with the color we wanted, we figured we'd just go in and place a deposit on one coming in within the next month. Bryan, our rep using our Costco benefit, mentioned they just got a Forester Sport released for sale and do we want to have a look. It was a step up from the Premium we were looking at, but it had just what we wanted and with the discount, was still in our price range. We purchased it on the spot. In fact, they were surprised we even take it for a test drive. Mike the GM insisted we at least drive around the lot. As usual on a Saturday, it takes a bit of time, but everyone was friendly and helpful and we had a great experience.
