Service tech didn't return multiple requests for information
by bmw3guy on 12/01/2023I brought my older BMW to BMW of Mountain View for recall service, which they did complete promptly and free of charge. My issue lies in that I asked a couple times in the preceding few days if I'd be getting a loaner car, so I can plan my… day around it, since I am leaving in the middle of the workday to get the service done. I don't mind not getting a loaner car, it is a free service after all, I just needed to know to plan around it. I called three times to get a response and was told every time that my tech was busy and would call me back. He never called me back. Best buying experience

Going To Gush About My New M3!
by Smokin' Joe on 11/23/2023I know this review is long overdue, but I've been uber busy and just now able to sit down at my computer and tap one out. I recently leased a gorgeous 2023 BMW M3 which I had configured on the BMW website. When I was done designing my car,… I sent the specs to my very good friend, Mr. Joe Wahler who is the leasing manager at BMW of Mountain View in Mountain View, CA. My brothers and I have known Joe for over 20 years, and all of us have leased vehicles from him in the past, so we consider him a family friend. Joe is a very competent, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional person, and also a really great guy! When Mr. Wahler received my configuration in April of 2023, he indicated to me that due to supply chain issues and parts availability, the car would not be ready until about November or December. I was not too happy about waiting for the car for so long, but I knew that it was beyond Joe's control, so I waited for him to contact me when the car was ready. Not too long after that, Joe contacted me stating that he was able to move up the delivery date to September or October and I was elated! So again I waited for delivery. About mid-August of 2023, Joe contacted me with great news that the car was finished and on its' way to me from Germany and would be at the dealership in a couple of weeks! I was absolutely overjoyed! Joe kept me informed on the status of the car, and finally at the end of August he contacted me to come in and take delivery of my beautiful M3! When I arrived at the dealership, Mr. Wahler has all the documentation ready so I wouldn't have to spend a ton of time waiting for the paperwork to be prepared. I signed on the dotted lines, and after a BMW "Genius" spent a little time showing me the features of the car. I was on my way shortly after that. I can't say enough about what a consummate professional Mr. Wahler is...he knows his stuff, is patient and experienced, and answered every question I threw at him with utmost certainty. He was very thorough and explained everything to me to my satisfaction! I can and most definitely will recommend BMW Of Mountain View to others, and I'll tell them to go see "Big Bad Joe"! LOL I live about 40 miles form the dealership and there is a BMW dealer much closer to my home, but I'll gladly drive the extra miles to do business with my friend Mr. Wahler and BMW Of Mountain View. They are a great bunch and the store is well run and efficient. They run a tight ship there. Excellent service for my new 2023 M3!
by Smokin' Joe on 11/23/2023I just want to say how pleased I was with my recent experience at BMW Of Mountain View! I leased a beautiful 2023 M3 a few months ago and I brought it in for its' 1200 mile service. I was immediately greeted and attended to...I didn't have… to wait for a greeter to approach me. I was then introduced to my service advisor, Justin Wyatt who was pleasant, cordial, and very professional! He prepared the paperwork promptly and he answered some questions I had with utmost knowledge and competence. He also brought in a BMW "Genius" named Mike Gesner who answered a few questions I had that Justin was not able to answer for me with all certainty. Both know what they are doing, and my experience was one that I give an A+ to! Within a couple of hours, my car was ready and I was on my way. Previous to the M3, I leased a Mercedes 2020 AMG C63 and even though the sales and service teams were up to my satisfaction, I just wasn't that crazy about the car to the point I was happy when I turned the car in at the end of the lease. Before the Benz, I leased a 2018 M3 from my good friend and great guy, Joe Wahler who is the leasing manager there. But more on him in another survey. I'm a definitely a BMW guy as Mercedes cars are "over-engineered" for my taste. I felt that that I needed a degree in automotive engineering to figure the car out. Not so with the M3, everything is much more straight forward and less complicated than the Benz. That's why I returned to Mountain View to lease another M3. Thank you for taking the time to read my review, and I strongly suggest that Mr. Wyatt, Gesner, and Wahler receive the accolades they deserve! I really love my M3, and I'm very happy with it! That car is a fire breathing beast, and I will lease another one when my current lease runs out in 2026, or I may opt to keep the one I have now...time will tell.
