  • A Fair Deal with Transparency and Patience

    In this day and age of on line purchases, it’s nice to have an auto dealer willing to sit with you and go over all aspects and options one at a time, and to make sure that you understand each line of the contract. Often this is not the case at other dealerships. I was not pressured in anyway to accept anything I was not comfortable with. Negotiations went well and I felt that I could, ask anything and get an answer quickly! The FI person was nice and I felt that everything was explained to me clearly and no hidden “gotchas”. Overall the experience was less stressful than I thought it would be.

    I was a little reluctant to be approached by a salesman when I walked into the dealership at AutoNation Nissan in Tempe, but the experience we had with Robert was outstanding. Even with the general manager, and the finance guy, there was no pressure at all. They actually let the car sell itself and didn’t have to resort to strong arm tactics. Really appreciated that.

    I feel like I got a fair deal at AutoNation Hyundai Tempe and was treated well throughout the process from sales to finance. Robert over there was great to work with and, since I'm 50+ miles from their location, was able to negotiate the whole deal over text. Even over text we quickly came to an OTD number that I was happy with. I'll definetely be back since I liked working with Robert and we love our new Hyundai.

    Made appointment for service for 2 specific issues 1. Hyundai manufacturer service update 2. Redo improperly installed door trim on all doors and flaw found on drivers door Arrived at appt, promptly greeted by advisor but told the door trim could not be done at their and drivers door flaw would need to be replaced by ordering parts that would not arrive until 11/22/23. I called th Hyundai dealer where I bought the car and of course I would have to go to that service place between M-F to have the door trim replaced and would not order the part for the door until they have seen it. The service center I was at kindly ordered the replacement part for the drivers door and said it is said to arrive 11/22/23. My service appt was completed at least the service update, then brought my car out when a scratch was discovered on the front bumper not present before service. My service advisor took pictures compared to when car was brought in called supervisor and assured me it would be repaired when ordered parts arrived and would arrange loaner etc. I was given contact information to call and check if I did not receive call back by 11/25. I started calling back 11/30 have left multiple messages without any communication, have called the store directly and found I was given incorrect phone number, called the correct phone number left messages and instructed to text number from service appt which I did, finally revived a text back saying she would get back to me later in the day have not heard a peep now 2 days later, sent another text asking for follow-up still have not heard a word. I was actually impressed with my advisor, but not impressed with Hyundai service at all and I would just like my new, very expensive car serviced and flaws repaired in timely fashion without going to multiple appointments and wasting my very precious time. And of course would like damage repaired. I would also ask for some type of status update rather than silence and would also prefer to be told services cannot be provided when I schedule an appointment for a specific service when I am making an appointment especially as this was the second time I scheduled this service and asked an actual person if it could be done when I made the appointment. My advisor was very good, but I will never buy a new Hyundai again in three years I will get another car but will not buy a Hyundai because of the service. I will go back to BMW at least when I buy an expensive car (which was much less expensive than my Ioniq 5 limited AWD) I get timely great service and I am provided not only a loaner car, but I know the stays of my car at all times.

  • Oil change

    Dropped my car off for oil change and was quoted a 3 hour turnaround time. After 3 hours called to find out update if the car was ready and no one called back. Called 3 times still no call back. Finally went to pick up the car after 7 hours and found my car sitting in the middle of the service drive unlocked, with the windows down and the keys in the car. I went inside and the service representative told me my car was in the car wash which it was not and was still dirty. They couldn’t find my keys anywhere so they went to look in the car and found them there. Someone could hve easily taken off with my car. Not impressed with the service or situation.

  • A Very Good Sales Experience

    From the moment Josh G introduced himself until the moment we drove out of the lot with our new car, we felt as if Josh really cared about us as people and not just as customers. He has had amazing follow through in the month since we bought the car and we feel we got the best deal possible. We would definitely purchase again from the dealership if Josh were still there! The only somewhat negative thing was the pressure we felt from the finance guy to purchase the extended warranty. 15-20 minutes of what felt like badgering was irritating.

    I was a first time buyer and was needing to replace my old truck and Mark Webber and AutoNation Hyundai were able to help me. They were able to give me a great vehicle at a price within my budget. They did not push or pressure me into anything I did not need or want. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend using this dealer.

  • Autonation Hyundai Tempe

    Repair was done correctly, but the mechanic tried to sell me a brake fluid change due to alleged contamination. This at about 30K miles, and the system has never been exposed. Perhaps in another 100K miles I might consider this as an honest recommendation. I've owned maybe 40 cars, with several having well over 100K and have never needed to change the brake fluid, much less due to contamination. I won't trust any recommendation from this dealership.

  • Poor Diagnosis Skills

    Brought my car in because it was making a very loud noise in engine area. I explained to service advisor that I had it in another shop and they said a motor mount was loose, showed him the paperwork they gave me. Explained to him numerous times that it only happened when idling out of park. Two days later he e-mailed to say they couldn't duplicate the noise, I told him that was not possible, did they actually drive the car? He said yes. Texted me back and said the tech thought it needed a fuel injection cleaning ($400). I got dropped off to pick up my car three days after I dropped it off. Started it, drove 5 feet and put the brakes on and engine is making the same horrible noise. I called the advisor back over and said "get in the car". We drove 10 feet and I braked and the car rattled like crazy. He says "hum, that does sound loud". He took the car back to the back where in 10 minutes he came back and said "oh your motor mount is crushed". We can replace it and it's under warranty - good news! They fixed it in an hour and believe it or not, car runs beautifully. Three days to fix a motor mount that I told them was loose and charged me $400 for a fuel injection cleaning I probably didn't need. Unbelievable.
