Purchasing Experience
by Blessed_Owner on 12/31/2015This purchase could not have gone more smoothly. Like my prior vehicle purchase from this dealership, I was in and out in less than 2 hours with my new vehicle. There was no pressure, no misrepresentations. I will continue to purchase my… cars from this dealership. From the salesman, the general manager and the finance man, it was top of the line. Great Dearlership and wonderful people!!Wonderful
by Tsaliba12 on 11/25/2015Kris W. Was great. He treated me like a cash paying customer even though I am in the middle of a bankruptcy. He made sure to do everything he could to get me in an Altima knowing that's what I had my heart set on. I have always bought from… Earnhardts because my niece has worked there 15 years but I will never go to them again. Best buying experience I ever had. Thanks for your review! I am so pleased that you were impressed with Kris! I will make sure to pass along your kind words! Bill Brixey, General Manager

Best car buying experience
by momma2005 on 06/02/2015updated 06/17/2015Was in a very tough spot my vehicle engine just blew out the day before. Did not have a lot of money down and walked out of there with a 2014 $ 0 down. My sales person Greg was amazing and so was Jeremy in Finance. Thanks for your review! I am so happy to hear we were able to get you into a car you love! Bill Brixey, General Manager
Look elsewhere
by aztitan1 on 04/05/2015Don't make the mistake that I did and waste your time at this dealership. After spending an hour with James Marshall, I had learned enough. James was very rude and condescending. I will be purchasing elsewhere.I am sorry to hear that you were frustrated with your experience with a member of our staff. I would like to speak with you. I can be reached at 480-994-0301. Bill Brixey, General Manager
Bait and Switch
by jsxterra on 07/05/2009Went to look at new car, not ready to buy but wanting to decide on car that would match my criteria. Talked with charming young salesman who was new on the job. Salesman and his trainer said that they had great deals this weekend and they… could give me an offer with my old car on trade. OK so far. They came back with a much lower price than I would have expected, but with the proviso that it was only good for the weekend. Went home and thought about it overnight. Called next day, made appointment to talk and probably buy. After arriving and talking with same salespeople, found out their story had changed. They would not honor their price, claimed it was approved by a manager that "was gone for the weekend". They could come up with a new higher price, however. Decided that I had had enough of their BS and left. Bought another Xterra the next day at another dealership for a reasonable price.Just the car we wanted.......
by 3311 on 03/28/2009What a professional group of old school car dealer types. Their ability to manipulate a used car experience into a subtle new car purchase was amazing. Including the initial offer they would try to get for you and every breath, every… proposal turned into more money, more expense, more unashamed exploitation with every passing hour (many hours). One just wanted to flee so the purchase of what should be a great experience for a first time car owner turned into the typical car dealership experience of feeling dirty, fleeced, manipulated, and ripped off. The deal was fair but they made you feel as slimy as they are. Great car, meaningless experience. As if you owed them something. I need a shower. "Suck the life out of you" as my friend said. Hi Chris and Caleb![violative content deleted] at Riverview
by chris06422 on 12/01/2008Haha, the above review stole my line - if you want to experience everything that makes buying a car a horrible experience you should go here. First, they actually tried to add to the sticker price with such things as dealer prep, an… extended warranty, etc. An additional $1700+. I was told these things could not be removed - I was not happy so of course "I'll talk to the manager and see what I can do..." (Isn't this routine outdated yet?!?!) Ok, magically all the bs is removed. So on to the finance department.... I had been to dealerships the previous day - I knew my scores and the rates I qualified for. This is the only dealership that tried to really screw me - their rate was 2.5% higher than any I had been quoted at before - and yes, it was through the same bank. -They bad mouthed other people saying that it was likely I would get a call and have to pay the same rate they were offering anyways. -I was told the price of the car would increase if I did not buy it that day (of course the car was also already "sold" as a guy is coming in to buy it tomorrow). -I was told 3 different numbers for how much the dealership was losing on the sale -The woman in finance insisted that she was not adding any juice and showed me the screen saying that the bank had provided the rate and she could not change it - of course later giving me an example she was magically able to change the rate on her screen...the same one that the bank sticks in there and she has no control over. -Woman in finance rudely suggested that my friend who was with me should co-sign (I said he isn't going to because I'm not going to ask him to) -Finance kept saying that I should just take this rate now and then I could refinance in 3 months and get a lower rate...obvious response..."Ok, why wouldn't I get the lower rates offered by every other dealership I have been to and then refinance them lower than that?" Basically, I just wanted a fair deal similar to the financing offered by other dealerships...from the same bank and instead of being honest they just got 3 people together and tried to hustle me into it. I could go on...these people are just the type of [violative content deleted] that will waste your time, lie to your face and try to rip you off non-stop.Bit by the Bollard
by oldernie on 08/11/2008Looking for a 4WD Titan crew cab proved to be the experience of the year. I chose the truck, drove the truck, agreed on the price of the truck, and paid CASH for the truck. While signing the paperwork the detail guys ran the truck into a… bollard scratching and denting the driver side passenger door. I wanted my money returned so I could go and look for a new, undented and scratched up truck. Riverveiw apologized, told me to take the truck, and gave me an "I OWE" slip stating that they would replace the truck with an exact duplicate on the following Monday. Come Monday - no truck. Tuesday - no truck. Finally on Wednesday, they asked why not just fix the truck I was driving. Noting that they did not offer a "bone" to make it worth my while, I asked for the Maintenance + and the Security + packlage. Tom Roberts, Sales Manger, refused and countered with nothing except "the truck would be as good as new!" Wait a minute - I already bought a new truck!! To the rescue steps in Becky Reeves, Customer Service Director. She finally made the "I OWE" document real. Seventeen days after paying for a new truck, I now have a new, undamged truck. She added some gas fill ups and oil changes to the mix as a peace offering - hey I'm easy. I just wanted a new truck - and expected someone to do what they say they are going to do.Buying from Riverview Nissan at Edmund's TMV Price Worked Like A Charm
by rogerkarber on 07/26/2008Today is Saturday, July 26, 2008. At 5:30PM on Thursday, I used Edmunds.com to request dealer quotes on a hard to find Altima Coupe 2.5 with premium and tech packages. Five out of six dealers sent me computer generated thank yous, and the… next day, specific sales people sent me emails asking what options I wanted and generally inviting me to come to the dealership. Not Riverview Nissan in Mesa. Charlie Rickets hunted down the single car in Arizona that met my specific criteria and sent me an email saying he had the car and would meet my price. Being no fool (I've done this with Edumnds four times before), I emailed him a copy of the detailed Edmunds price quote which I cut and pasted right off Edmund's website and into my email, and requested that Charlie email me back the VIN number and confirm the exact "out the door" price. He did both within the hour. At 3:00PM yesterday, I went to the bank in Tucson and got a cashier's check for the exact price, which I took and drove 120-miles to Mesa to deliver. In 15-minutes (I kid you not), we signed paper work and Charlie began expaining how the car worked. At 5:30PM yesterday, I drove the car off the lot. Thank you most sincerely, Edmunds.com, Riverview Nissan Mesa, and especially Charlie Rickets. PS- Ironically, Riverview Nissan bought the car from the dealer who gave me the highest degree of difficulty and grief (actually insulting me repeatedly for no reason), Power Nissan Tempe. Not bad overall
by rrpeterson on 05/08/2008Our purchase a few months ago was pretty decent overall. Initial contact was with the "internet/fleet manager" who we corresponded with online, who immediately handed us off to a regular floor salesman once we were there in person (yeah… yeah, oh here talk to this guy kind of experience) Salesman was nice enough, seemed a bit [violative content deleted] though overall, and very lacking in detail about the cars being sold (didn't know the basic features of any of the models for sale). Sales manager was decent enough, they were willing to work with us on the numbers, and in the end we worked out a deal I think we were both happy with. Finance manager was all smiles until we declined the "extras", then he just wanted to hustle us out (I didn't mind, I wanted to be out as badly as he probably wanted us out). Overall a good experience, total transaction took about 1.5 hours from walking on to driving off with the car.they did right by me
by Laik72 on 12/29/2012updated 06/19/2025The Sales process was perfectly normal. I visited the dealership at night, they sold me the car that night - we were there til 11:30pm. There was some wrangling over price and financing as normal. Everyone was polite, friendly and… attentive. 3 days later the car malfunctioned. It was brand new. 169 miles. The dealership got a loaner out to me immediately on a Sunday evening. The dealership arranged for towing the next day (Nissan Roadside Assistance didn't even have my paperwork yet), but it was a holiday week and so working on repairs was delayed by that. They diagnosed the problem quickly, but by then I was leery of that particular car and told my initial salesman my concerns. Senior management listened and the next day they offered to replace the vehicle. I did not have to be aggressive about my concerns or needs at all (though I was taking comprehensive notes on everything that was happening just in case I needed to build a legal case). They did not have a replacement vehicle that had exactly the same options, so for a significant discount, they upgraded my car and gave me an extended worry free maintenance package for no extra charge. Through the entire process the dealership remained professional and polite and concerned about my needs. They clearly know the value of good vs bad publicity and they made the right decisions all along the way.Beware of bait and switch tactics...
by runner609 on 10/10/2012updated 06/19/2025Unless you are an individual who looks (stereotypically, of course) as though you know a lot about the car buying process, don't put it past these salesmen to use bait and switch tactics. On two occasions, I was pulled to the dealership by… two different vehicles with low mileage and competitive prices--once via online listing and once via my salesman. On both occasions, the vehicles had been "sold" prior to my arrival, meaning that another customer was looking at them and I was not permitted to do so at that time, as I was later told. The vehicles I was shown in exchange were unacceptable to me--according to the vehicles' Carfax reports, one was a previous rental with a high amount of miles and the other had been in a front end accident. Unless you're in a position to take complete control of the situation, or know a person who can go to bat for you when you're looked down upon due to age and gender, then I would suggest avoiding this dealership. My highest recommendation, and I've seen many
by tomerikac on 10/25/2011updated 06/19/2025For the past 2 months I have dealt with over 10 different dealerships from Mesa to Surprise. Repeatedly these dealerships emailed or phoned me great numbers for my trade-in and new vehicle costs. All their numbers changed drastically after… I took the time to drive all the way to their locations. However, Larry Miller Nissan honored their numbers. they were courteous, friendly, patient, hurried me through when I was ready to purchase, and the manager, sales person, and finance agent were very easy to work with. We all know how stressful buying a new vehicle can be but I was made to feel very comfortable. Yes I would recommend anyone buy at Larry Miller Nissan and ask for Jason or Andy to help you out. They are friendly but they are not nice.
by sevey on 06/18/2011updated 06/19/2025I bought I used 06 Nissan Titan on 6/16/2011. I am not very savvy when it comes to buying cars but I thought the price made buying this truck a pretty good deal. First problem was that it took the salesman forty five minutes to find the… keys to the truck. So it took a little while before I was able to test drive it. They made it very clear up front that I was buying the truck as is. The salesman I was working with was very friendly and very nice in answering all my questions. The second problem came into place when trying to buy the truck. The finance individual was very pushy, into trying to have me get a loan through the dealership. I was already pre-approved through another bank. I spent a good twenty five minutes arguing with him telling him I didn't want his loan. So finally I'm able to buy the truck. This is when the third problem occurs. I get in the truck to leave the dealership and it doesn't start. In fact it doesn't do anything, the batteries dead. So I tell the salesman. I'm thinking he will replace the battery. Nope, he offers to give me a jump and reminds me a bought the truck as is. I ended up taking the truck and replacing the battery at Checker which is now OReilly. I also will need to replace the tires but in all fairness I knew about the tires before I bought the truck. One thing I found strange is they didn't fill up the gas tank. Most cars I've purchased from dealerships come with a full tank of gas. I probably wont be going back here to buy a vehicle. It unfortunate this dealership let the little things get in the way of what could have been an easy sale and perhaps repeat business.DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP.
by stephanieaz on 06/06/2011updated 06/19/2025I do not even want to give this sleazy, horrific dealership even 1 star. I decided to buy a car on May 29th, 2011. We got there late afternoon, and they referred me to a "sales lady." She was the rudest, most uninformed salesperson I've… met. She would not show us cars and kept making snarky comments about my job. We had to work with a different salesman. The second salesman lied about what transmission was in the car we bought (he said it was a CVT). They wouldn't show us the exact car we were buying until they shoved all the paperwork in our face saying we need to hurry up and sign it because it was after hours already. Excuse me, but with an investment that is going to cost me over $20,000, I would like to read the paperwork. We drove off, only to find the wrong transmission, burning wires, and the domelight falling off. We took the car back 2 days later telling them the problems. They said we need to get an attorney. After 7 hours of being there, we finally got the exact car we wanted, yeah, but there's a catch. To their dislike, I read all paperwork and inspected the car before driving off. I have had the car 6 days now. I had my first car accident in 5 years this morning. I made 50+ phone calls, and Nissan can't tell me who my car insurance company is or their contact number, even though I PAID NISSAN for a month's worth of full-coverage car insurance. After going in circles talking to Nissan [violative content deleted] who were acting like chickens with their heads cut off, we drove down there and demanded the insurance information. They would not provide it. Mysteriously every single manager is on Monday vacation, and only one person in the entire company can access my records, and she's not in the office. The guy we were cordially speaking with, even though we were livid, was nothing but rude, insensitive, and sarcastic. I'm going to sue that dealership if I paid them for insurance and there is no insurance on the car. I lost a full day's work over this, might not even have insurance, and the guy I hit may even sue me. I am NEVER going to this place again, and I suggest all prospective buyers go to another Nissan so as to avoid getting [violative content deleted] at this place.
