    I do not recommend Capitol Chevrolet in Montgomery Alabama for service work. As a long time customer at this location I have been highly disappointed by the work that they have done on my vehicle. They kept my vehicle for four weeks and did not answer my calls asking why it was taking so long and what they were doing. They overcharged me for work to replace the firewall insulation after a rodent made its nest there. They did not restore my vehicle to factory condition. The amount of work done equated to an hour worth of time yet they kept my truck for four weeks after I approved the work and did not update me on when it would be completed. I called there multiple times and had my calls ignored. This is the 7th and last vehicle I will ever purchase from this dealer ever again. I would give them zero stars if possible for the poor service work and bad customer service. Update March 2025: My most recent visit with this dealership's repair and service department was exceptionally positive. This was one of the best experiences I have had in many years of dealing with Capitol Chevrolet. This location is the best in the region for service. They did an excellent job at repairing my truck and restoring it to its previous condition after rodents made their home near my engine. I have purchased several vehicles from this location and highly recommend them. If you need service work, the Manager, William Jones, is the one to talk to. He is very professional and will do everything in his power to ensure that you walk away a satisfied customer. The service department there is highly recommended for routine and specialty work. They have capable mechanics and competent Staff. Ask for Danny Head for an estimate or consultation. They guarantee and warranty their service work. My family has purchased or leased multiple vehicles from this location over the past 30 or more years and will continue to do so in the future.

    Erika and the team quickly identified the issues that brought me in for service. The part needed was ordered that day and the following day I was given a day/time to bring the car back in for job. Work was completed the same day I brought my vehicle back in.

    Terrible.. I took my vehicle in for an oil gasget pan change. My vehicle was kept over night. Upon pickup my windshield was cracked. Apparently, new management does not require service to write down flaws, damage, or imperfections to the visual eye prior to accepting the vehicle. I have a zero deductible insurance. If the damage was mine I could fix. My windshield was not broke & I certainly do not appreciate it. Dana management never came out. Service advised that he did not want to cover the damage. I would not refer to friends, family, or co workers.

    Had a nail in a tire on my truck that was less than two months old. Had to leave the tire to be plugger and drive with the spare for a day.

    I signed up online for $39.00 oil changed, but when my son took my car in for me he was charged for a $57.00 oil change. They also did not vacuum out my car as promised online.

    First day i took my truck in for an oil change and because the AC didnt work, Rob Kimbrell tried to get me to pay $89 for a diagnostic , when i refused he acted as if he was doing me a favor because it was close to my warranty, after waitting 4hrs for my truck i got it back only to find the the problem wasnt fixed,so i called when i got home and was told by Rob that he was sorry for not explaining that it was late and they couldnt get to it that day but he left a note that explained that i could bring it back at no charge other than the wasted time,so two days later i took it back only to find out that they would get to it sometime after lunch, mind you they only told me this after i slept in the lobby for 3hrs so i took my truck and went home the fixed it the thrid time i took it to them and to top it off i didnt need any favors, the truck was recalled for the AC the exact issue i brought it to them for, now they have seviced my truck each oil change and they never found an issue, i may never buy a chevy again but without a doubt i cant spend a dime with [non-permissible content removed] at Capitol Chevrolet

  • Sleazy Service Salesman

    The failure to complete work requested, the attempt to charge me anyway, and the complete lack of communication were only topped by the service salesmen's active attempts to garner pity for his personal situation. Car was at the dealership all day, with an appointment, and they couldn't even replace air filters and wiper blades, not sure they even changed the oil I was charged for.. Oil life was not reset?

    I sound like a broken record but my Service Writer Chris Kinard always greats me by my name and most importantly let's me know when my vehicle should be ready and then calls me when it is ready, usually same day of course! Most folks dread taking their car to the shop for any reason, Chris makes it painless! All Dealerships need more employees like Chris!

    Routine service for my 2014 Tahoe went very smoothly. The online appointment process is very easy. The only difficulty is that the email reminder system is not in sync with the online appointment system. I did get several additional emails even after I had an appointment set up. Service was quick and on time. Very friendly service reps.

    My service Writer Chris Kynard, was waiting on me when I arrived, he called me as soon as they realized they would need to order a part, knowing that I needed my truck to work. He told me to come pick it up and he would call me as soon as he part arrived, which he did on Monday and scheduled me right in, then called me as soon as it was ready! Great Job Chris! Thanks

    Went in for an oil change which was done correctly, however my tires were pressurized between 35 - 42 lbs, all four different. When I arrived they were at the recommended 30 psi. High uneven pressure is not good on a Corvette. Active handling system and rock hard ride all the way home. Yes, I did see the tech airing up my tires! Very careless and lack of safety concern.

    Cant complain about the flushes done on the car but my car was scratched from what appear to be where the mechanic rubbed on the car. Now I have the touch up paint out and am buffing the car. So I am not Happy about this at all..
