The staff in the service department were very helpful. They had all my information ready and got me registered very quickly. I was on my way with virtually no wait time.

We receive excellent service from Moses Fiat every time. The staff is some kind and we feel that we can rely on them to provide the best service and at a reasonable cost. We purchased our first Fiat and we are getting ready to purchase a more expensive Fiat through Moses Fiat because of their excellent service, willingness to work with the customer and friendliness. We absolutely love the 2012 Fiat Gucci and look forward to getting the 2016 Fiat Trekking Model

I had my vehicle in both the body and service depts., so I am not sure which one this survey is about. However, my experience with both was very good. David in the body shop was great and I also dealt with a man in the service dept. that was very good (think he was the dept. manager), but I fail to remember his name. My only criticism goes back a few months. My car was ready to go out of warranty at 35,500+ miles and my engine check light came on. I called and tried to get my car in but there were no available appointments for a week. I told the lady my situation (ready to go out of warranty) and all I got was "I'm sorry but we don't have any earlier appointments". I was told by my "normal" garage that they thought they should offered to make note that I tried to make the appointment before going out of warranty so I would be covered, but that did not happen. Of course, I did not push the situation, but frankly I had no intention of ever taking my car back there. Only because I got hit by someone and their insurance suggested I take it there and the damage landed me in both depts. did I come there. In the end it only cost me around $200 to get the engine check light issue resolved, but it could have been something more costly and it really left a bad taste. Both departments did a good job. You can't even tell that my vehicle required paint work.

Outstanding service as always. The reason I have purchased so many Fords from this dealership.

As I stated before the service was great...the staff friendly. .but charging my credit card 3x instead of once is costing me a 400.00 issue. Unfortunately it's harder to fix than it did for them to screw up. ..not happy. .and has put me in a difficult situation.

Moses Ford/Lincoln was again exceptional servicing my 2013 Lincoln MKX. I received a loaner Lincoln because they had to order parts for my car and kept it for a few days. They are top-notch in servicing my car and giving me their utmost attention to my needs with my Lincoln. Beverly Dawson

Very friendly and expedient. Only wish there were more options in the waiting area. More reading materials, refreshments, comfortable seating, etc., but all in all we were comfortable and treated well

  • The WORST service experience ever - AVOID if at all possible

2.8 out of 5 starsby alpanjay on 09/30/2008

We moved to West Virginia with our BMW X5, and boy were we in for a surprise when we tried getting service for it from Moses BMW in St. Albans/Charleston. Here is how the typical service experience worked: We live about an hour away from the dealership, and their service was only open normal business hours, so for any kind of service we had to give up our regular productive work, and take the car to them. It typically took an hour to get there, an hour to come back and a couple of hours there, all in all half a day wasted. Now after this, they would typically not have the part in stock, so we go home, and repeat the process again after a few days when they do get the part - another half a day off from work - leave the car there to be fixed, ask my spouse to leave work and come get me (another two hours wasted). And then when the work is done, repeat the process and waste another few hours - times two people - to go get it back. When we asked for a loaner, we were told that "since you did not buy the car here from us, we don't HAVE to". Of course the fact that we did not buy it from them because we moved from a different state and could not possibly buy from them because we did not live here did not make any difference to them. They did have a loaner program, but it was only for cars purchased from their dealership. After going through this experience multiple times, we finally talked to the service manager and told him that we had two luxary cars, a BMW and a Mercedes, neither brought from here becuase we moved to here. The Mercedes dealership sends someone to the hospital (from a different state), gets our Mercedes from the parking lot, leaves a loaner for us, get our car serviced/fixed, washes and vaccumes it, and brings it back to us, without us lifting a finger. And we have not wasted any of our time for this. Compare that to the BMW, where we waste half a day times three. This was not what we expected from a luxary car dealership. His answer was again the same, "You did not buy it from us, so we don't have to - had you bought it from our dealership, we would do the same as the Mercedes dealership" When I said I did not buy from you because we moved here from a different state and could not possible buy from you becuase we did not live here, but if this is the attitude you have, you are not making me want to buy from you when we do decide to buy our next car, thier answer was - could you beleive it - "if you want a BMW, you have no choice - we are the only dealership in the state" They were right, it was like living in Russia, you had a choice of one out of one, and they knew it and did not think they had any reason to provide good customer service. So even though we liked our BMW, we could not live with this dealership service levels any longer and we decided to get rid of the BMW. Our experience is only with the service side, not sales, but we will not give them any of our business if this is how they treat their customers. If you have a choice, avoid this dealership at all costs. Bottom line, great car, lousy dealership!!
    • I too bought my BMW from another dealer (in Virginia) but they treated me like royalty when I was there for service. After my first visit I started using the valet service. I live two and a half hours away and they come get my car and leave me with a new BMW loaner for as long as it takes to fix my car. Then bring mine back all for only $75. The folks there have always been courteous and professional. Best dealer experience I have ever had.

  • We wont be back to Moses BMW. Horrable Customer Service

This place is horrible and we will never go back. You know you are going to have issues when you walk in and see all the empty display cases. That must have been the reason I drove 3.5 hrs. and didn't get all the lights fixed that I told them I needed fixed a week before. They also didn't have air filters in stock for the car so I have to go back to another dealer. I called Charlottesville, VA and they had all this stuff. They said bring it in that day. I left multiple VM for Moses and got nothing back. They had me drive up in a blizzard to fix 1/2 of the issues and then wanted us to come back on Wednesday like it was no big deal. This place will never get my business, and come to find out this is common for them. I have since asked some other BMW owners in the area and they all said never go to Moses. It was all I could do to get the WORTHLESS pars dep. to let me have the privilege to buy some floor mats and a plate for the car. I did call a manager and he actually returned my call. He was in sales - all he could tell me was that they were rated in the top 10% of all BMW dealers. Wow - I wish he could see how they treat us when when we go to other BMW locations. Bottom line they treat you like crap and they don't have anything is stock. This was all service and part issues as far as sales go - I don't know - they never called me back and they didn't bother to help me with any of the cars as my wife and I looked them over for over an hr. - inside and out. I guess they didn't know that we were interested in buying an M3. They need new Management and new help.
    • Follow up - My wife and I have since taken the X5 to BMW of Charlottesville, VA - Just as I suspected we received amazing service as we have at any other BMW location aside from Moses BMW in St Albans, WV. Charlottesville, VA BMW went out of there way to take care of us and make sure that all of the maintenance was up to date. The parts were in stock, the people were super friendly and the care was cleaned inside and out including a hand wax. Moses did wash the outside of our car and I guess we didn’t ask them to do the inside. Any dealer we have been to has always done the inside and out so I just figured it was standard. I could not get Moses St. Albans, WV BMW to put the floor mats in that I bought from there parts dep. or the plate I got for the front. You would think that if you car was right there in the shop and you were to drop $175.00 on floor mats and a bmw license plate that they would have decency to offer to install them. Now there sending me notices that they ordered the parts that they didn’t have the first time around. I understand that, not every dealer will have every part in stock but they should have had at least 1 of the 2 that were needed. Not to mention why would they order parts when I specifically told them I would not be back again and that we would be driving to VA to have the job completed? I just wish they would get it together at Moses so that I could feel good about giving a WV dealer our business. They need to go out and see what other dealers are doing and, get more involved with each and every person that calls in or walks in that door.
