  • Smooth Experience

5 out of 5 starsby ybhamster on 05/03/2025

My sales people were Edgar and Will. From the first phone call to the dealership, they were our stewards through the entire process. They were knowledgeable and helpful. They made my family and I feel like our time was valuable. They did their best to make the process efficient and worthwhile. All the staff there helped each other. It made buying a new car easy. I will recommend them to all our families and friends.

We went into the dealership sure of what we wanted but unsure of pricing and availability. I had never purchased a new car before and was very apprehensive about coming in. Thomas made the car buying experience easy and stress-less. We didn't even realize that we were there for over 2 hours. He found what we wanted and was able to get it later the same day. Two days later we finalized the purchase and happily drove our new vehicle home. Thank you.

  • They're okay. Not going back.

    2 out of 5 starsby MikeR112233 on 01/19/2017

Overall: Pleasant to deal with in person, but you have to be unreasonably persistent to get things from them, especially after the sale. Make sure every promise is IN WRITING! I've got to admit that in person, they were one of the more fun dealerships to work with. The actual purchase of the car was easy. It's really everything after that where it went south. During the purchase, we agreed on them throwing in 1) a paint pen so I could cover up scratches on on this used car, 2) a spare key, and 3) a cargo mat for the trunk. They assured me that I didn't need to put these on the signed, "We Owe" sheet since they were small items and would be no problem. The paint pen was ready when the car was. Sweet! In the weeks that followed, I left voicemails, emails, and text messages (averaging 1-2 per week) with my salesman regarding the spare key and cargo mat and never got a return call. On the three occasions I got him on the phone, he said "let me beat up on my boss and I'll get back to you soon". He never called back. The next time I got him on the phone, he said he'd been calling the wrong number, which I doubt since I left my number in the voicemail every time and he has texts from me (which I know work because he responded to them prior to the sale). They also said they'd call me when my license plates came in. I never heard from them. Finally, 3 days after my temporary license/permit for the car expired (which I think was ~1.5 months after the sale), I called them, asked to speak to a manager, and they said they had the plates and spare key ready. I'm still waiting on that cargo mat.

Bob M was very professional and spent a good amount of time helping us find exactly what we didn't realize we wanted. We have all ready recommended him to many of our friends and co-workers.

  • Internet deal

4 out of 5 starsby tallenjackson on 02/08/2016

I was very pleased with the interaction I had with my negotiations via the internet and over the phone. Especially with Brian Elich. The one area I thought would have been simpler and ready for me to finalize the deal was upon arrival at the dealership. I had secured preapproved financing, I had provided all the necessary documentation via e:mail accept one document which I provided when I arrived. I truly expected all the paperwork to be ready for signature and my new vehicle cleaned, gassed and ready to go. However, I spent close to 3 hours at the dealer mostly waiting. One the paperwork was ready, the financing manager made things easy and that went fast. Then, I waited almost 45 minutes for them to clean the vehicle. Which should have been done while I was finishing the paperwork.

  • Extremely Satisfied

    5 out of 5 starsby DanielNansel1 on 01/20/2016

We knew what we wanted and talked with Brian Elich. He did not try and upsell or change our mind on anything and went out of his way to help out. The dealer swap was complicated and everything went smooth for us.

  • Great Experience

    5 out of 5 starsby R_Ethridge1 on 01/03/2016

Conor did a great job finding the vehicle I was looking for and then went above and beyond after the sale to make sure we were happy! It was a pain free buying experience.

  • Mazda 3 Purchase Review

5 out of 5 starsby tjknewcastle on 07/10/2015

Loved the focus on helping us rather than "bugging us" at the dealership. We didn't have to talk to anyone until WE were ready. Friendly salesman. Good training on new car. Informative salesman - willing to help us make an informed decision in any way he could.

The entire situation was very around me, not the dealer, not the car, and not the sale. It was all very much about what I wanted to do. I felt in control the whole time. Even when just casually chatting with 3 or 4 of the sales people in the office, it was just friendly chatter, and not filled with pressure or (excessively negative) stress.
  • Great Experience with the Internet Department!

    4.6 out of 5 starsby mirab2 on 11/18/2010

I had a great experience purchasing my Mazda 3 at Lee Johnson Mazda in Kirkland. It started with Pete over email and then Nick at the dealership. The entire process lasted just about 2 hours. We had already agreed on the price of the car, so it was just the trade in value to negotiate. The price seemed fair and just as promised, they didn't try any games (which I've found can be the case when you use your own financing). I'd definitely recommend the dealership and Internet department to others.
  • Come Prepared, Leave Happy

I went to another Mazda dealership, University Mazda and had a horrible experience. I've reviewed them as well, but regarding Lee Johnson Mazda, I have to say I was pleased. At University, I test drove, wheeled-and-dealed, was misled, and angered...then recieved phone calls that were childishly accusing and begging at the same time! I refused to go back, but loved the car. Came home and researched the exact options I wanted and found that Lee Johnson had it. Met with Internet salesperson Pete Berkey, asking for him by name because of positive reviews on Yelp regarding his professionalism. We came to him, told him the car we wanted. Told him we didn't want a test drive, as we had done that the day before. Told him what we wanted to pay, he told us the lowest he could go. Having done this dance at the previous dealership, we knew it truly was the lowest he could go on a 2011 Mazda 3 Sport model. None of this "Oh gosh, I dunno, you're breakin' me here, I'm trying to put kids through college, I only make X amount on this, let me go ask my boss..." crap. We met somewhere in the middle and were truly pleased. I believe I was out with my new car in a few hours. Pete also took the time to run me through thier service department, where they give free loaner cars to you for the length of however long you own your car. And free carwashes for as long as you own your car. He also sat with me and explained my instrument panel to me as well. Really nice guy, straight to the point. My advice is to do all the research you can, down to the color and options. Know that they'll try to put you in last year's model because due to incentives, they make more money moving those off the lot than next year's newer model. Be realistic: you can't get a super deal on a 2011 if it's October of 2010, yah know? So know what you really want, research availability, and go in armed with knowledge and stick to your bottom line. Oh, and ask for Pete.

I was referred to Lee Johnson Chevrolet when I used Dealix to get me in touch with a dealer who was supposed to provide me with a quote and other information. I stated in e-mail that I was preparing to buy a 2010 Camaro 2SS, and stated a preferred color. I got this reply: Steve, there are only 2 Camaros simlar to what you want within 500 miles, both Imperial Blue both with sunroofs. You can certainly factory order on, wait time approx 8 to 12 weeks. Let me know if you want details on the 2 available, one does have the appearance package. These were cars I had already seen online through the Chevrolet site, so this wasn't really any new information to me. I asked what kind of price they were asking (I was prepared to pay MSRP, but was hoping they might ask for less initially) He replies saying that we should wait later until I'm ready to purchase (this was about a month ago, and I will be buying the car at the end of this month (ie: I asked about this 1-1/2 months before purchase). I'm ok with that, and decided to wait until yesterday to get back to him because I will be buying the car next week, or perhaps the week after at the latest. Yesterday, I send an e-mail, saying I'm still prepared to buy the car soon, and asked how long it would take to install the subwoofer which was a dealer installed option. I explain my financial situation, and that this car would be paid for in full (no loan). I also asked what the best form of payment when I buy the car is (cashiers check, do they transfer directly from bank, etc). I've never bought a new car before, nor paid full price...so they should be able to provide details so I can plan on having this ready to go. His reply? "Steve, there is only 1 Imperial Blue Camaro 2SS available within 500 miles, and it has beige interior." Nothing else. This is also something I still new since I've been checking the window stickers online for the last month, as I've been salivating about buying this car. This is probably the easiest sale he'd ever get, except he isn't answering my questions. I reply, asking for an answer to my question, as well as posing a few other questions. I wanted to know if they had winter wheels and tires in stock, or should I just buy them now. I wanted more details on the dealer installed striping that was mentioned on the Chevy site, as I didn't know if this was painted, or a sticker...or what. I wanted to know what needed to be done to get the car to their lot so I could make the purchase. And lastly, I let him know I was prepared to pay MSRP. I still had not received ANY quote whatsoever....though no specific car had been discussed yet...I had been hoping he was say either MSRP, or a few hundered bucks under MSRP. I wasn't too worried on the price part though since no specific cars were being discussed. This morning, I receive a canned e-mail saying it's a voucher for 100 dollars off the "low quote I've already received". Form e-mail, and I still hadn't received a quote. Whatever. Form letters happen, but I also still hadn't received answers to my previous questions. I send another e-mail as follows: --- I am speechless. I have been trying to get details and information from you about purchasing a car since October 22nd. In that time, I have asked some questions, most of which have never been answered. Let me summarize: 1) I wanted to discuss price on a couple of vehicles, but since the date of purchase was over a month off I can understand not getting into specific details on that. We'll let this one slide. 2) In response to each of the e-mails, I have been given what I now believe to be a canned response, each time saying a vehicle in the area was available. Nothing more. 3) I wanted to get into details as to the best way you would take payment. I've never received an answer. What I had been looking for was...should I bring a cashiers check, was there a way to transfer payment from the bank, etc.
  • Avoid Lee Johnson, go to another dealership that values customers!

2.4 out of 5 starsby lightmotion on 04/09/2009

I had originally purchased my 2005 Mazda 3 from Lee Johnson and was extremely interested in upgrading to the latest and greatest. I picked out a vehicle, test drove it, and discussed the price with salesman, Gabriel T. Gabriel was helpful, I informed him that I needed to discuss the pricing with my family and that I would be back with them later in the evening. Come to find out, another dealership across town was offering the same car (but with a higher trim level) for only $289.00 more. Once I presented this to Gabriel @ Lee Johnson, he immediately took the quote I was given by him, tore it up and proceeded to storm back to his desk to retreive my registration and key to my existing car. I gave Gabriel and the sales manager my offer (now less than what the other dealership was offering since it was a trim model below theirs) and the proceeded to argue with me and insult me and my family. The outlandish and childish behavior, not to mention the lack of respect has lost my business. I was a loyal Lee Johnson customer, but I now have no problem at all taking my cars across the lake to a dealership that values me as a customer.
  • Great salesmen, no hassle, impeccable service!

I got my awesome new 2008 Mazda3 i Touring Value from Lee Johnson's a couple of weeks back. I intially contacted them via email and their responses were always quick and relevant. More importantly, I was never pressurised into buying from them - no incessant phone calls/emails, and no pressure even when I went down to their dealership for a test drive. I took about a week after the test drive to decide that I really wanted to go ahead with Lee Johnson. They also gave me a great discount and took care of my loan paperwork as well. What's more? I get free carwashes for life! All in all, it was a great experience doing business with Lee Johnson and I'd recommend anyone looking to buy a Mazda to go to them.

Due to an auto accident that was not my fault we were suddenly in the market for a new car. My wife and I decided that we were going to look at either a Ford Focus or a Chevy Aveo. At Lee Johnson when we looked at the Aveo we decided that we didn't like it so we looked at the Cruze instead. Our salesman, Brian Elich let us test drive one and we liked it. We had already decided that we would not be buying a car that day and that we were going to be looking at other dealers to see what other deals we could get. While at the dealership, Brian told us that they had another Cruze that was their weekend special that didn't have some of the options that the one that we test drove had so was cheaper. There was no pressure to buy at that moment like there was at other dealerships that we visited that day. After visiting other dealerships we decided that we wanted to buy the Cruze that was on special. We called Brian and let him know that and he said that the car was still there. We told him that we would be there the next day to buy it. When we got there the next day, Brian told us that after he left for the day, another dealership in the Lee Johnson family had come and gotten the car and sold. He then worked with the manager of the dealership and got us the car that we test drove the previous day at the same discount as the weekend special. We left with a new car. We had used the dealership before for maintenance on our Saturn Relay after Saturn went out of business and were pleased with the service we got which is why we went to them for a new car. We would use this dealership again. They are a big lot and have a lot to choose from and as I said before there was no pressure to buy on the first visit.

Had I wonderful experience working with Brian Elich at Lee Johnson of Kirkland. Took him 15 minutes to put me into the car, that best suited all my needs. Was very impressed with his enthusiasm and knowledge of everything cars, important characteristics to have if you are going to be selling them. Will be returning in the future, for my husbands replacement car, and will seek out Brian for his outstanding customer service, no problem giving this excellent salesperson a 5 star rating. Also... I love my free car wash pass (for life) perk, was the icing on the cake!!! I am thrilled to now be a part of the GM Family!!!!
