Not your average car buying experience

I worked with Tyson Stanley for the better part of a day searching through the vast… selection of cars until we found one that was perfect. Not only did Tyson put in extra hours to make sure I got what I needed but he really knew his stuff. Furthermore, I never felt pressured even though I was working on a limited budget. I did my research online and decided that I might be interested in a Jeep as an upgrade to my 10… year old Honda Passport. I was being a bit particular about the options that I wanted and Amelia's personal car happened to be just what I was looking for. We took it out for a drive and I fell in love with it. (If you haven't driven a Jeep Wrangler lately, you're missing out.) She found its twin at another dealer in the area and had it delivered to their lot the following day. If you're looking for a friendly, low pressure car buying experience, go see Amelia, she'll take care of you. Just be aware that you're going to get the standard upsell push from the finance guys.Tyson Stanley

I went to Westhills Jeep looking to buy a used car and met Tyson Stanley. Tyson really took care of me. He had answers to any and all questions… I had promptly and efficiently while being very proffesional. As I said I am new to the area and Tyson took it upon himself to let me know about local things to do and I really appreciated that. If anyone has any doubts about where to buy their next car than this is the place to go. Best place you could go!First time car buyer

He showed me around and i wasn't all to interested in buying a "car",… then he took me to look at a dodge dakota (which i love now) , we sat down talked about and then next thing i knew i got the truck! I parked in my driveway 4 days ago and the rain started, after 4 hrs I went to put it in the garage and there was 1/2 inch of water on both… sides in the front. The one time I had my oil changed there they called me two hrs later and had forgot to replace the oil fill cap.New Jeep Grand Cherokee

When I arrived at the CJD dealer I wasn't sure what to expect being the first time I was looking at cars. I walked inside and met Cody. He was nice, informative, and had the… answers before I even had to ask the questions. We went on a couple of test drives and I was sold. We went back chatted for a while and he should me exactly the car I was after. I have enjoyed the car from the moment I got it. Because of a prior obligation Cody actually drove it 30 minutes to my work and dropped it off for me. This is a great place with great people and I know that if any mentions to me they are looking for a new car I know where I will suggest.We're happy to hear about your great experience with us! John is a fantastic salesman, and a brilliant bloke. Our first purchase from them was a Jeep Rubicon, which we dealt… with them for from the UK as we were moving from one country to another. This second car is a used PT Cruiser, very clean, very nice, just as expected. We came back to West Hills for the second car because of their integrity in dealing with us for the first one. John is a genuinely friendly man, very straight up in what he can and will do for his customers, and he will do whatever it takes to make YOU feel comfortable and happy about your purchase. They want customers for life, not just a customer for one car. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are the only dealership I will go to from now on.Thank you for being a loyal customer! Breath of fresh air
by jay1029 on 07/07/2013updated 08/04/2025After an exhausting and aggravating experience buying a new vehicle at a Jeep dealership (north of Seattle, and reviewed by me too) I was back in the market for another one. I went to West Hills Jeep and found the car buying experience one… could only dream of! My sales guy, John K., was amazing. From the moment he introduced himself to the time I drove my new Wrangler off the lot he was polite, professional, and treated me as if I were a friend. Throughout the entire car buying process, not ONCE did he pressure me into any decisions or uncomfortable situations, which seem to be common practice elsewhere. While we were negotiating prices and discussing options John gave me a tour which included him introducing me to his manager, the parts store, and service department. He made sure I was comfortable and went above and beyond to provide me with his utmost attention. The day after I bought my Wrangler from John I came back to the dealership to return some paperwork to the finance office and pick up a couple accessories from their parts store. This time I brought my wife and 2 sons along with me. I was so excited about my time spent at West Hills and was so impressed with the family-friendly comfortable environment that I had to bring them in to share my experience. My wife and oldest son were treated to coffee, refreshments, John making fresh popcorn for my 6 year old, and then went and got him a cool surprise too. My wife also got the opportunity to see the parts store, service department, and meet some of the awesome staff that were there. Best service I have recived
by Lawman13 on 07/29/2013updated 08/04/2025I recently retired from the navy as a E-6 which doesn’t provide the greatest retirement check for those who might wonder, at any point my wife and I hand noticed our 2007 Chrysler town and country was getting tired. And consider getting a… new one. That’s when we met our sales Associate Mr.Dallas H. we figured at this time it wouldn’t be a possibility just being retired and in the process of getting my new employment. Mr. H. never once treated us with anything but a professional demeanor. Not thinking we had a chance I left the dealership but later that month noticed the 2013 Grand Caravans were on summer clearance, we returned to the dealership and Mr. H. assisted us in a timely and respectful manner and to our true disbelief drove out of the dealership with the 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan that met our family of five's needs and budget. I highly recommend them to anyone who might think their no chance they could get a good deal on a new or newer vehicle, these folks truly care about your car buying experience I was NEVER pressured to buy anything. I can remember the last time that happened over the last 20 plus year I have purchased vehicles.We're so glad to hear that we were able to help you get the 2013 Grand Caravan! by ronkirse on 03/12/2011updated 08/04/2025My experience with West Hills CJD & specifically Thomas Kim was an excellent experience. The typical expectations one of going back and forth between your sales man to the manager was limited to two offers and two counter offers before the… price was agreed to. Thomas was excellent in his follow up and communicating to the sales manager my requests. When the car was inspected and items that were indicated as operational were found to be non in working order, they were repaired. Three days after my purchase, another mechancial mal-function occurred which was no fault of the dealership. I purchased the car with no warranty so the dealership was under no obligation to make the repairs. I'm sure they really couldn't afford to if they wanted too because they had already reduced the price of the vehicle over 20% from it's original sticker price, made over $1,200 in negotiated repairs yet they still offered a free full tank of gas and to buy me lunch if I had the repairs made at the dealership. If you can believe this, the story even gets better. The repair was almost $1,000 dollars and the vehicle I purchased was a used Toyota 4Runner. Well, I took it across the street to the HeartLand Toyota dealership, a member of the Haslewood Family of dealers in the West Hills Auto Complex. Nordtsroms has nothing on Heartland Toyota and specifically Ricky Saly, the service advsior I was fortunate enough to have met. I explained to Ricky my story about my purchase and the mechanical malfunction just 3 days later. Ricky took it upon himself to ask his service manager if their was anything they could do since I purchased the vehicle from their sister dealership across the street. The Service manager, Tom Maggerise, approved having the labor waived & just charged me the cost of the parts which saved me over $500! I was blown away that a dealership would think this much of my business to make such a gracious offer. In these difficult economic times, this generosity does not go unnoticed. Their level of service is something Nordstroms should aspire to and the genuine care they give their customers is truly exceptional. I live in Bonney Lake Washington but will drive to Bremerton to have my car serviced because of the integrity, honesty and caring experience I've had with HeartLand Toyota and the Haslewood Auto Family. You guys rock! If I purchase another vehicle, I would go back to Thomas Kim and the West Hills Dodge Family first. I will service my Toyotas with Ricky Saly and would recommend if Bremerton is out of your way he is well worth the drive! My family thanks all of you.mel blanton rocks!

Me and my husband were trying to trade in his car and were having many problems at another dealership so we decided to look other places. We showed up right before closing and were helped my Mel Blanton. He was not… pushy and listened to what we wanted. We found a car that my husband fell in love with! Mel stayed until almost 10pm with us and got all the details worked out. The next day we just signed our paperwork and drove home in our new car! by victrinia on 01/25/2011updated 08/04/2025To those looking for someone to trust… My husband and I worked with Melvin Blanton of West Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge (part of the Haselwood Auto Group). I would recommend him to any member of my family. Which is saying a lot, and here's… why I would... I got a cold call from Mel, because I've been a regular customer of the West Hills service department for years. Mel wanted me to know he would be my personal contact for anything I needed with the dealership. He would facilitate any service needs I had to make sure things were being personally looked after. He then asked me if I was still happy with my current vehicle and if I had any needs in that area. In fact I had been long considering buying a 4x4 truck and replacing my car, since I had just purchased a house. I found that having a car just wasn't useful for me at this point. Mel let me know about various sale opportunities at the dealership and I went ahead and made arrangements to come down with my husband to take a look at what they had available. As soon as we got there we were asked to have a seat and a conversation with Mel, to help him identify what was most important to us in a truck. How we'd use it and what kinds of features we were interested in. All the while, taking notes and making astute observations. We talked numbers about what we were willing to pay, and what they would be willing to give us for the car we had. It was probably a good 30 mins of getting to know us before we even stepped out the door to look at anything. But what a radical difference that time made... we only looked at things which we had specified as being crucial to our truck choice. Recent model 4x4, min 6ft bed, extended cab, air con, cruise, automatic transmission. It didn't take long to decide on what we wanted... and we went home that night with a 2008 Chevy Silverado LT 4x4 extended cad with more bells and whistles than I asked for, in a price point I was very happy with. (Here's where the story could have gone very wrong.... but it didn't. It’s important to know that there is a mission type statement that hangs on the wall next to a portrait of Mr. Haselwood… it’s called “Guiding Principals”. It is a call to each employee to listen intently, stand by their word, keep in mind the bottom line of the company, but do what’s right – even when no one is looking. The first part of this story is the workings of the “Guiding Principals” even everything is easy… the second part of this story are those same principals being applied where the rubber meets the road.) So we drive the truck home, and I’m gushing about how happy I am – and how much I love the truck. It’s about 10:30pm by the time we get home… and when we pull into the drive, the hubby asks…. “So how do we put it into 4wd??” This leads to about 20 mins of flipping through manuals and surfing the web on our android phones for photos of what the dash should look like, only to realize that in fact – we did not have a 4x4. So back to the dealership we go in the morning, as we needed to drop off a check anyway, and we let Mel know we didn’t have a 4x4. All of the paperwork said it was a 4x4, but clearly it was not. This led to something of an odyssey in trying to find a truck that might suit our needs, and still make the price point we had agreed on. Not to mention there were certain features in the new truck we found deeply appealing, so those had been added to the mix of wants. We covered every lot on the Hill, but unfortunately we were not able to find a similar truck to the one we had purchased. I told Mel there was a truck at another dealership in Tacoma I wanted to have a look at as it was very similar to the truck we had purchased. Mel asked us to give him a chance to see what he could do for us and we decided to wait and give him that time. Mel came back and told us they would go to Tacoma and purchase the truck with no strings attached, let us take it for a test drive to see if it was what we wanted. Mel and another employee went and picked up the truck and ultimately we decided we wanted the truck. West Hills made good on the deal we had struck the night before by giving us the truck for virtually the same price (only a $500 increase – which was negated by a lower interest rate they were able to secure us with the lender). You can put a price on a vehicle… you can’t put a price on loyalty and trust. I would trust Mel – and West Hills to do the right thing even when it’s not the easy thing… the Guiding Principals held true. If you want to be looked after and treated right, call Mel, and buy from West Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge. Victrinia R. PS. As the truck was given to us the night they brought it over, we later discovered there were problems (minor ones) and we took it back to get it worked on, having purchased an extended warranty with the truck. We found out later that the items which were wrong were not covered by the extended warranty. West Hills covered the costs of those uncovered expenses. On a whim, drove into the dealership and was immediately impressed with the friendly, low pressure sales… experience. David Bailey and Frank Jeffers took great care of me and stood by their word. They will also meet or beat any competitor on price and my new vehicle is proof. by jdbrook on 07/31/2011updated 08/04/2025It was kinda late (between 6-8 pm) on a Friday night and wanted to see what kind of Jeeps that the dealership had and Mel took the time and showed us (me and the husband) several different Jeeps (like 5 in all) and told us the pros and cons… of each one and letting us decide which one I (we) really wanted to buy. Then Mel did a summary of what it would cost and payment plans. We had no expectation of buying a Jeep that night and Mel understood that and we told him we would be in the next day (Saturday) and we would talk. Well we (me and the husband) had some unforseen things happen and we did not get to the dealership till about 1:00- 1:30 ish and Mel had waited for us. We talked and of course in of talking about price you always hit snags and we talked some more till we (me, the husband and Mel) were at an agreement. After that we were talking to the money fellow and like always when you sign your name to anything it took a few more minutes than normal, but he made it easier by laughing at my husband’s jokes and bantering with him.
