Buying my "unicorn" Golf TDI from a distance
by Gary on 12/17/2018I had been looking for just the right 2015 Golf TDI SEL manual (or sportwagen) all over when I finally found the right one at Lindsay VW. They are about 6hrs+ South of where I live so I tried to keep it simple and did most of my… communication over email. Joshua was the lucky salesman that got assigned to me and was very helpful along the way. I needed clarification on a few points and he had no problem laying everything out for me so I could decide on the purchase. Within a few days the stars aligned and we made a deal. I filled out a much as I could online and everything was quick and smooth when I arrived at the dealership. The car was just as described.Thank you for the 5-star review and for choosing Lindsay VW! Couldn't Have Been Better

Not only was Josh knowledgeable about the Atlas, but he took the time to explain all of the technology that's packed into the vehicle. Working with Josh was like talking to an… old friend. I left a trailer hitch attached to my previous vehicle. He even helped me figure out the best option for financing. Josh went out of his way to drive to the other vehicle lot to retrieve it, all while I waited at the dealership. To me, that's attention to detail when dealing with a customer. Joshua was prompt, thorough and polite in his responses. When we arrived… the day we wanted to purchase a vehicle, we were 30 minutes early but he was ready for us. During the test drive, he was attentive to what each of us was looking for in the vehicle and what we'd want to know. He was personable and showed an interest in our lives and our small family to ensure the vehicle was the best recommendation for us. Then Joshua made the paperwork painless and set us up with Laura who was thorough and helped us get the best payment options. We used the tablet to sign everything which made the whole process quick and easy. Total, it probably took us longer to drive down and back than to actually purchase a vehicle. Above and Beyond Serivce
by Jbgkill on 12/08/2018I booked my appointment with Josh to pick up a certain car on a Saturday, at 5:30, thinking they closed at 8. When I got there, late at 5:45, the car I intended to purchase just wasn't right for me. Josh helped me with a few other choices I… had asked about prior. After looking around for 45 minutes or so, I saw the Golf I ended up purchasing. Josh was great getting the car out and ready for a test drive that sold me on the car. After that it was the typical paperwork and talk about cars. Little did I know, the dealer closes at 6pm on Saturdays amd Josh and his team had been going well beyond there time to help me, the last person in the dealership with my purchase. I never once heard them complain or mention about being past closing time. Their service was top notch and they went above and beyond what they should have. Amazing Car-Buying Experience
by Kirk_Jackson on 11/27/2018My wife had heard good things about Lindsay VW of Dulles from her colleagues; so, when it came time to purchase a new family car, we decided to give it a try. We could not have made a better choice. Our experience was actually… pleasurable, a first in a long line of car purchases over the past 25 years. When we walked in the door, we were met by a very courteous and, as soon proven, professional and knowledgeable salesman, Mr. Simon Chu. I would/will recommend Mr. Chu to anyone as he was my ideal salesman in every respect - immediately offered coffee!; not pushy, able to read customer's actions and body language, truly friendly, etc. The decision to go through with a purchase was easy as Mr. Chu was able to quickly identify the vehicle we wanted, and the price was as good as you could get from anyone. So, Mr. Chu passed us on to the Finance Manager, Mr. David Kim, who very surprisingly turned out to be exactly like Mr. Chu - courteous, professional, friendly, and competent. Needless to say, the experience continued to be pleasant all the way to the end when we drove out of the Lindsay garage in our new VW Atlas. I do not think I can express well enough my pleasure with this latest car-buying experience but hope that any reader will at least get the impression that it was extremely positive all-around. Bottom Line: I recommend Lindsay VW of Dulles to anyone looking for a quality vehicle at a quality price because the service one will likely receive is top-notch. by iboughtacar on 09/21/2018I recently bought a CPO car from Lindsay. I drove from PA to VA to buy the car since there were no models with manual trans in my area. I'm happy with the salesman for the most part and I talked to him about these points before posting… this. I just wish that buying a car could be a crystal clear transaction and not loaded with catches. The dealership charges a $699 processing fee which is ABSURD(but typical for northern VA apparently) and they still charged me the PA fees on top of that. I stated multiple times that the PA fees should be taken out of the $699 VA fee but with no result. When we agreed on a sale price over phone and email I was told that the price was contingent on using VW financing (which was advertised at 2.99% for CPO cars). I already had financing at 3.24% so was happy to save some interest costs. Long story short, I get there and they won’t give me lower than 3.49% financing because of some kickback they get from VW. Then they have the nerve to ask that I pay the loan for 3 months before paying off or refinancing so that they can receive that kickback. How about giving the customer the rate they qualify for?Thank you for your review, and thank you for coming from PA to VA and for choosing Lindsay. Great to hear that you are happy with your CPO VW. No test driving a $40,000 car
by MH20152 on 08/06/2018After several email communications I went to the dealership to test drive a 2018 Golf R with automatic. When I arrived I was told that this dealership "Lindsay VW) does not allow test drives on Golf Rs. I was amazed and asked how is one… supposed to know if they like the car and basically told "through word of mouth, friends who own, etc" Was also told this is a limited edition car and their customers will not buy one with more than 30 or 40 miles on it. First comment, I know it is somewhat limited although a dealership in Gathersburg MD still has 13, but if it is limited, how easy would it be to find someone who owns one to test drive it? I can pay cash for any vehicle on their lot and I find their attitude quite simply astonishing if they expect folks to buy a 40K car with no test driveMH, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your interest in the Golf R; an excellent choice. I am disappointed you didn’t have a better experience with us. As the #1 Golf R Dealer in the United States, our Golf R customers have taught us so much about what is important to them. 1st and foremost they don’t want anyone driving their car before they buy it, and unfortunately VW doesn’t offer a Golf R loaner car program like they do for every other model. I’m very sorry that my team didn’t better communicate with you; we definitely DO allow test drives of Golf Rs, please forgive the misinformation. Great deal on a pre-owned 2015 Golf
by steveosborne on 04/21/2018I was interested in trading and in a 2001 Jetta for a newer Golf, and I found exactly what I was looking for on Lindsay’s pre-owned site. The asking price was $1000 lower than I had seen for similar Golfs with higher mileage on Autotrader.… I worked with Kareen, who did a fantastic job going over the car, and helping me with my trade in. He was super knowledgeable and went out of his way to help me with everything I needed. I worked with Paola in the finance department, she was incredibly flexible and helpful in setting up a payment plan that met all of my needs. My whole experience buying a certified pre-owned car at Lindsay was fantastic.We are so happy to hear that Kareen took excellent care of and was able to get you into the vehicle you desired. This was the Eos we were looking for...
by baiano on 04/15/2018Initially looked at Eos in 2009, but decided on Honda Civic coupe for my wife as 2nd car. After trying a Wrangler as a convertible for 4 years, decided to look at Eos again. Great value hard top convertible w 4 seats giving a little extra… storage. After a Bug, 2 LeBarons. Miata, and Wrangler, that appears to be the handling and ride all in one without luxury car prices. Al was great to work with and always followed up. Even when I started looking at Eos again1-2 years ago. Great experience here!Thank you for the kind review and opportunity to earn your business.
