Best Honda Dealer In VA
by va98926lsbrg on 07/20/2009We visited just about every Honda dealer in Northern VA and two in Maryland. Landmark Honda was the best in every respect. They had the best inventory, the best customer service, and the best price. We dealt with Prisque and Kumar, who… were both a pleasure to deal with. Prisque worked very hard for us. She found us exactly the car we wanted at the best price. We never felt pressured and everything she told us was accurate and honest. Every member of the staff we dealt with clearly wanted to have us to be happy with our sales experience, and we are very happy. The car was delivered to us quickly and in perfect condition. The paperwork was done carefully and efficiently. The showroom, lot and garage are all tidy. We have nothing but good things to say about Landmark Honda.10 OUT OF 10
by bb2203 on 07/21/2009I came to visit Landmark Honda and while looking at the cars KC came over. All i wanted was a brochure and i got one and a test drive. He was honest, kind, and most importantly didnt try to pressure me into a sale of a new car. just… because he was himself and the great service he provided me is why i purchased a new honda accord oh yeah and at a great price. i recommend that any and everyone come to Landmark honda of Rosenthal before buying anywhere else. i give them a 5 all around. my best experience while purchasing a car. EVER.Excellent experience with service dept from 100 miles away
by tomm06 on 06/09/2009I never write reviews but would like to share this for someone who may find themselves in a similar situation. My 19-year old daughter is working in DC this summer, her first time living and working away from home. She called on Sunday… night, a little panicked, because her CRV had died, fortunately at her residence. Yikes; young daughter, distant big city, dead car - a parent's nightmare. I went online and checked the service reviews for Honda dealers near Alexandria and saw that Landmark is rated higher than others. Called them first thing Monday morning and the rep was quick and efficient and gave me the name of a towing company to call to haul the car in (they paid the towing charge and passed it through to my bill with no markup). The rep was very supportive, calling throughout the day to keep me informed. I realized that I was over a barrel; I live a couple of hours away, had no idea what was wrong with the car and needed it fixed right away. I was prepared for an expensive repair and even called two friends who are mechanics to get information to use in grilling the rep when she would inevitably tell me, so I feared, that the repair would be $$$. Instead, she called and said, "A fuse blew, we've fixed it". That seemed too easy. I asked her to have the service people double check everything, not wanting to risk my daughter stalling out on the Beltway during rush hour. After hanging up from that call, I thought, "You idiot, you've just given them every reason to find an expensive solution". An hour later, the rep called back. "The alternator is fine, the battery is holding a charge, the terminal connections are solid, and the belts are in good shape. It was just a fuse." Unbelievable! It shouldn't seem extraordinary to be treated honestly and fairly, even at long distance when the other party has the upper hand, but it is not common these days, in my experience. The final touch came at the end of the day when my daughter took the Metro to pick up her car. The nearest station is about a mile from the dealership, so Landmark sent their shuttle over to pick her up - no charge. I had never heard of Landmark Honda before googling 'Alexandria Honda Dealers' on Sunday night. I live 100 miles from DC and it's unlikely that I will ever deal with them again. They knew that and treated me, a stranger 'passing through' so to speak, as well as they would one of their best, repeat customers. If I do need to have a car repaired in DC again, I will use Landmark in a heartbeat.Terrible Service (Lies, Undervalued Trade-In, Lack of Professionalism)
by daphillvt on 06/02/2009I don't even know where to begin. TERRIBLE. All is good until they have your money. Salesmen are rude, unethical, pushy, and straight up LIE. My trade-in was severely under-valued and the 2 salesmen (Ahmed and "Mo" Ali) both made… promises as to what they would fix with the car I was buying but did not follow up on these promises (which were even written on paper). I was told to come in 3 separate times to get a scratch fixed on the car that they said they would handle but each time brushed me off and the final time they gave me touch-up paint to do it myself. Realy, Landmark? Really? Do I look like I want to paint, sand, and buff a car and risk screwing it up worse than it was? Do yourself and favor and avoid this [violative content deleted] dealership. Also, when I came on my third visit to "fix" what they promised they'd fix, Ahmed pawned me off onto his associate and never spoke with me again (He did however speak loudly and unprofessionally with other salesman, and on his cellphone the entire 2 hours I waited there to get NOTHING DONE. I'm about to get married and both my family and fiancee's family are loyal to Honda wand will certainly look to buy another in a few years as our family grows but we will NEVER deal with Landmark Honda or any Rosenthal Auto dealership again. I wish I could give this place Zero stars...at least the girl in Finance was helpful.Nasty General Sales Manager Playing for 2009 Honda Odyssey EXL RN!
by lyao on 05/02/2009It's Saturday Morning. This dealer tried to bait and switch with us. Called and spoke with the General Sales Manager 'Chuck Singleton' for OTD pricing twice (spoke with the Internet Salesperson so called 'Ipbal Arain' but never even… showed up and said 'Hi' to us) and confirmed before we visited there and asked about the colors' option ---> The GM claimed that they've 6 stocks available and told us to make a visit. By the time we got there, there's none! Then the GM told the Sales Lady to show us other colors instead. Then, tested drive for about 2 miles and showed us all the details about the interior functions of that Odyssey. Then, told us to write the paperworks and buy the car. By the time we finished the so-called 'paperwork', the GM showed up and told us they can't offer us the original internet and phone price quotes. It's a rainy day and my hub just got back from his business trip last night and will be heading for another business trip on Monday. We're so excited ---> transferring funds from bank to bank and bring our personal checkbook, credit cards, and driver license and so (travelling for 25+ miles with 2 younger kids). We ended up disappointed and frustrated ---> we hired a babysitter just for our 2 young kids, ... My hub even have an argument with the GM eventually! If you told us you won't be able to offer us that price, we won't bother to visit that dealership and wasted our precious time (2+ hours) or so. What the Heck! We'll never want to deal with this dealer again!keep comming back for more..
by lowrider7 on 04/21/2009The service at Landmark honda will just continue making you coming back to again and again because they are reliable, trust worthy mechanics and service advisors that just make sure they satisfy their customers request and get your car in… and out in no time!!!!Deliberately Misleading
by tirunedeth on 04/19/2009ALERT: We negotiated a reasonable and fair price with a very pleasant salesperson. Our negotiated price was supposed to cover everything except Tax and Tags. We were then handed off to an extremely impatient finance person who swiftly tried… to sell us the typical useless extras, of course we politely declined. The finance person then gave us our total price; he affirmed it was our previously agreed number plus taxes and tags. I should have doubled checked his math. If I did I would have found that he added an additional $385 fee; a fee that was already included in our original negotiated price! Deliberate or not, the paperwork was not easy to read; the computer printed numbers do not line up on the pre-printed document and I did not notice the additional fee until I was home. So don't be deceived by the kind salesperson, Landmark has additional deceptive means to steal more money out of you! We love our Honda, but because of their misleading and deceptive actions I cannot recommend Landmark Hondaservice
by maxx12 on 04/01/2009I had to get a computer update for my Civic that was required by the DMV. I went to Landmark Honda and talked to one guy who was probably new and didn't know much, he told me the best place to go is the place where i bought it from. The… place where I bought my car was far away and Landmark Honda was near my work place, so I decided to stop there again about a week later and talk to someone else. The service manager immediately began working on the paper work it took to get the DMV papers processed. He told me that one update had already been done and that I needed another one. I made an appointment to have the second one done. The service deptartment not only did the update, but they reinstalled a plastic piece that had come off the front interior and did a beautiful job of washing and cleaning my car before they returned it to me....ALL COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE!!! I really appreciate the cleaning job because my next stop that day was going to be the car wash.Service
by anglesgrl11 on 02/02/2009I took my car here to get it serviced and they did a great job. the price was good, and they vacuumed and washed it for me at no charge. I was very happy with the customer service and the upkeep of the waiting room. There was starbucks… coffee and a loaner available to customers. I will be going to Landmark honda for my service needs from now on.This is a trustworthy dealership
by Shuidao on 01/19/2009I recently bought a 2009 Civic sedan from Landmark Honda after some careful study on the internet and comparison of a few Honda dealers. I first contacted Landmark's internet salesperson who responded very promptly and responded directly to… my questions without fluffing or unnecessary advertising. I went to the dealership one hour before they were closing for the day, and was received warmly by my internet sales representative Gideong. We went to the key points of my deal right away, and reached agreement on the price of the new car and the value of my trade-in within 20 min. No hassle, no tricks and hard bargains. I told Gideong what I was after and what I expected for my trade-in vehicle, and he gave me very professional and reasonable responses. I drove away the new Civic and left them my old VW Passat after 1.5 hours with all the paper work completed. They even filled the new car's tank for me free of charge. It was a pleasant and effecient experience. My internet sales rep and the dealership manager both followed up with me after the purchase to make sure that I was satisfied. Prior to coming to Landmark Honda, I went to [another dealership]. They were also warm and enthusiastic, but I felt clearly that they were trying to take advantage of me on my trade-in. I waled out of there quickly and came to Landmark.Landmark Honda Dealership preys on elderly women
by todonacho on 12/28/2008Landmark Honda Dealership preys on elderly women. While visiting a relative in Alexandria, I dropped my 1 year old Honda Accord for an oil change. The service department phoned me and gave me a long list of required repairs that were road… "safety concerns" and needed to be taken care of quickly. They were very careful to use carefull wording to not put them in legal jeopardy, the two my mechanic laughed at were "your breaks are beginning to wear down" and your "alignment may need to be adjusted in the future". They also noticed the car seat I use for my grandchild and stated that I wouldn't want to endanger my grandchild. A $30 oil change, quickly became a $350 brake job. It wasn't until I spoke with my regular mechanic that he informed that there was no (NO) reason why my vehicle would need a brake job in the first year. If a brake job was required, then there are more serious mechanical issues that need to be addressed. I regret not checking the WWW for customer complaints against Landmark Honda. There appear to be many serious complaints against them, and am taking every measure to warn women and elderly not to visit or trust this dealerships unreputable practices. Look for my complaint on BBB's website.Bait and Switch on Salespeople (odd, right?)
by flyguybob on 12/01/2008A while back I worked with a guy there and almost had a done deal on a Honda Pilot. He (I still know his name, but don't want to post it) was polite, honest, and a straight shooter. I returned the next day to close the deal and was told he… quit and this other guy (I remember him, too!) took over his accounts, was with a customer, and they would honor the price that I was given only if I bought from that guy "today", financed through their dealership and bought the extended warranty. The finance process sounded to be a nightmare and they would not consider my trade-in unless I signed some form (I think this is called an intent to purchase agreement). Well, they didn't know I had "his" e-mail and cell number amd knew him through a colleague. ...so I called him and e-mailed him and told him I felt like I was in the middle of a Nigerian 419 scam. He was working the next day as was "that guy." ...but that sour experience soured me on their company and I refused to buy from them period, even from the guy that I knew and trusted. Eventually their sales tactics, which aren't needed, would trickle down to their Service department. ...and one day I got a bait and switch. I will post that under the service reviews. Needless to say I am still driving my Honda Accord. ...and I only took t there occasionally when I need something dealer-specific because the other Honda dealers have bad service reviews. I am thinking Fairfax Honda is the way to go from it's reviews but may try Leesburg Honda and give them a shot. ...and instead of the SUV I planned on buying this fall (my Accord works great!) I am buying a used Volvo V70r wagon from a friend I can trust.Warranty Service SNAFU
by flyguybob on 12/01/2008I have had my Honda Accord serviced here several times and have always been happy with the service up until "that day". I knew that eventually their sales tactics, which aren't needed and which are less than hontest, would trickle down to… their Service department. ...and one day they did... They had my car in under warranty work and told me it was covered; it was a recall and I had HondaCare on the car. After they started the work they called me and told me it wasn't covered but I had to pay because the work was started and my car was over the 80,000 mile limit for warranty service. ...and they could have told me that when my car was under 80,000 miles. If I recall they cut 10% of the bill for customer satisfaction ...so I paid the bill and refuse to ever do business with them again unless absolutely necessary. Prior to that they did perform service and did it very well and they were up-front about costs. In all honesty they still perform good service, but the service managers were less than up-front. Needless to say I am still driving my Honda Accord. ...and I only took it one other time when I needed something dealer-specific, which was a covered recall. The Northern VA Honda dealers have some pretty nasty reviews and I am not sure where to take my car; either Fairfax or Leesburg. Any suggestions. My dealer in GA was excellent and had their 5-star rating posted everywhere as well as copies of their last reviews (with the owner name removed, of course). The dealers in Northern VA didn't post their rating and I went to 2 (Tysons and Fairfax) to see what their ratings were. Nada, zip, zilch was publicly posted. ...and instead of the Pilot SUV I planned on buying this fall (my Accord works great!) I am buying a used Volvo V70r wagon from a friend I can trust. It looks like my cars will slowly be cut over from the Honda to the Volvo.Landmark honda exceptional c.s.
by schooltech on 11/23/2008Very good experience. I contacted dealership using their website ( very user friendly). Requested pricing on new CR-V. They got back to us very quickly with a good price. We visited and test drove the SUV with very little pressure. We… also got a very reasonable price for our trade and we were able to put everything together in a few hours on a Saturday and drive away with our new SUV. Very pleased with the experience at rosenthal honda in landmark.Check engine light on Honda Civic Hybrid
by jessprtr on 10/27/2008My 2007 Civic Hybrid dashboard showed a check engine warning light and I took my car to Landmark Honda service department. I was told that the computer had reported a leak in the cars emission system. After doing the diagnosis, they… informed me that no leak was detected. My service advisor told me that my fuel cap was probably not closed correctly and they were able to take care of it. They also did not charge me anything for the service.Factory vs Non
by htyper on 10/26/2008I had my brakes repaired at an independent repair shop and the front brakes kept squeaking after it was fixed. I went back 2 additional times and they were still making the noise. I finally decided to go to Landmark Honda to have them… looked at it. They told me that the brake pads were aftermarket and from time to time, they will do that. I asked for an estimate for replacement with the right parts and found out that what I paid was very close to the estimate given at Landmark Honda. I called the shop I had it done at and they said that they don't use factory parts. For now I guess I have to deal with the noise by turning up my stereo since I just had them done.Good Experience
by opuntoo on 09/26/2008I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Accord from Landmark Honda. I worked the deal through e-mail. The salesperson responded with e-mails were very specific and thorough. They were also very quick in responding. This does do not seem like the… case with other Honda dealerships in the area. My first visit to Landmark Honda was a pleasant one. I spent a good amount of time during the test drive to get a good feel of the car. After careful consideration, I decided to go back to Landmark Honda to buy the my new Honda Accord.Excellent Value!
by oswaldp on 08/23/2008Shopped weeks at several honda dealers...only one came in with the lowest price without getting sour. Couple of the honda dealers were not so nice but Landmark Honda stayed in the game. And the end result is...$400 SAVED on a new civic… coupe si from the lowest price quoted by other dealers. Definetly reccomend anyone to shop this honda dealer before buying.Buyer beware!!!
by handymanalex on 08/06/2008I went to Landmark Honda for a new Civic because their advertising flyers promised a "fair price" and "the highest trade values in the D.C. area". They saw me coming a mile away and took me to the cleaners! I discovered that their idea of a… "fair price" is $MSRP + $635 destination fee + $385 processing fee + $600 dealer appearance package (wheel locks, mud flaps and pinstripes) + taxes, tag, etc. Their idea of "highest trade value" was to offer $1200 on a Civic trade-in with a Kelly Blue Book trade-in value of $3000, which they then listed for sale the next week for $6500. I got caught up in the process and ended up paying about $3000 more than I should have. During the process, their salesman taunted me by pointing out that I was listed in his email address book as a "Hot Prospect". When it was his turn, the sales manager insulted me by asking more than the high price the salesman had quoted. Finally, the finance guy treated me with an air of contempt at being so stupid as to agree to the deal.EXTRA Ordinary
by hondabuyer5 on 07/29/2008We purchased a honda accord for our son's graduation and I couldn't have made a better choice to the car and the dealership. Landmark Honda and the staff went above and beyond their job to provide us with that extraordinary experience.… They even put a huge ribbon and a large bow on the car to make it extra special for us. Needless to say, we would recommend Landmark Honda to other potential honda buyers.Rude Salesperson
by mboukhriss on 07/28/2008I leased the car and they told me that they will pay the last two months, and they lied about it. The sale's person are greedy, rude and rootless. They smile to you before you sign. After that they change their behavior. They are rude,… impolite and they should be [violative content deleted] and not Car Salesperson. THE WORST DEALERSHIP If you want to buy Honda take your business somewhere else where they will appreciate you
