    My experience with this dealership was great start to finish. After expressing interest in a car that caught my eye online on a Wednesday, Tricia responded and answered questions. We have never purchased a car out of state before, but we made the long drive that Saturday, and it was well worth it as we came home with the car. Laura was very helpful and pleasant, and not the least bit pushy. The finance guy Niz was also very pleasant and easy to work with to finish the paperwork. Even after the sale, I have been contacted several times to make sure I was happy with the car. I highly recommend them.

    My wife and I live in PA but the 2019 Forester we liked was in VT. We worked with Zakk who answered all of our questions in a timely manner and we took a trip to VT to finalize the deal. The process couldn't have been easier. A very fair price and 2 happy PA customers!

    Bought a legacy in Oct ... just whag i was looking for and good price on former lease. Leased a new Impreza 2 weeks later and overall good experience. Id encourage buyer to take their time. Seemed a little hurried. Impreza has eco type tires ... not good in snow.

    I just bought my 5th Subaru through Brattleboro Subaru and I have to say the whole experience was really painless. From contacting the salesman Zach Griffin who I was referred to, to going through all the finances and paperwork with Pete. The dealership followed up with me a few times after the sales to make sure I was happy with the car and to see if there was anything they could do for me. Love love love this dealership

    Its been 14 years since I last purchased a new primary use vehicle. I've enjoyed driving a 2005 Subaru Baja and have had such great reliability with it that for the first time I am buying another vehicle from the same manufacturer. If you are in the market for a Subaru and find yourself as I was, unsure and doubtful about what course to take in searching for your next vehicle, I can save you loads of time in narrowing down your choice. I took to the internet and found there are plenty of "too good to be true" lures out there. It seemed as though I was never going to locate a dealer posting any offer that didn't have excuse upon excuse as to why the price they offered couldn't be honored... that was until I responded to an offer presented by Brattleboro Subaru. I was ecstatic, "Wow" I said to myself, a dealer who actually put out an offer and isn't making excuses why it won't apply to my purchasing situation. By the way, I live in Rochester, NY some 300+ miles, a 5 1/2 hour drive from Brattleboro Subaru across state lines in Vermont. I thought I would see if any Subaru dealer in the Rochester area would negotiate a deal with me when I presented them the offer I received from Brattleboro Subaru. In short I was told to "Enjoy my trip to Vermont". That is just what I did. The Team at Brattleboru Subaru was fabulous. They were literally waiting for me at the door when I arrived to welcome me. Professional and yet quite personable is how I would sum up my experience at Brattleboro Subaru. Thank You Marie, Michael, Ian and Pete for making this transaction about as stress free and reassuring as one could imagine. Let me end this review by saying to all prospective buyers not to fear crossing state lines to make a vehicle purchase from Brattleboru Subaru. You won't regret it.

    "Easy, no pressure, " - Outback Fan I looked on the internet to find this car. Brattleboro Subaru had the best used cars with the lowest prices'. I spoke with Marie in internet sales several times. She was knowledgeable, helpful and answered my questions in a timely manor. Zach was our sales consultant. Zach was very friendly and was able to answer all my questions about the car, and also helped throughout the entire process of purchasing the car, a very nice person to deal with. The car was finely detailed. The dealership has a fantastic policy. They will do the run around of registering the car and delivered it right to our home with a full tank of gas. Please note that they made two trips from Brattleboro, Vt. to Leominster, MA in order to register and deliver the car to us. Just a great place to do business with. When its time to buy another car this is the first place I'll look!

    The dealership listed a 1980 MGB for sale. I submitted a bid via website and traded several e-mails with Marie Flack. Since this was an older car, I requested pictures of the engine and undercarriage (for rust). I am two hours away and hoped to get a deal done then go complete the purchase saving four hours round trip. Marie Flack refused to provide additional pics. Here's her e-mail: "I understand wanting more photos, however due to the high volume of online inquires, that's something delegated to our photographer only. The car is absolutely mint, and it is just as clean underneath as it is in visible areas. This is something you really need to see in person to appreciate!" I would have been satisfied with a few pics from a cell phone. Didn't think that was a big issue but apparently Marie did. Here is the transcript from the e-mails we traded: She started out nice but it went downhill from there: "Good morning and thank you for inquiring online for our MG! I saw your offer of $6,750.... We can't go that low, but we'll do better than $9,999. This car was originally priced at $11,990, and is being sold on consignment, so it's at the owners discretion what we can let it go for. Would you like to set up a time to come see it in person?" Me: "Even quick cell phone pics would be helpful. We're two hours away so the pics would save a trip. If everything looked good, I would try to work out a deal and then pick the MGB up." Her: " I'll be honest, my hesitation comes from your offer of $6,750 for this car as well as your lack of interest in coming to see it. We're far away distance-wise and deal-wise. If you're comfortable paying $9,999 for the car (plus our $396 documentation fee) and you're going to set an appointment with me for this weekend then I'd feel like we might be getting somewhere here. Hopefully you can understand that. We're here 8am-5pm tomorrow and 11am-3pm Sunday. Do either of those weekend days work for you?" My response: "They do not. I did tell you I was able to go up. A few pics didn't seem like a big deal to maybe get a deal moving forward. One trip up is more efficient. As an aside, I bought my '08 Toyota Sequoia via internet and phone negotiations for $35K(ish) with no issues and traveled to New Rochelle NY to pick it up. The $396 doc fee is not mentioned on the eBay listing so why would I even entertain buying for full price and doc fee? I will pass on this one." I placed two calls to their sales manager today but have yet to get a call back. Looked like a great car but due to their poor customer service, I would never buy from them nor recommend. Brattleboro missed out on a (seemingly) easy cash sale. Guess taking care of customers is not high on their list of priorities. I didn't think my requests were unreasonable but she did.
    • Our General Manager reached out to the customer to further look into this issue. We apologize that our BDC consultant didn't make it more clear that we COULD provide more photos after the weekend when our in-house photographer was on site (which would have been only a two day wait), as that was her intention. It is our policy that we do not require our sales people to text photos to customers for a matter of personal safety. While some of our salespeople may do that for customers, she as a single mother, and others for their own personal reasons do not feel comfortable putting their number out to strangers. Our General Manager offered to text them to him despite our policy, and he refused. This is all including the fact that besides the multiple photos we have on our site already attesting to it's condition, we advertise the vehicle as “immaculate.” We advertise our vehicles honestly, as much of our business is from repeat customers who buy their second and third vehicles from us. We could not attain this vital part of our customer base if we were to act in any other matter. Customer service is our top priority, and after reviewing the full interaction, Marie was nothing but professional, polite, and quick to respond to the customer's messages. While we understand why that ONE part of interaction was unsatisfactory, we had still attempted to make it right and tried to provide what he needed.

    My nephew had come over from NY state to purchased an Impreza from Brattleboro Subaru last year so I stopped by on a whim on a Friday afternoon. There was a Certified Pre-Owned 2013 Impreza w/super low mileage I couldn't pass up, as I know how rare low mileage Subarus are. My sales associate, Laura Chapdelaine, was very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and interested in my story re previous car etc. She spent the necessary time to carry out the purchasing and paperwork processes without making me feel hurried or pressured. Laura also went with me on 2 test drives including a possible alternative Subaru Outback in my price range. She worked with w/the finance dep't then introduced me to them so I could complete the Finance process. She brought me out to the Service Dep't to introduce me to the staff. Also, Laura arranged for pick-up of my car a few days later and was friendly to my friends who brought me to pick it up. She even offered to come to my home 22 miles away to pick up the car! Laura has remained in touch with me over the past week since I received my car.

  • Great experience from beginning to end

    Leased a 2016 Legacy Premium. I contacted all Subaru dealerships within 100 miles of my hometown. From my very first conversation with Amy Ciccone, Brattleboro Subaru was one of the best dealerships to work with, including searching the entire New England inventory database for me even though I suspected she never believed I would drive the 100 miles to buy a car from them. I negotiated everything via phone and email with Mike Masters and Jason Reynolds in advance of even arriving at the dealership. I have dealt with over 40 dealerships in the last 4 years for my cars, my wife’s cars, and cars for friends and family. As such, I have become pretty skeptical of good deals having seen some shady activities and efforts. Needless to stay, I was ecstatic when the “too-good-to-be-true” offer from Brattleboro was, in fact, 100% true. They were able to offer me a deal that had other dealers literally laughing when I price-shopped it around with each other dealer telling me to give them a call back when this deal turns out not to be true. Jason Posternak was the sales/finance manager. It was the same laid-back, painless, friendly experience with him as with Amy, Mike, and Jason Reynolds, having a nice conversation about hobbies, family, and life in Boston. I love my Legacy and in addition to recommending a 2016 Legacy, I HIGHLY recommend Brattleboro Subaru.

    I searched for this car through Consumer Reports. I built my car on-line. I received a call from Brattleboro Subaru within 7 minutes of submitting my request. The woman who contacted (I forgot her name) was so knowledgeable about Subarus that I did not even consider going anywhere else. She directed me to the options that would fit my needs best and also did not push something I didn't want. As well, the Consumer Reports "discount" helped, too. The one thing that got me to purchase from you and not from Subaru of Keene was that quick phone call from a well-trained individual. Nice job! She should get a raise because she earned it!

    I knew what I wanted and what price I wanted. My local dealer told me my research was wrong, spent hours trying to get me accessories, and played games with the manager. I called Brattleboro Subaru shortly before closing. I spoke with Ian about about what I was looking for. He called me back in 10 minutes to say he could do it and confirmed price, fees, and taxes in an email. I went the next day to pick up a new Impreza. Ian made the closing quick and easy. No "car salesman" BS. All very easy. I will go back there when I need a new vehicle.

    Went to dealers in my area (in upstate NY). I needed a car from existing inventory (my old car had died), and the dealers in my area did not have exactly what I wanted, plus the prices for what they had was not so good. I looked online on TrueCar and found a really good deal for the exact new car I wanted at Brattleboro Subaru. Did the deal on the phone and on my computer, and they delivered it to my door a few days later free of charge on a snowy winter day (two hour trip each way). Very friendly and professional staff, and they made it easy.

    We got our price certificate, called put down a deposit and noted we would be trading in a Saturn Outlook. They said they could not give us a price on trade in without seeing the car. So we took the car to a couple dealers near home to get offers - the offers were 6K for an out right buy up to 8K for a trade in. We drove to the dealer. Their trade in offer $3200! We were shocked, disclosed our other offers and they immediately offered $5200. $2000 more in a matter of minutes. Basically they tried to rip us off and would have been able to if we had not done our homework on the Saturn's value. So yes they will honor the certificate but will take you to the cleaners any other chance they get. Honesty is not their strong suit. Manager's reply when I flagged what happened was to tell me they offered us $4500 - seriously his response is to lie or pretend we are lying? And $4500 is still way off the mark.
    • First of all I want to thank you for your business. Yes, we were unable to come to an agreement with your Saturn on trade. The past couple Outlooks we took in sat here for almost 100 days so unfortunately we haven’t had much luck with them. We offered $4,500 initially, and since a trade in was preferred we stretched to $5,200 to try and make ends meet. You mentioned you had a $6,000 offer elsewhere for an outright sale so we had no problem with you leaving your trade out of the equation enabling you to get the most money you could for it. We offered a fantastic price on a very hard to get car and that deal stayed the same great deal it was when we offered it to you before you came in. I respect that you were upset you were unable to trade it in and be done with it right then and there, and I also apologize if you felt as though we were trying to rip you off, but that is most certainly not the case. We gave you a very good deal on your new Subaru and had no problem with you selling your vehicle on your own for more money.

  • From one extreme to another

    As a first time car buyer I was quite nervous on what to expect from dealerships. I knew I wanted to look at the Imprezas and quite possibly the wrx as well. My first stop was Subaru of Keene, I walked around with my father for a good 45 mins looking around almost the whole lot. I've always heard how cars salesman can come out and be pushy with you, the couple salesman I did see came out, moved some vehicles but failed to acknowledge us. At this point I just wanted someone to come out and say hello, it was Saturday, it was like they didn't expect people to be there. After a few more minutes of walking around I decided I wanted to go to Brattleboro Subaru. As we pull into the lot I lay my eyes on a 2015 wrx, I park my car and my dad and I walk over to take a look. I had some questions but was still very unsure on when I wanted to get a car. I was approached by Rose Kochman and she asked if there was anything she could do for me. I told her I was a first time buyer, still very unsure on my choice and just recently started thinking about getting a new car. She invited us inside to talk things over. We talked about the wrx I was just looking at and next thing I new I was on a test drive! I was instantly in love and ended up leaving with the car a couple hours later. Through the whole process Rose was absolutely amazing!!! She made everything so easy to understand and was not pushy by any means, it was painless. She went above and beyond to get me the best rate possible and made sure I was happy with everything along the way. I am still in love with my car and look forward to the years to come!! Thank you all at Brattleboro Subaru for everything you guys do!! You've gained my business and I tell everyone about my experience with your great customer service!! I also tell them of my experience in Keene...Things certainly worked out in my favor!!!
