Please, don't buy from Image Auto Sales...
by jess123456 on 10/15/2017We bought our van through this company, 3 months ago. We are now in the process of finding out many things that Image Auto Sales has dishonestly done to our little family. Including but not limited to: -sold us a bumper to bumper warranty… that turned out to be more basic than a powertrain warranty - We were told over and over that all repairs were completed per manufacturer specifications. According to two body shops, it is unsafe to drive and will cost about $11,000 to repair the hidden damage. -charging fees that are not applicable There are MANY more things we are dealing with but are in the process of figuring out what needs to happen next. Shawn (the owner) is unwilling to fairly work with us. Sadly, he is only concerned about himself, so his "solutions" he is offering us reflect that. I hate to have to be involved in such dishonesty, but I can't stand by and let these things happen to another family. I will continue to update this review. **Please, do not do business with Image Auto Sales. It is not worth the risk and sadness it will cause you. I wish we would have checked out this site before even thinking about buying through this company.**DO NOT BUY
by mlkelley on 12/18/2015DO NOT BUY FROM IMAGE AUTO SALES!!!!! We would rather walk than buy another car from Image Auto Sales, Kamran, Ron, and Shawn Fard. This purchase has been horrible. Image Auto Sales does not stand behind their product, process, or… advertising. We bought a 2011 Subaru WRX 5 speed manual transmission with 50,000 miles and added an Elite Warranty extended warranty. Based upon the reviews and 150 point inspection we thought it was a good buy. After having the car for 14 hours and driving it 56 miles the transmission ceased up. The tires screeched and left long skid marks all the way onto the tow trailer. When the transmission was removed it was found to have little or no oil in the case. The repairing dealership is willing to testify that there were no leaks or damage to the transmission case. Needless to say Image will not make this right. To add insult to injury in an email Image says it is the fault of the transport company, road debris, and rough roads. What a load of fertilizer. The most they will do is try and help us find a used transmission to put in the car. I could go on about unreturned calls and emails or how after nearly a week the car is still not repaired. Or even with their supposed high standards and 150 point inspection again Image will not stand behind their product, process or advertising. The Utah State Consumer Protection Department said the 150 point inspection means nothing. Elite Warranty considers this a preexisting condition and will only pay at most $1000 of the $5000 repair bill. The answer to why the oil level was so low is simple. The motor oil drain plug and transmission drain plug are close together. Someone changing the motor oil pulled the wrong plug and forgot to top it off. The local dealership says they see this on a regular basis. Mistakes happen. But it is Images responsibility not our mistake. We bought the car in good faith thinking at least all the fluid levels would be correct. As for Elite Warranty on a used car you need a warranty within the first days or weeks. Regardless of preexisting conditions. So we spent $2500.00 for virtually nothing. We should have been smarter and look at the Better Business Bureaus complaints where Elite has several complaints. When you read the words on Image Auto Sales home page like manufacturers specifications , 150 point inspection, Certified, lightly damaged, cosmetic repairs, Integrity, loyality, quality they are just catch phrases that mean nothing.
About our dealership
Update 11/8/17: After a lot of back and forth and starting the process of getting a lawyer, the owner took back our White Nissan NV 3500 for a full refund. He was kind while we emailed back and forth, getting logistics sorted out.
