    I went to seven dealerships and Southtowne Mazda was hands down the best one of the lot. I was drawn there because they had posted a 2011 Honda Fit for $8,860, which was a super reasonable price. In addition to the great price, the customer service was excellent. Dave was my salesman and he was a delight--easy going, informative, and helpful. I could tell from the service alone that they were paid on salary rather than commission (Ken Garff just about ripped my arm off when I said I'd like to shop around more first). Not to mention, the financier went above and beyond; I had a pre-approved loan with chase at 2.36% APR that fell through because they said I'd have to register the car in another state (which makes no sense). The financier, of his own initiative, arranged a new loan with Wells Fargo for the same rate and terms. Overall, I got a great deal that was right in my budget and had a painless experience because of the awesome customer service. Thank you Dave and the Mazda team!

    Our experience with Southtowne Mazda was spectacular due to our sale man, Dave Medrano. We had a specific vehicle in mind, and are picky about the condition of the rig. Dave's relaxed demeanor and fun attitude made the process enjoyable and painless. I appreciate Dave's patience as we thought through this most important decision, even leaving to test drive another vehicle. There was no pressure, just calm confidence. We recommend Dave and the Southtowne dealership to everyone we talk to. The integrity of all the staff is outstanding.

    The sales team at Southtowne Mazda is the absolute best! They are paid on salary and so do not waste any time playing games. I was pleased with how straightforward and helpful they were. I ended up purchasing my first car from them and could not be happier. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a car (used or new).

    Just finished our purchase at Southtowne Mazda could not have been easier. All there salespeople are on salary so we truly felt they had our best interest in mind. It seems that all the new car dealers pay the same for there cars so we would definitely say the experience itself is worth making the trip to Sandy. No pressure worked out the details directly with the manager who could make a decision right on the spot. Zero back and forth and in and out in under an hour

    I have bought many cars over the years. This was one of the easiest times ever. We were very well treated at Southtowne Mazda. Everything was upfront and inline with what we researched for our trade-in. We were treated as valued customers, not as trophies or victims. My wife and I truly left amazed, smiling, and told them to use us as references if needed. They really have a great, professional attitude. Owner Rob personally sealed the deal. Salesman Evan and finance gut, Jason also are top notch. Need a new Mazda? We drove 250 miles from Moab to get here and left with exactly the Mazda 3 touring S we wanted and feel very pleased.

    My headline is meant for one individual in there. We were in over the weekend & looking for a new vehicle. We, meaning my boyfriend, our 2 year old daughter & myself. Everything went well, we were in the process of transferring insurance over to the vehicle that was being purchased. The finance manager grew tired of waiting apparently. He asked the salesman, in front of us, if we were married. Dmitriy Kudrin said no, we were not. The finance manager than said, if they're not married, tell them to go home. Unbelievable & the most disrespectful service I've ever been given. Even when confronted on how disrespectful he was, he went back into his office & slammed the door on me! I'm sure they don't care since we ended up leaving the dealership & no money was invested but they should be ashamed of themselves.

    I went here to check out the Mazda 3 I Grand Touring (GT) in Blue. I was told by an Orem dealership that there were no more I GT in Utah in blue and they had the only blue S GT left. I searched online and found an I GT at Southtowne. I called them and talked to Sasha. I told her what I was looking for and made an appointment to go see her before my appointment in Orem. I test drove the I GT and then I test drove the S GT. We then went and talked about leasing vs.buying. They were upfront about costs. They were awesome to go over all my concerns with both. In the end, I never made my appointment with the dealership in Orem. The numbers Orem quoted me didn't seem correct being so low. Orem didn't add in the licensing and taxes with their numbers and were forceful with wanting me to lease and not buy. I bought, not leased, the S Grand Touring in blue not the I GT. I got the windows tinted and a clear bra placed before picking it up. There was a small hiccup with the clear bra but they were quick to fix it. Over all, they were easy to work with, answered my million questions and fixed the hiccup. The sales manager and the finance guy (sorry, I don't remember their names) were very nice and helpful and I must say, Sasha was AWESOME to work with. I am very excited with my new car.

    Recently I purchased a new 2016 Mazda 6 from Southtowne Mazda. The dealership and all of their representatives were world class and provided me excellent customer service. While I recognize that purchasing a vehicle takes a bit of time, Southtowne Mazda did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and at home. The sales associates who assisted me, Jeff and TC, were professional, courteous and answered any and all questions I had. The management team, Aysar and Tyler, were equally professional and helpful. The manner with which they sold me the vehicle was neither pretentious or aggressive. They simply provided me my options and left me to make my own decision. It was a refreshing experience to say the least. Many dealerships often pressure potential customers into making decisions before they may be comfortable. That did not happen at Southtowne Mazda. Finally, when finishing up the paperwork and finances on the sale I was fortunate to work with Jason Goates. Jason is as friendly a person as there is. He was easy to talk to and honest about what he felt the vehicle needed in terms of additional warranties and protection. The options he felt were inappropriate or unnecessary he quickly took off the table. I'm not certain all finance mangers would do that. I felt he had my best interest at heart and tried to minimize the extra costs I incurred on the vehicle. Overall, I would never hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Southtowne Mazda and have already communicated to friends and family to visit there themselves. Thanks for all your help!

    I recently purchased a car from South Towne Mazda. I had an excellent experience from the front desk receptionist to the Sales Manager. First, the front desk receptionist was very friendly. It was nice to walk into a smiling face. Second, the saleswoman that I worked with was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the cars. She wasn't pushy at all and genuinely cared about my thoughts and feelings. It was an easy decision to buy a car from her and this dealership. After deciding on buying the car I worked with the Sales manager on a price. He was very personable and did everything he could to get my payments to where I wanted them. Another amazing part of my experience was the fact that from beginning to end it was less than an hour and I was driving my gorgeous CX-5 off the lot. I love my car and I really enjoyed working with the staff at South Towne Mazda. I enjoyed it so much that I went back and bought a Mazda 3 for my daughter! Can't go wrong with a Mazda!!! Check out South Towne Mazda! You won't be disappointed!
  • One Nice Sale Person, the rest were Awful

    I purchased a vehicle for my teen daughter. The sales process itself was OK and the sales person was very friendly and nice. After that, it took a turn for the worse. The dealership manager gave me every story he could about doc fees being mandatory (they are not in Utah.) Then the finance guy would not complete the sale because we would not provide references (they are not required nor does our banking institution require them (and didn't ask when we got our loan directly from the bank.)) The manager was rude with no personality. After 4 weeks of waiting for our plates, we send two emails to no response. So, we visit in person and the receptionist and sale person (short haired female) were no help. When asked who handled it they said they didn't know. Asked for a manager and she, the sales person, pipes off with sarcasm. Tyler comes over and also offers no help. All the time, Sasha, the sales person is standing behind him mouthing off (She could have and should have left.) When I ask her for her name, she says, "Why are you going to call the police?" Where did that come from?? Tyler gives me her name finally. As we are walking out, this "professional" comments to my teen daughter about what type of father I am in her view. How dare she. She is all of 22 years old and has no customer service skills what-so-ever. The correct answers would have been to invite us to an office, sit down, listen to our concerns, and provide information as best they could. That is what customer service is. There is no way I would ever buy a vehicle from this dealership again. While TC the sales person we dealt with was great, the rest of the team needs to be replaced or retrained. You are in sales. The customer is always right. If you disagree, then you agree with them and provide as much help as you can so they see they are wrong. Not sure who owns this dealership but they are doing themselves a disservice leaving it in the hands of Tyler.

    These guys are amazing!! Best car buying experience I've ever had!! I was in and out in just under an hour. That never happens even if you pay cash but here these guys know what they are doing and get it done fast!! I highly recommend this dealership.

    Came in with the intention to look at some Mazdas, not necessarily wanting to buy anything at the moment. The staff was absolutely fabulous and very helpful, showed us a number of vehicles and we've actually made a decision to buy a 2015 CX5 there and then. Can't say anything bad about the car, it's been great so far. Southtowne has definitely found a new lifelong customer.

    We were promised they had the listed car when we called in. They took our number. When we arrived at dealership after 45 minute drive, the car had "just been sold ... but we have these other nice cars in the same price range". what a waste of time.

About our dealership
