  • Ordered Corvette-Waited 1 Year-Fraud

    I ordered two new C8 Corvettes from this dealer early this year. Having just arrived, the dealer is refusing to allow me to finalize the purchase with a bank wire, and take the MSO, as an out-of-state customer. This is against federal and interstate commerce and I intend to sue them to enforce the contract and get a restraining order preventing them from the sale of the car in the interim. They now are refusing to sell me the car and have listed it with a price of $15k over MSRP. I filed a lawsuit today against them in Grayson County, complaint with DMV and General Motors.

    Buyer Beware - MUST READ - Purchased a newer used vehicle from Sherman Chevrolet and the car started skipping the very same day on our way home. Newer vehicle with 40,000 miles and when I returned the SUV they told me the car needed a new transmission. UGH!! I purchased the vehicle because I thought dealerships did a thorough inspection of used vehicles before they are put on the lot. We paid nearly $35,000 for a vehicle that we learned two days later needed a new transmission??? I was livid - but I guess that explains the hard sale in the finance room for the extended warranty that we planned to purchase through our bank. Might I add we took the vehicle back within days and it took nearly a month to fix. While the car was in the shop I ask the service manager to fix the winshield that had a small chip and buff out a scratch on the side of the car. When I returned to pick up the car nearly a month later and after calling serveral times to ask what was taking so long for the transmission. They returned my car to me dirty, with no gas, the windshield had not been fixed nor the scratch buffed out on the side of the car. I clearly expressed to the manager that I was unhappy. I ask the manager for a number for Corporate - the manager said he was uncomfortable giving me the number and told me they would have someone contact me - REALLY!!! Just an overrall horrible car buying experience. They did go ahead and wash the car but told me I had to fix the chipped windshield and scratch on my own which I would have had them do - had they communicated that to me during the nearly month long they had my new car. BUYER Please BEWARE and get EVERYTHING IN WRITING when dealing with Sherman Chevrolet.

  • Save Yourself the Hassle

    It's apparent why this dealership has less than good reviews. Let me start by saying that any dealership who does not provide a formal purchase order to discuss details on your purchase plus your trade in is a red flag to hold off until you get more details!! We had help negotiating this deal from the start, once the deal was in motion my husband and I took over and spoke back and forth with our sales rep Rocky. Rocky sent us correspondence for the vehicle and let me know he needed my bank draft and other supporting docs to get permission to hold the vehicle until Saturday when my Husband and I could drive in from out of state where we work. On the Monday before the transaction, we confirmed with Rocky we were all in, I let him know to get me in contact with his finance department so we could expedite the process (which includes discussing purchase orders, trade in etc). I never heard from the dealership but continued to make contact with Rocky in good faith. Let's fast forward. The dealership had the wrong miles recorded on the trade in price (this was on our end) so therefore they wanted to low ball my trade in and have me come out of pocket. When I asked to speak with the manager.. a "man" named Wayne comes out to tell me its my fault that I didn't look at the purchase order (which they never provided) I received a screen shot of some marker notes to give my bank the final price which was $67k. He continued to let me know I was wrong and that I was expecting them to pay for the fault. Unwilling to work with me and in an accusatory tone I let him know the deal was off and walked away. Wayne's attempt at making me feel inferior or wrong did not settle well with myself or my husband. My husband let him know that is not the tone he should speak to a lady in. (Why would you want to work with a dealership where management does not know how to show respect to their customers) The point of the matter is Sherman Chevrolet conducts bad business. At the end of the day they lost out on a sale because of their intellectual inability to understand basic customer service ethics ( such as the customer is always right) and in this case the customer was holding a $67k dollar check. Do yourself a favor. Don't waste your time or energy with Sherman Chevrolet, Wayne or Rocky.

    My salesman, Max was very accommodating although I would not recommend this dealership. I called on two occasions to express a concern. I was told each time that they would call me back. They never called me back or made any attempt to resolve the issue. Nothing. Customer service is lacking . Buyer beware. 😞
