  • Just another scummy / scammy dealership unfortunately.

    Texan Hyundai had a 2024 used vehicle on their website that was a fair price and happened to be the color combination we had been looking for my wife. I called in the morning and unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the person I spoke to. I started by asking him to confirm the vehicle was still in stock and yes it was available. I told him I was ready to buy if it passed a test drive and inspection, so please give me the out the door price so I could come prepared with a cashier’s check. He refused and said they can’t discuss any price at all on the phone, they only deal in person and only with an appointment. I’ve never heard of a dealership refusing to sell a car that someone was literally saying they were ready to write a check for, just tell me how much. That was my first big red flag. I decided that maybe I just got unlucky and got a bad salesman so I filled in the online form on their website to get their, “best price” which involves giving them your name and phone number. Almost immediately I got a call from Mauricio Hernandez. I again confirmed that yes they did have it in stock and asked for him to give me his best out the door price so I could bring a cashier’s check. He also suggested I come in to talk about it. I told him I don’t need to, I just need to know how much to bring to buy the vehicle. He said he’d get a number and call me back…. Spoiler alert: he didn’t call back. I called the dealership and asked for him about 4 hours later. I was told he was busy but he would call me back if I left my name and number. Can you guess what happened? You got it, no call back. At this point I was 95% certain this was an old school bait and switch dealer scam (“oh you wanted that one that’s at a good price? Sorry we JUST sold it but let me show you something similar!”). My wife and I decided on the off chance we just got unlucky with salesmen to drive the hour drive each way to the dealership and see if we could find someone actually willing to sell us a car. We got there and showed the web page of the car in question to our new salesman, Chazz. Chazz went away for a few minutes and here’s pop quiz number two, what do you think he said when came back? You got it, “We sold this vehicle 6 days ago”….. I will say that Chazz was a high point in this experience. Unlike the gruff folks I’d dealt with previously, he was friendly and quite frankly very calm in the face of how upset I was with what the other salesmen had done. I would happily buy a car from Chazz in the future, but not at Texan Hyundai. So the two people I’d spoken to previously who both confirmed they had the vehicle in stock and that I could come get it were both lying to get me on property. This is why people don’t trust dealerships. Just another greasy trick.

    I live about 25 miles away from the dealership, but the drive was worth it. They did not have the car I originally wanted but were able to get it from another dealership and have it the next day. I was very pleased with the deal I got for the vehicle and how our salesman handled everything. My only complaint is the dealership decal they put on the vehicle....it is rather large and I'm not a fan of decal on any vehicle. I feel it takes away from the looks of the car. Next time I go by the dealership, I will politely ask them to remove it.

    Erdwin is AWESOME! He knows he stuff very well. He provided all the information I needed and assisted me in picking out my perfect car. I and 1,000% satisfied!

    I received a letter in the mail from Capital One with this dealership listed. My husband said, " Let's ride out there and take a look". Little did I know that I would be picking up my car the following day. This was a very pleasant experience for me and the staff was Simply Awesome. I have been telling my friends about Texan Hyundai and about Nick / Frank. Keep Up the Great Work Fellas!!!!!

    Easy to make a service appt, friendly staff who explains price & work to be done. Sales staff is friendly & knowledgeable too!! I love how my car gets washed after the service is done. I appreciate it!

    Chazz and Don took VERY good care of me. They satisfied me beyond my expectations. I would refer all my friends to Texan Hyundai for the wonderful customer service. Tell them to ask for Chazz Watts and company. I have bought two cars here.

    I had a great experience in buying my first new vehicle with Hyundai with the help of Super Julio and his team. They were extremely helpful and patient and answered all my questions thouroughly and addressed every concern I had. The process was very smooth and fast.

    I am very satisfied with my overall buying experience at Texan Hyundai. In particular Erdwin Dominguez provided a five start Sales service. He was diligent, responsible, kind and always strived to help us find a balance between my needs and the options available at the dealership. In short, I came the first time with low expectations after visiting and interacting with sales people at other Hyundai dealers in town, but the interaction and professionalism demonstrated by Erdwin was the key driver that helped us made the final decision. I am very satisfied and my daughters are extremely happy with their Christmas gift. I will for sure recommend Erdwin and the Dealership to friends within my network. Thanks to you all.. Jose Rojas

    I went in knowing what I wanted. Johnny didnt try to push for anything I didnt want and was very respectful. They honored all sale prices and discounts with no problems. Mike, the finance guy was honest about what I did and did not need and showed me several options. The whole process was quick and enjoyable. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.

    It was relaxing and they attended us with what we needed. They were very helpful with the purchases that we made. I have been a costumer of this dealership for many years and they have always treated us with the best service and advice that we needed.
