Lone Star Rules!
by jace34 on 09/24/2014Great place to buy a used or new car! I bought a 2014 Chevy Spark loaded and I love it! Courteous, Patient, knowledgeable, helpful and professional is how I would describe the Lone Star salesman and finance department!Horrible Body Shop Service
by carperson6 on 09/20/2014Took my car, which i purchased from lone star, in to be repaired from a no-fault accident. When I went to pick it up, the repairs were not complete and the body was severely scratched across the passengers side. Lonestar fought every step… of the way to fix it--even the parts that were not fixed from the accident that were in the original scope. Before I had finalized the drop off of my car a technician at Lonestar walked around the car with me and marked the points of preexisting damage, the scratches were not part of it. After two attempts the damage was not all fixed. Additionally, the customer service for this experience was horrible. Auditors will not willingly (even after politely asked) walk out to your car to review the work done on it with you. The final time I came in to pick up my car I was just handed the keys, no thank you for your business, have a nice day etc. Lonestar is seriously failing in their body shop and service departments. Because of this experience I will not buy another car from Lonestar. Previous dealings with them had all been pleasant and easy but this experience was so horrible it made the decision.Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We assure you customer satisfaction is our highest priority and we are truly sorry for your poor experience at our store. We would like to talk to you directly regarding your experience so we can make this right. Please contact our Body Shop Manager Dave Barton at 281-517-7018 or by e-mail at david.barton@lonestarchevrolet.com. We hope to hear from you soon.

by jgarcia1234 on 08/25/2014I am a 25 year old college graduate, while working in corporate America for the past 2+ years, I decided it was time to buy my first new vehicle. I went car shopping with my father and he suggested Lone Star Chevy. It was the 3rd dealership… and Kelvin came up to me and asked what I was looking for. I told him a small SUV and he directed me to the Equinox. I knew I wanted a SUV but wasn't sure if the price was for me. Kelvin explained all the deals and with his help and my great credit, I bought a 2014 Equinox LTZ. The customer service that I received from Kelvin was amazing, great experience for a 1st timer like myself. I wasn't pressured to buy anything out of my price range and he worked wonders with what I wanted my payments to be. Thanks Lone Star Chevy for the great hospitality.great experience

Transmission and Radiator service
by rolandm on 07/08/2014I took my 2008 Tahoe to have the transmission and radiator fluids changed. The Tahoe was ready before noon as promised. The service department also checked the vehicle for other problems and non were found. I would Recommend this dealer for… service of your vehicle.Dissatisfied
by ericp4 on 06/28/2014Wont stand behind product. Blamed me for a factory defect. Showed them new cars on the lot with same problem and they still said I caused the problem with my car! Really guys !!! One of the other problems they said they fixed is worse than… when I brought it in. NOT HAPPYWe apologize for the disagreement. Unfortunately, this situation is not a warranty concern. If you would like to discuss this further please contact our General Manager Johnnie Smith at johnnie.smith@lonestarchevrolet.com.
thanks for your excellence!
by seahorses on 06/18/2014Mike S. works [non-permissible content removed] to satisfy the customer for sure! Little problem with 2013 camero and he never gave up on working on it till it was fixed. Another dealership in town, Mac Haik, just told us that is the way… the engine was supposed to sound and that nothing was wrong with it. Well, there was! and Lone Star fixed it. Thanks Mike and good job Lone Star! When i get ready to purchase a new vehicle in a year, I will come see you for sure!Great Team
by Herdt1 on 06/13/2014Start to finish a great place. Awesome inventory and staff. People here go the extra mile to earn your business.Deception and aggressiveness
by mitchk1 on 06/21/2010I have always been suspicious when it comes to the practices of car dealerships. Lonestar Chevrolet takes the cake with their deceptive practices. They repair severely wrecked cars and market them as "Certified" and they acknowlege the… practice as an industry practice. They bait and switch with their warranty offerings by modifying ever so slightly the warranty paperwork so they can provide something other than what was agreed to. Below is a message that i sent to the GM at this dealership after attempting to settle my disputes with the Sales Manager. It speaks for itself: Hi Ms Cross, I would like to talk to you about a recent ugly incident that took place at your place of business today. I have had a dispute with your organization for awhile and today I tried to resolve this impasse with Mr. Blanchard. The conversation became somewhat heated and although I am not proud of my behavior, I am totally appalled at the behavior of your GSM, Mr. Blanchard. I have never come across anyone so ill equipped to handle a dispute as Mr. Blanchard. Spewing obscenities in an aggressive, assaulting manner while making comments like "you have short man's disease" while aggressively pursuing a customer into your parking lot is not becoming of a professional under any circumstances. All of this in front of your sales staff and customers. I would like to speak to you in detail about this. If I do not hear from you I will run this up hill to your owner and to the Regional level at Chevrolet if necessary. I am not sure that this type of behavior is good for business and I would be shocked if you condone it. Mr. Blanchard is by far the most unprofessional manager that I have ever come across in any business. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with your business as has many of my friends and business associates and this kind of incident could and should cost you millions in lost business in the future if ignoredSince this earlier post I have spoken with Ms. Cross, GM at LoneStar. She was extremely responsive and I beleive sincere with her comments. A much more refined professional than others in the organization and it would do the organization justice for her to deal with customer disputes directly and shield them from others who do not posess the necessaary skills. Looking back to the original transaction and to be fair, the original sales person was actually cordial and helpful and the negotiation was smooth. So I would modify the rating of the saless person as good as well as the vehicle selection rating as good.
How could they?
by jcmouton on 11/19/2009I knew going in that I might not be able to leave with the vehicle that I wanted. I did not imagine that I would be treated like a child. They were nice when I went and talked to me like a man. Then came all the pre-finance paperwork which… took over and hour. This was before I was even allowed to view the truck that I was planning on buying. I asked twice to see it. I was told when all the finance paperwork was done then we could go take a look at it. I was amazed that I had to finance a truck that I wasn't even allowed to see. Oh it gets better. After waiting for two hours they finally came with a price, it was not even close to the one they quoted me through email communication. I am not mad at this point, because I finally was able to test the truck. It was really nice but not six hundred fifty dollars a month nice. They said they would see what they could do and asked me to leave. I looked around stunned, I wasn't doing anything rude. As a matter of fact all that I did was look at the truck that another sales person continued to try to sell from out under me by showing it to other people. This is a fantastic dealership if you like things like getting kicked. I just wish they would have treated me like a man and not a kid.Bait and Switch
by ecofeco on 06/07/2008The title says it all. Well, almost. After trying to close of deal for 16 HOURS (spread over 3 days) they couldn't tell me straight out that my credit wasn't good enough or that I needed a bigger down payment, so they tried to pawn off a… used car with high miles and even higher payments. I lost time and money dealing with these amateurs. I went to Carmax later that evening and was in and out in ONE HOUR! I've learned my lesson. If the dealer can't sell me what I want within 2 hours, I walk and so should you.Great service!
by tx_lady on 02/09/2014updated 07/24/2025I never thought I would be taking my Trailblazer to a dealership for an oil change, but Lone Star is the greatest. Have been going there for over 8 years and the service gets better and better. They have helped me keep my 2005 Trailblazer… in top shape with almost 100,000 miles on it.front brake service
by rolandm on 02/10/2014updated 07/24/2025My 2008 Tahoe was making a noise from the front brakes. Mike, the service tech call and confirmed that the Tahoe needed new brakes and quotes me the cost of the repair. He also said that they checked out the Tahoe for any maintenance or… repairs needed. None needed. The Tahoe was repaired and ready the same day.Best Experience
by Mart2014 on 04/26/2014updated 07/24/2025This was the best experience yet, from sales to driving out our new Chevrolet. Thanks Joe!Great Job!
by sylelena on 02/24/2013updated 07/24/2025James Hill has made my experience great in getting a new car. I will recommend him and dealership to any one I know."Road Force Balancing"?
by trav2009 on 04/22/2014updated 07/24/2025We bought a beautiful 2009 Traverse in July 2013. I took the vehicle back within a week to have the suspension/tires checked for a slight wobble in the steering. They "spin balanced" and rotated the tires at that time. Took it in a month… later 2nd time for same thing and they aligned the vehicle. 3rd time they replaced the power steering pump (extended warranty work). This last time (April 2014) for the wobble, (Each visit, I had kept asking about possible steel belt separation in one of the tires) they "Force Balanced" the tires which measures the thickness of the rubber is uniform and would be a manufacturer defect. Three of the 4 Continental tires measured outside the acceptable range and needed replaced. I had to go to Discount tire since they sell Continentals for possible replacement since they still had a lot of tread. They measured the tread at 7/32 and stated if there was 9/32 still left Conti would have given some type of refund. Discount Tire did the right thing and gave me some money back when I elected to buy a set of Michelins. Just came back from a trip to Austin and the ride was smooth as glass. I feel if Lonestar Chev had done the "Force balancing" the 1st time I brought it back questioning the tires that I would have had the 9/32 tread needed to get a mfg. rebate/refund toward new tires.Dear Trav: Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our dealership.
